Chapter twenty seven

I gulped as I saw Selena stare at me.

“Ariana?” She turned back to Dave to ask and he nodded.

I couldn’t let him poison Selena’s mind against me, there was no way I’d let that happen. I rushed to Selena to explain everything.

“Selena, I…” before I could complete my statement, he spoke.

“She saved me!” He said and I stood in shock. I wasn’t sure I’d heard right, did he just tell her I’d saved him?

“I know she saved you Dave. I was here, the doctor was already here when I got back I just want to know how you hurt yourself so badly” she told him and that was when I knew that I was in for it.

He inhaled deeply before taking her hand in his and then caressing it slowly and lovingly. I stared as he acted so lovingly with her and had I been told myself that this was the same man who’d tried assaulting me sexually after giving me slaps actoss the face for mentioning Selena’s name, I wouldn’t believe.
