Chapter 266

That afternoon, Calla went to visit Casper.

Casper could indeed walk now. He was very happy to see Calla and handed her a big apple as soon as she arrived.

Whether he truly recognized her or not, she couldn't tell. What was certain, though, was that Casper was friendly toward her.

Calla spent the entire afternoon playing with Casper.

As evening approached, Calla decided to leave, worried she might not be able to hail a cab later.

But Casper held onto Calla's clothes with his chubby little hands, not wanting to let go. He used one or two-word phrases to express his reluctance to see her leave.

Even after leaving the villa, Calla's mind was filled with the words Casper had struggled to utter just earlier. "Don't... Don't... go!"

Though it pained her, Calla had no reason to stay and take care of him. She could only hug him, kiss him, and promise to visit often.

She wasn't sure if Casper understood, but he stopped fussing as soon as she did. He then returned obediently to Hazel
