A frown crept onto my forehead. I knew of the golf club that Ethan mentioned. It was my mom's wedding gift to Christina.

Lately, Christina had been frequenting that club as she was working to manage it.

In my silence, Ethan carefully added, "Shane didn't seem to recognize me. He introduced himself as Ms. Wellington's 'special assistant' to my clients."

My eyes widened in shock when I learned that Christina had made a realtor her special assistant.

Trying to keep my calm, I thanked Ethan before hurrying over to the golf club that now belonged to Christina. A staff member stopped my car at the entrance. "Sir, do you have a reservation? We don't let our customers in unless they have a prior reservation."

Scanning me from head to toe, he added in a disdainful tone, "Our boss wants us to vet the visitors. Only those with a net worth of a million dollars and above are allowed in."

I took off my sunglasses and glared at him. "Is that so? Your boss has set a really low bar."

With that, I got out of my car and marched into the golf club, ignoring his attempts at stopping me.

When he still tried to stop me, I shot him a warning that made him freeze, "You'll have a new boss by the time I leave this golf club."

I searched for Shane and Christina based on the location that Ethan provided. From afar, I spotted Shane holding Christina's hand from behind, teaching her how to golf. Their faces nearly pressed together.

They even looked happy together.

My anger spiked. I walked briskly over to them, grabbed a golf club, and swung it hard. The loud crack sent Shane jumping in shock.

He grumbled unhappily, "That spot isn't open for reservation. Why are you—"

Their faces fell when they turned and saw me. Christina frantically released Shane's hand and managed a smile. "Zachary, you should've given me a heads-up! I can pick you up if you want to visit the golf club."

Pointing at Shane, I confronted her unfeelingly, "Why is he here?"

Looking smug, he hid behind Christina and said pitifully, "Mr. Bellway, please don't blame Ms. Wellington. I couldn't pay for the tableware you ruined at the show unit, and my company fired me. I had no choice but to come to Ms. Wellington for help."

The golfers around us shot me funny looks and gossiped among themselves after hearing what Shane had to say.

Meanwhile, Christina's face had clouded over. Her ego was wounded, and for the first time, she lashed out at me. "Zachary, I'm the owner of this golf club. Do I need your permission to hire anyone?

"Besides, it's true that you ruined the tableware at the show unit. I saw it with my own eyes. Look, I hired Shane as my special assistant all because of you. I didn't want rumors to spread."

The other golfers immediately took Christina's side. One of them advised me, "You can't eat your cake and have it too. You should let this slide because you're in the wrong."

Another added, "Just give the young man a second chance."

My face flushed in embarrassment. I admitted I was extremely cowardly at that moment. For a second, I struggled to defend myself against their accusations.

I couldn't understand why my fiancée, whom I had loved for five years, would hurt me over a mere realtor. Didn't she pledge her trust in me that day?

At that time, Ethan had arrived at the scene. He mumbled something into my ear, causing my heart to sink and my eyes to tear up. My eyes immediately became bloodshot.

Christina rarely saw me cry. She panicked at the sight of my emotional outburst. "Zachary, please don't do this. It's not a big deal."

She even reached out to hold me, but I swatted her hand away in disgust. "Do NOT touch me!"

Angrily slamming the golf club onto the ground, I bellowed at Christina, "Christina Wellington, I'm calling off the wedding!"

After you purchased your newlywed home with him, you came back for Shane."Taken aback, Shane immediately shoved Ethan out of the way. He refuted in a shrill voice, "No

Upon hearing this, Christina realized she couldn't afford to offend these ladies. She quickly waved her hands and explained, "No, no.
