Noticing Calla's downcast eyes and expressionless face, Mercer frowned slightly. Then, he turned away in disappointment.

After seeing Mercer off, Jasmine returned and sighed at Calla's desolate demeanor. "Mrs. Garland, can't you lower your pride a little? How can you keep a man like this?"
