5 Maynard and her scent

“This bitch look at what you have done!” I grabbed her hard by the collar.

Immediately I know it's a human girl, maybe she’s trying to make me notice, other girls have done it before and tried to win my favor. However, for unknown reasons I seemingly get so angry and I can’t control my emotions. My inner wolf  who is half awake and half asleep seems to be disturb. I’m trying so hard to hold the canines to appear.

“Maynard let go of the kid” my younger brother’s calm voice brought me back to my senses, and slowly I loosened the grip on the human girl’s collar. 

Then I heard her starting to beg, “I… I’m sorry! I didn’t… mean it!” this voice!

Immediately, I let go of her and when she was about to hit the ground, the kitchen staff caught her.

“A-Adel!”

Adel? 

I look at the human girl, she’s not like those other campus girls who tried to favor me or have sex with. Rather she’s just plain and simple. Those dark loosed hair that got tangled from the fall, pale white skin and a very small frame. 

It was Myrvinne who urges to leave before anything else happened. “Just be careful next time.” referring to the kid. Then he tapped my shoulder to signal to let go. But my eyes are fixed to that human girl, she must have thought that we left so she raised her face and we have direct eye contact.

Those round dark colored eyes which are a bit red and teary, her oval shaped face that makes her look so young and childish, and those thin red lips that tremble from fear that makes me want to ravish it hard until it bleeds.

Desire. 

I wanted to eat this human girl the moment I laid my eyes on her. However, this is dangerous.

I stopped from my thoughts and decided to catch her later once this matter dies down. 

“I’ll remember your scent.” It is a promise, I will have her no matter what happens.

Leaving her behind, I followed my brother and cousin and started to organize my thoughts and this rising desire within me and my inner wolf.

There is still one more subject before our schedule is over, and I still can’t calm myself. I needed to find that girl, I could still smell the faint scent of her around the campus, meaning she is still around somewhere.

“Bro, stop sniffing.” Irvin caught me and gave a hard slap at the back.

“Shi-- , what was that?” I growl at him, the other students are looking at the three of us, the old students find it normal while the new ones must have been surprised. 

“You’ve been sniffing since earlier when we left the cafeteria. Are you craving human food?” Myrvinne joked to me, but I didn’t laugh at all. Instead, I decided to tell them what I felt at the earlier incident.

“I want that girl.” I said firmly. Upon hearing this, the two men beside me froze. It was Irvin who recovered from what I just said.

“You mean Cassedy, that gal who came earlier?” 

“No.” I replied

“Then Sasha? You were flirting with her in the parking lot early in the morning.” It was Myrvinne now.

“No.” the two men looked at each other.

“Then…” My brother paused and I think he pondered hard and was careful, I know that even though he is my brother I am still the next Alpha to lead them and he is careful not to offend me at any cost.

“I’m telling you, I want that little girl at the cafeteria earlier” I told them frankly to make it easier for them.

“B-but… You never played with those types before, is that a change of taste?” Irvin knows I play a lot with hot girls and mature ones can’t believe it. Even I, myself, didn't know why I desire such a bumpkin.

“And specially it's a human…” Myrvinne added.

Yes, it is a human girl.

Which is just thinking about desiring a human; it is a taboo against the whole pack. Knowing the misfortune it brought to the pack several decades ago.

“That’s why I need to find her and make sure of it.” I am determined to do so and thus, these two men just gulped and yielded to me.

As we walked across the hallway on the way to our last subject, I could smell her scent getting stronger, however, there’s an overlapping disgusting scent that makes me wary. Does that mean, “those” are here as well? 

I signaled both men who are following me as we get closer, the door is the room for our minor subject and last class. As I entered the front door, both scents overlapped and I searched throughout the room finding the human girl with that “thing”.

“Maynard…” It was Irvin who warned me. With his senses, he knew what we were looking at.

“I know, I won’t cause any trouble and besides, class is starting soon.” I said to them,

I start to make my way to the seat where that human girl and that “thing” is seated, as I get closer, they seem to be close as they laugh and talk. 

When I stopped in front of them, it was when they noticed my presence. Those almond shaped eyes, finally look at me again and my desire starts to trouble me.

“Hey there, meet me again?” I gave her my most charming smile that every girl on the campus is dying for. However, my expectation failed me as she started to avoid eye contact and it pains me.

Where are you looking?

With this, the urge was unstoppable, I touched her chin with my fingers and made her look at me. It was only little skin that touched, and I know, it was her, her warmth reaches my senses and nothing more makes me satisfied. With just a single touch, I confirmed it.

It’s my woman.

“Dear, look at me when I talk to you. I’m quite a jealous man so don’t look the other way, understand?”

“Excuse me, but it is rude to touch a lady's face without her permission.” It was then, I remember that this “thing” is here.

It is a female, and with those sharp prideful eyes, you can definitely know it was “them”.

“I dare not to intervene with you Lady Krieson, my interest here is this human girl.” I am trying to control myself not disrespect an elder, for any mistake may lead to another bloodbath and I don’t want it to happen in my reign.

“Yes I know, but can’t see you, with your sudden gesture you may scare her out. So let go of her face and have a human talk.” she implied acting all high mighty and righteous, this is why I hate her race. Even if I respect her, I am still the heir Alpha and she must not act all so cocky on me. I was about to argue with her when “Wait! Can you let go? And what’s with that weird talk? Aren’t you human too?”

We all were silent.
