Yes, I'm resuming back to my life which I was halfway leaving with imaginary packed up bags to the 9 3/4 quarters, painted in all white as I spotted-

"MILLIE! WAKE UP, YOU THICK SKULL" Hailey slapped my cheek with her shrilling voice piercing in my ears.

Ah... I think I'll need to buy hearing aids now.

"Oww..." I winced at the effect she left on my cheek, throbbing in pain and wain. She probably added some of her revenge in the slap of awakening.

"Oh! She's awake." Hailey announced at my grunts audible for her to not go for another homerun hit on my cheek.

I sat up, massaging my slightly bruised cheek as I fluttered my eyes open about to utter the dramatic words, What happened? Or How long was I out?

But!

Yes, there's always that but.

I couldn't as I stared straight across the scene of Noah Hudson aka My husband aka the guy who's handsome apparently, drinking my strawberry milkshake.

"HEY!" I furiously

If 9 3/4 quarters was real, I wouldn't be here rummaging in my already spoilt closet for an extra-long, extra baggy, extra-large shirt for my husband. It sounded weird to say husband... not when I was simping on Newt from The Maze Runner. I have my times of affection for specific people."What's taking so long?" Meredith groaned, kicking away some of my clothes slightly that I had thrown on the floor."I'm trying to find my father's, exclusive with Extra as the special ingredient, shirt." I grinned right before my sweater fell on me, covering half of my view to Meredith's disgusted face.May her face rest in a while to normalcy."In this mess, I'll probably get it after an eternity later," Noah commented, picking my garments with his dirty feet as he scrunched his nose in reflex.I rolled my eyes, still on with the task, I had assigned myself. Our marriage wasn't gonna end

The textile business should be thankful of my strength to rip their strong qualified fabrics, making people buy their clothes more frequently. As well as to that, my clumsiness must be awarded for the secret business we'd be doing. But this isn't an insurance planning where I could hand it to him after ripping his top."Ah! I didn't see that in a while." Meredith pointed out to the course of action I've accidentally attempted."It's no surprise that she wouldn't rip his shirt though." Hailey had to comment to pile up my accidents like it was something nice to say all of my bad sides.I do want to get rid of Noah but not like this. He shouldn't see any of my flaws. But then I'm an open book. My first chapter would already be filled with faults."Meaning?" Oliver had the audacity to ask.How I wished to stitch his mouth so he never ever asks

Where were we? My eyes couldn't make out the dark but as the vision cleared, the fear grew in me. Continous knocks on the front door, echoed in my house enough to wake me up in alert. My eyes quickly scoured everywhere for a clock that sat on the bedside table. It read 2 AM in the midnight. Any sane person would not be barging on the door around this time except if it's an emergency but that would not be the case right now. I tried to go for my pillow but something unfamiliar touched my fingertips and because of my anxiety, I kicked the unfamiliar object, almost, off my bed while hurriedly seizing the clock as a weapon. "What is wrong with you, Millie?!" Noah groaned as he sat up, glaring at me. "Oh! It's just you." I took a breat

If anyone ever asks my mother, what's her precious thing in this world that she would be shaken if anything worse occurred to it?It would be not me. I probably am listed as the least precious thing on her list.Yes, I regarded myself as athing. If you're wondering why- hope you are because then it would be useless of me to explain it- even being on the list is a big thing. She favors her houseware more than me.I really wonder if I was switched in the labor room."What happened in here?!"I stared at the mess, in disbelief. Well, it wasn't clearly a mess since most of it was missing.

Unknown to her, the disaster did not leave the town called my home. Do you know how sometimes the author has no idea and just throws every absurd idea into the plot to get an outcome and finally end the story?Yeah, that'll be happening here."Uh hello, um... counselor?" I greeted, forgetting my breath reeks of alcohol until she put her palm over her mouth."Mrs. Burro." She replied curtly.I cleared my throat, stepping back in embarrassment while I sneaked a glance at Noah who sprayed his mouth with a refresher quickly.I blinked in surprise, thinking about him actually having that as a carrier item. Does that mean he drinks on a daily basis?"Mrs. Burro, let's go to the living room." He addressed. We all walked over to the walking room only to be struck by the lightning of chaos part infinite. I can't keep a count on my hurricane hits in the house."Oh-" He suppressed himself from saying anything and pushed me forward to hand

Like a museum piece, I roamed around the public market as a way to get to the destination of the thing in my hand to its rightfully home."Millie, you're embarrassing me," Noah grunted, trying his best to act like he doesn't know me.But that won't work as I stuck by his side and showed the plate like a homeless person asking for a penny to spare. I'm many things right now but none of that matters until I get what am looking for."I need to find the exact kind, style, pattern, the texture of this plate. There should not be any difference!"Noah twisted his neck, looking at the pillow's rack as judgemental eyes passed by us. He was very embarrassed to the point he was ready to put me up for adoption."We just need to buy a few plates and get out of here and set back the plates before my mother finds out." I scanned for a board painted with the broad letters of labeling the area of the plates."Then hurry up.""Oh, dear husb

Millie Quinn, cause of her imprisonment, killed a man just by her elbow. Was it the merciless blow or- "Millie, don't just stand there!" I heed Noah's scolding and helped the man up. Gladly I haven't knocked him out as he stood comfortably on his feet though there were signs of nauseous stumbling while I tried to balance him. "Are you alright? I'm sorry for what my wife had done." I added, "Accidentally. It wasn't intended." I glared at Noah who emulated my expressions. If it weren't for the injured man, our glaring contest wouldn't have ended on short notice. He spoke, "Oh, it's alright." I gasped, staring wide-eyed at him. Not gonna lie, he's cute and handsome. Noah nudged my side, signaling me to do something. The reason for us staring wide-eyed at him. Oh! He wasn't any celebrity or anything it's just... I think I broke his nose. "Um... are you sure you're alright?" I asked, stepping an inch closer with a heavy unsettling feeling. The guilt of knocking a charming face's

It was certainly a surprise for me when I realized the guy I had almost killed with my super-duper strong healthy elbow- mind the exaggeration- turned out to be none other than the son of Mrs. Burro. Why do I keep meeting people who are closely related? Don't tell me that next time it would be that Mrs. Burro is a close mate of my mother.... Wait, I certainly don't want that disaster to occur. The storm has to lay low or else I'll be swept away with it if mother ever finds out about our marriage. And where the heck is Noah? Did he go on a scavenger hunt for the first-aid box?? I believe he's hiding instead because honestly, I didn't wanna face Mrs. Burro either. She asks too many questions."Jacob, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in the school?"Jacob scoffed, showing attitude to his mother. "oh! congratulations on realizing that.""Hey... that's rude to speak like that to your mother." I frowned, disciplining him.Jacob looked in my direction, eyes connected to e

What day is today? I can't stop thinking about what Noah said earlier. It's been on my mind all day, and now I'm alone with all these strange assumptions swirling around in my head. Noah had some work to attend to, and I didn't wanna go to my Uni, so here I am. I'm trying to bake a cake. I decided not to overthink... for now, at least. Also, my apology needs a supporter, though he already has forgiven me. But to lighten up things and to get my mind over the word 'Wife', that's been ringing up in my head, I am attempting a world-class murder- I mean, making a decent edible cake. Did I ever mention that I can't cook? Or was it that I suck at cooking? "Snap out of it! Alright, Millie. Now is your time to shine... with sparkle, not smoke." I muttered the latter in hopes of succeeding. "First step. Preheat the oven..." I turned behind as I fearfully stared at my oven. It's the first step to disaster for me. That oven has been through a lot, always surviving from my at

The next morning wasn't delightful. I expected this. More or less. I was here sitting in my room, shedding Niagara falls from my eyes after a weird sensation hit me. I call it 'The guilt of disappointing my husband'. Which is weird. Why? Even I don't know. After going through all that conversation that happened between us, I realized I was wrong. That's good, but what more did I feel? The pain of making Noah upset. I don't know why I've been feeling this for the past few hours. I didn't get a wink of sleep... actually, I did sleep, but as soon as I woke up, the train of last night's thoughts hit me again. It is weird because I don't have any sort of attachment with Noah. He's a stranger to me, and we got married too recently. I couldn't have feelings built up for him, right? With a heavy heart, I opened the door to my room and found the hallway quiet. It's not a good thing... but then chaos or loud noise is also not a good thing 'cause that signals towards my clumsiness.

Where were we? In the middle of negotiation. Well, it was most likely from my side than theirs. All they wanted was to get as much money they could grab on."I don't have any money. You think, I can afford even this frozen yoghurt?... Yes, I can but I'm grounded. Why? Because I broke my mother's toaster. Do you even understand how that relatively is senseless?"Silence fell in and responses dried up from my random ranting. Plus, this ain't really the right time and right place to rant out about my personal life problems."That is senseless! My mom smacked my phone because I didn't call her back. Like how am I supposed to call you back now? And it wasn't even recharged and she even knew about this." One of the two joined in my rant out session.I gasped. "That's- What is even that??""I know right-" The other guy smacked his head, whispering him."Are you crazy? We're here to rob not fill in our painful tragedies." He sneered at his mate and got back to us, aiming the gun at Noah inste

"Millie, who in their right mind would go frozen yoghurt shopping?" Noah asked as he wore his coat.I pointed at myself innocently. My stomach wouldn't let me sleep peacefully and the next morning would be the face of a witch with hair all dishevelled that even the crows would run away from me.That probably didn't make any sense, did it?He sighed, patting my head before leaving the house.I grinned, "So do you know where they sell Frozen Yoghurt at this time?" He asked, turning to me.I smirked, nodding proudly. "Yes, because the only way to shut my stomach from almost transforming into a lion, I used to sneak out and visit this shop.""... I'm surprised you didn't get kidnapped." He plastered the same old unimpressed bored expression."Because I'm strong as well as heavy. They scurried away just from the sight of me.""No, they just found you useless. Nobody wants a disaster." He climbed into his car after that comment.I gasped lightly, glaring at him before rounding up the car an

After throwing the ripped dress in the garbage, I retreated back to my room. Noah seemed to have enough fun and teasings for the day and was the first to fall asleep.I laid on my bed, exhausted and switched on my flip phone. Yes, I still have this phone."Would it be alright to call Hailey right now?" It was unnecessary to concern myself with this question when my fingers were over the dialer buttons. The phone rang as I waited for her reply. I looked around to see if I have any snack to eat but my room was a mess with the clothes that Oliver and Lucas expedited with."Hello?" Her groggy voice sounded through the liner."Oh hey! Did I wake you up?" I asked."Yes."I waited for her to continue but realized it just a word reply."Oh... right. Anyways stay awake and suffer while listening to my story because this is truly shocking." I tried to wake her up with my choice of words."Can it not wait till tomorrow?" She sounded desperate for sleep but this has to happen today, right now."

Silence has been absorbed in the walls of Noah's rooms and heat desipated from the uprising tension from the atmosphere that I doubted for a second, am I in the sauna?"Oliver, why are you dressed like my mother?" I asked. "Or Lucas, but then my mom is short.""And I'll have you know that you, my daughter, is shorter than me." I zipped my mouth tight shut and bent down on my knees before the magical words sprouted out of my mouth. "I BEG FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS, MOTHER. OH MOTHER WHO IS TOLERATING SUCH AN INSOLENT DAUGHTER."She scorned at me, "Before that, explain me what's going on in here."Oh right... I forgot I'm in Noah's temporary room and also he's looking prett- I mean he's in woman clothings which I would say are not fit for him. I should try my other outfit on h-"Millie was... bullying me." Noah butted, acting timid.Wow... that whole demeanor shifted from a wild beast who ripped my dress to I'm just a rabbit who's being hunted.Anyways, as if my mom would believe him. Look

"HOW DARE YOU SLAP MY YOGHURT AWAY-" I punched the man, going full thrust in one heart beat. His face was pretty rough and I knew my hand would bare the consequences of breaking someone's face by first breaking my knuckles but-We're talking about my Precious Yoghurt here!"Millie, oh shit-" Noah gasped while he was busy hitting the other guy and left me to take care of this one.Well you're probably confused what had happened. ........3 hours ago:I was looking around for Noah, since he hadn't come down at all. I was getting worried. The next moment I opened the door to my room after searching for him in his room, he was right there. In front of me.In my clothes. How did he even fit in them- wait that's not important to know."What the heck!? And here I thought you fainted or something. Were you going on an adventure to get the first-aid box??" I scolded him, immersed in giving him a good beating."Boo!" I screamed in surprise, falling on my butt as I noticed two figures emergin
