7 I don’t intend to meet you again

“Maynard Yngvird!” It was the first time I’ve ever raised my voice to my brother and the next Alpha of our race.

I have always been watching him. I did not intend to stop any of his pranks when we were young. I respect him as an elder brother, my only blood related sibling. As we grow up, he may seem harsh in some way, especially his bad temper which he got from our father. It really runs in the blood I guess, for he knows that he will be the next Alpha in line, he has always been so proud of himself.

Despite having flaws in his character, he’s always been a wise leader, at an early age of fourteen he led the Mafias on the deadly mission that almost half of our men got injured. He single handedly faced those enemies and was able to turn the tables on our side.

It was then, everyone never said anything against him as the heir. Having it said, no one even dares say a word when he plays with those human girls. As an Alpha, finding a mate is important, the time he meets Luna will be a big part of the pack. Those flings are nothing, but a heated moment everyone has experienced.

Desiring a human girl?

“ Would you like to mate with me?” Mate? How can he offer this frail human such an important thing!

Without realizing, I almost broke the table as I punched it hard. The whole classroom focuses on us and this human girl that Maynard has been eyeing since the incident happened.

“Myrvinne, how dare you---” he gnarled on his breath, it is such a disrespect to his pride as Alpha for his Beta to act in such a way.

“Wait, you both cool down!” Irvin knowing the situation may leave into a fang fight between us if he did not intervene.

“There’s a limit on how much you can pull on a play like that.” I look at that frail being , fully shocked by what we are arguing about. “Maynard, I respect you more than you’ve known, and just this time I cannot tolerate this kind of foolishness” Never have I bear in mind that he would take this seriously.

“Who says I'm fooling around? What I decide to whom I mate, it doesn’t concern you.” Is he serious? My anger stills, however the intimidating presence as an Alpha is suppressing my inner wolf.

I am still someone underneath his wing, I could not utter another word of complaint as he oppressed me harder.

“My, my, these puppies better go away. Dog fights aren't good here with many humans”. Irritated, we all look at Madam Krieson, she is the only thing that would treat us werewolves as mere creatures.

“The younger Yngvidr is known for having a prime temper, but this time Alpha you have angered him.” continued to speak of our race, I know she’s using manipulation magic to alter the attention of the students right now.

“Even if you are an elder you can’t talk down to us!” Once again his temper got worse, it has never been better when it comes to dealing with that woman.

“Heed your anger young man, there's nothing to gain from letting your emotion take over your reasoning.” With this, his offensive wolf slowly calmed.

“You guys are weird”. All surprised at the sudden remark, this human girl has been listening all along with our conversation. Isn’t she affected by Krieson’s hypnotism?

“Please, leave me alone Mr. Yngvidr, I have no intention to even have myself acquainted with you.” Her determined words leave us all speechless.

The great Maynard Yngvidr has been rejected.

“Listen, I really apologize for the incident at the cafeteria, only that… Kindly ignore me and never bother anymore.” her gaze lowers and shows sincerity. She may be a human that our race is avoiding, but her etiquette and the way she delivers her apology is no lie at all.

Her personality is way better than this i'll tempered Alpha. He doesn't deserve such a good girl like this one.

Looking at my brother, I know that his pride as a superior has been hurt. How will the high and mighty Maynard Yngvidr accept the rejection of this mere human? On second thought, it must be for the better, it will be hard for us and the pack to deal with such a taboo. 

History cannot repeat itself.

“I am just merely asking you for companionship, how can you heartlessly reject such a rare proposal?” This man! Still hasn’t let go of his passing desire for this human girl? 

“Mister, please don’t bother me and just think nothing happens like this. I think it will be better, there’s a lot more girls around the campus that’ll suit your taste and will accept that great proposal you’ve been offering.” As she flatly refused for the second time, a clever smile that has no fear nor offense showed. A rare human who’s not even affected by the charm that Maynard has been excreting since we came in.

“Oh you’re so interesting, I didn't think you would refuse him that much.” Krieson, who was expectating smiled wide at the human girl, then turned to us, “You’ve heard her, don’t bother.” smiling that shows success in refuting us.

“Any normal person would do that.” I was about to laugh at it, even Irvin covered his mouth. Guess that, there ‘ll be no problem dealing with her. The problem is with this werewolf who wouldn’t even let go.

“Seriously, I may not be able to persuade you at first, maybe next time?” He still hasn’t given up.

“Like I said, I don’t intend to meet you again and if we ever cross paths, please just ignore me.” a sarcastic smile returned to the persistent Alpha. This human has a knack for it.
