Anna's Pov

The city streets were bathed in the soft glow of street lamps as I walked aimlessly through the night. I was on the night shift as usual.

I felt lost and broken, haunted by the memories of the brutal attacks we had experienced in the city.

The weight of the lives lost and the pain that has been caused weighed heavily on my heart.

I had always been a kind and caring person as my parents taught me to be, and the thought of harming others was absent from my nature but the curse that had befallen me had twisted my very being, awakening a thirst for blood that was now seemingly irresistible.
