The Event

I felt grateful as his eyes darted away from me.

I still could not imagine it, I still could not wave off the way I felt, when he said my name.

Still I didn't want this.

Was there a way I could object to this?

"Could you take her to select the dress? Grandma's voice interrupted my thoughts.

"No I can't" Ethan stood up, rolling his sleeves, exposing perfect forearms, I swallowed.

" Let me take her, grandma " Royan winked at me

" No" she replied and Royan smirked.

The universe was surely on my side, I didn't want to go to anywhere with any of them.

" Can you get the dress Eth?

"If I can"

"I really do not have any choice"

The frown etched on his face at this moment, only highlighted his well sculpted face.

"I'm leaving"

he replied, and walked away, his eyes on his phone.

Grandma's eyes lingered on him, there was something about the way she stared at him.

It felt much like pain and hope, maybe I'd gotten it all wrong.

"Thank you for agreeing to go with Ethan, thank you"

I swallowed,

Royan smiled.

There was really no way I could object, I really did not want to be at a party, with any Bravado by my side.

I wanted nothing to do with them,yet I was always drawn to them.

The dress came in, and it was delivered to my door.

It was beautiful, but too revealing.

I couldn't wear this, my eyes accessed it for the tenth time.

I waited till he arrived, standing by his door, I knocked, my heart in my throat.

"Come in" his rough baritone voice made me more tensed.

I walked in, and he turned, a frown etched on his face.

'you can do this ' I said to myself.

I wasn't going to waver, I was going to do say what I wanted.

Even tho his intimidating gaze swept over me, the way his eyes took me in, twas magnetic.

His eyes devoid of emotion was striking.

"What do you want? He stared from me to the package I was firmly holding.

" I...."

" What? He asked, his gaze focused on me.

I wasn't not going to stutter, or admit that this man intimidated me, or made me feel waves rushing through me.

I swallowed.

" I can't wear this, the dress, it's too revealing "

"And you don't like it?

"Yes" I replied

"Do you think I care? He asked, his eyes daring me to speak.

" You don't care, and I also won't wear this" I replied.

His brows furrowed.

"If you can't wear this dress, then your work here is done "

" But... "

" I can help you put it on, that's the only other solution"

I was aware of my cheeks burning.

His frown deepened.

" close the door when you leave"

I was aware of how my heart beat accelerated.

I did not wait to be told twice,

I had no choice, I had to wear this dress, against my will.

The event was later to night and I couldn't help it.

Why me? Any of the help would have been more than willing.

Why did Grannie pick me?

If only I could switch places with Ashlyn.

I fiddled with the package worriedly, there was no escape, what do I do?

Do I wear this dress and bear the lustful eyes of the Bravado's on me?

I was in a fix, nothing could absolutely stop me from attending this event.

This event was one of a kind, it would be attended by all the family members.

All members of the Bravado.

For years I've been taking home the award, and once again I was bringing it home..

I stared at my reflection, admiring the tuxedo,

I had everything I wanted, could get anything I set my eyes on.

It was no news, that people paraded me as the most selfish, arrogant,cold hearted brute.

They were not wrong, I took up a golden wrist watch, taking one lat look at the mirror before walking out.

As expected, Royan, Maxton and kylian were ready and waiting.

"I'm still wondering why she isn't here? Royan pushed away strands of hair from his face.

"Who would ever want to go with someone as mean as Eth?

Kylian grinned.

Of course, it was good, I didn't care if she backed away.

"Profit reduction this month"

I watched as they groaned.

"Why did you provoke the beast in him? Royan turned to kylian.

" Profit reduction isn't the only thing...."

"She's here" Royan's eyes sparkled.

I turned, and there she was, gently walking down the stairs.

She was gorgeous, even without make-up, her skin glowed.

The gown hugged her tightly, revealing curves they were not meant to be hidden.

I could still sense her nervousness with every step she took, she was breath taking.

I stopped myself from let my gaze wander to the slit opening, revealing her legs.

My brothers, were all drooling, as she stopped, staring at us all.

"Can we go now? I gazed from her to my watch, and back to my brothers who were all stucked in a dream state.

Royan recovered and he walked towards her, offering her his hand with a smirk.

She refused his offer.

His smile broadened, as he whispered against her ears.

" She's so preety, why won't you let me have her?

Kylian looked at me, a frown etched on his face.

"She's not one of the slut's you have sex with so you're not allowed to touch her" my tone came off harsher than It should be.

Kylian groaned

"Fuck, she's really preety"

"Keep your hands to yourself, or you know what will happen"

I walked towards her, ignoring Royan.

" Let's go" I offered her my arms.

She stared at me, unsure of what to do,

She slipped her hands into my arms, after a moment.

I ignored the smiles from my brothers as I led her to my car.
