CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

Anna's Pov

Why hasn't Arnold come to see me? Maybe I gave him the wrong attitude yesterday? I felt so uneasy throughout the day at work.

When it was time to go home, the team leader wanted to see me

"Gosh! I hate seeing her face. She is so arrogant" I said to myself.

I matched straight to her office, "You sent for me ma'am"

"Yes, just to remind you not to forget you are working at night. So go home, freshen up and move to your duty post. I am sure you are single and living alone, so you have no excuse"

Wow! Is that what she thinks?

"I have a child and my husband will not allow me to step out at night. So that was why I chose you. I checked your profile before doing that" she smiled.

My face didn't shake. She doesn't deserve my smile. "Alright," I turned to leave and she called me back.

"Anna, be careful"

I nodded and left immediately.

That sucks. She has no human feelings or sympathy. I am not scared though, but I will prove to them how strong a mother of four could be.
