CHAPTER 87

Rion and Ivone stared out the window. Outside, several cars were still clearly pacing around the inn where they were staying. That made them inevitably have to survive until it was completely safe.

Fortunately, Rion did not hesitate to pay the innkeeper to keep his mouth shut when asking about them, even though they knew that Frederick's men could not possibly know their names when making a hotel reservation.

The sound of a knock on the door from outside broke their reverie. As Rion was about to open the door, Ivone tried to hold him back for a moment. "Be careful. Take a peek at who's coming," she ordered.

Rion gently brushed off Ivone's hand, holding his arm. "I'm not a kid. Of course, I'll do it."

"I'm just reminding you. Can't you be a little more friendly when talking to me?" she hissed.
