As Calla reached home, her landlady, Kelly emerged from across the hall, handing her a package.

"Ms. Sherman, there's a package here for you."

Calla smiled as she accepted it. "Thank you."

"No problem." Kelly waved and went back into her own apartment.

Calla unlocked her door and glanced down at the package in her hands. It was light, presumably documents of some sort.

She then caught sight of the sender's address and instantly frowned. It read Brightway Law Firm.

Puzzled, Calla opened the package and pulled out a document. As expected, it was a termination contract, signed by the firm. They had mailed a copy to her.

Looking at the termination contract, Calla thought about the past, feeling a profound sense of regret.
