Capture
I made an effort to resist, but Ronan's hold was too tight. To protect me from Alpha Blackwood's onslaught, he drew me behind him.
However, before we could get away, a pack of wolves with bright eyes sprang out of the darkness. Ronan squinted and bared his fangs in a snarl. The word "traitors," he growled. The wolves, Ronan's outlaws, surrounded us, their teeth clenched in anticipation. I made an effort to resist, but Ronan's hold was too tight. His gaze was fixed on mine as he drew me in. He said, "I'm sorry, Aria," in a whisper. "I didn't mean for this to happen." But the wolves struck, their jaws snapping fiercely before he could speak another word. In retaliation, Ronan twisted and turned his body to protect me from the group. However, there were too many of them, and soon Ronan was overpowered by the weight of the pack, which pinned him to the ground. I tried to fight free by screaming, but it was too late. With their teeth clenched in anticipation, the wolves surrounded me. Everything became dark after that. My head was hurting and I was laying on a hard, chilly floor when I woke up. A pair of hands shoved me back down as I attempted to sit up. Something said, "Easy, Aria," in a whisper. "You're safe now." A person towered above me, his eyes shining in the low light, as I turned around. "Who are you?" In an attempt to break free, I demanded. The figure grinned, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "My name is Kael," he said. "And I'm the Alpha of this pack." A wave of panic overcame me, and I made an effort to get up. However, Kael seized me and held me in place because he was too fast. He snarled, "You're not going anywhere, Aria," "You're our guest now." I fought him, but Kael was too powerful. Then I caught a glimpse of Ronan, standing in the dark, staring at me. "Aria," he said in a scarcely discernible whisper. I attempted to fight free after feeling a wave of optimism, but Kael kept me close. "Ronan," Kael snarled, his enraged eyes blazing. "You're not welcome here." With his gaze fixed on Kael, Ronan stepped forward. "I'm not leaving without her," he growled. Kael grinned, amusement glimmering in his eyes. His words were, "We'll see about that," The area then descended into anarchy, with the sound of snarling and growling resonating throughout the space. My heart was racing with panic as I was trapped in the centre. Everything became dark after that. My head was hurting and I was laying on a hard, chilly floor when I woke up. A pair of hands shoved me back down as I attempted to sit up. Something said, "Easy, Aria," in a whisper. "You're safe now." Kael was standing above me, his eyes shining in the low light, as I turned around. "What do you want from me?" In an attempt to break free, I demanded. Kael's eyes wrinkled at the corners as he grinned. His words, "I want to show you something," "Something that will change everything." Kael then dragged me to my feet and escorted me out of the room into an unknown and gloomy future. Ronan was standing in the shadows, staring at me as we went. "Aria," he said in a scarcely discernible whisper. I attempted to fight free after feeling a wave of optimism, but Kael kept me close. Everything became dark after that. I woke up to find myself in a vast, dark chamber with a pack of wolves around me. Kael was standing next to me, his eyes bright with anticipation. He replied, "Aria, this is the pack," "And we've been waiting for you." I attempted to fight free after feeling a wave of panic, but Kael held me firmly. Then I saw it—a big, old-looking book—open on a table close by. The phrases, printed in large, black lettering, remained readable despite the yellowed and worn pages. "Aria, this is the prophecy," Kael Kael said, "Aria, this is the prophecy," his eyes shining with anticipation. "The prophecy that foretells the coming of a great leader, a leader who will unite the packs and bring peace to our world." A wave of perplexity washed over me, and I stared at Kael, puzzled. "What does this have to do with me?" I enquired. Kael's eyes wrinkled at the corners as he grinned. In his words, "You, Aria, are the chosen one," "You are the one who has been chosen to fulfil this prophecy." I stepped back, my eyes wide with dread as a wave of terror swept through me. "No," I said with a head shake. "I don't want to be a part of this." With a stern look on his face, Kael moved towards me. "Aria, you don't have a choice," I replied. "You are the chosen one, and you must fulfil your destiny." My eyes were burning with defiance as I tightened my hands in a fit of rage. I replied, "I won't do it," "I won't be a part of this prophecy." Anger flashed in Kael's eyes as his face became icy and he held out his hand. He growled, "You will do as you are told," "You will fulfil your destiny, no matter what it takes." I stepped back, my eyes wide with dread as a wave of terror swept through me. However, everyone in the room jumped as a loud boom reverberated before Kael could take any more action. Ronan was standing at the doorway, his enraged eyes flashing. "Let her go," he said in a low, threatening growl. Kael's face froze, and he gave Ronan a sneer. His words were, "You can't stop me," and "I have the prophecy on my side." With his gaze fixed on Kael, Ronan stepped forward. "I don't care about your prophecy," he said. "I care about Aria, and I won't let you hurt her." A wave of thankfulness washed over me, and I stepped closer, staring into Ronan's eyes. I said the word "Ronan," hardly raising my voice beyond a whisper. Before I could continue, however, Kael's eyes glowed with rage and he held out his hand, extending his claws. He growled, "You fool," his voice brimming with fury. "You'll never take her from me." Then, with his claws gleaming in the darkness, Kael threw himself at Ronan. As the two wolves collided in a frenzy of snarls and snapping teeth, I shouted, my pulse pounding with terror. However, I saw something that made my heart skip a beat as I watched. With his eyes burning with resolve and his claws gleaming in the gloom, Ronan was retaliating. He was also winning. However, Kael's eyes blazed with a ferocious determination, and he hurled himself at Ronan with a loud snarl, just as it seemed Ronan was going to win. The two wolves snarled and snapped their teeth as their bodies twisted and turned in a frenzy of conflict. Everything became dark after that. My head was hurting and I was laying on a hard, chilly floor when I woke up. A pair of hands shoved me back down as I attempted to sit up. Something said, "Easy, Aria," in a whisper. "You're safe now." When I turned around, Ronan was staring at me with a worried expression on his face. "Ronan," I said, scarcely raising my voice above a whisper. Ronan grinned, crinkling the corners of his eyes. "I'm here," he informed her. "I'll always be here to protect you." With a wave of appreciation for Ronan, I extended my hand and touched his. However, I saw something that made my heart skip a beat as I gazed into his eyes. A glimpse of secrets and unspoken realities. Furthermore, I was aware that Ronan was keeping something from me that had the potential to completely alter my life. The Proposal of Ronan My head was still hammering from what had happened the night before, so I sat up. Concern was written on Ronan's face, and I could see he was unsure of how to approach me. Ronan continued, "Aria, I need to talk to you," in a sombre and hushed voice. With my pulse pounding with excitement, I nodded. "What is it, Ronan?" Ronan inhaled deeply before he spoke. "I want to assist since I know Kael has been causing you discomfort. However, I need your assistance in return. Curious, I arched an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" Ronan's piercing stare was fixed on me. "Ariana, I would want to propose to you a contract marriage. I'll give you the strength and safety you need to defeat Kael and his supporters in return for your defence and assistance." As I took in what he had said, my heart skipped a beat. A marriage under contract? With Ronan? The idea chilled me to the bone. "What do you mean by 'contract marriage'?" Trying to speak steadily, I asked. Leaning forward
Aria's Choice I sat silently, taking in what Ryker had spoken. I was beginning to feel as if I was ensnared in a web of lies and treachery as Ronan's secrets continued to accumulate. But I was resolved to live and prosper in spite of the risk. "Thank you for telling me, Ryker," I answered firmly. "But I need to make a decision about Ronan's proposal." Ryker nodded and his face became serious. I know what you mean, Aria. But use caution. There are other people observing you besides Ronan. With my pulse pounding with excitement, I nodded. Even though I was aware of the danger, I was prepared to take whatever necessary precautions to keep myself safe. I said, "I've made my decision," in a forceful tone. "I'm going to accept Ronan's proposal." Ryker stepped back as his eyes widened in amazement. "Are you certain, Aria? Ronan is not a trustworthy guy. I nodded, becoming more determined. "I'm certain, Ryker. To safeguard myself and my future, I must take this action. Ryker nodded, h
The Start of Training The sound of Ronan's voice, brimming with excitement, roused me. "Ariana, we're starting your training today. You'll learn how to fight, protect yourself, and plan." My pulse was pounding with anticipation as I sat up. I was anxious to learn since I had always found strategy and battle to be fascinating. Ronan grinned, approbation glimmering in his eyes. "I anticipated your eagerness, Aria. You're naturally skilled at fighting." I had a rush of pride and got to my feet, staring into Ronan's eyes. "Ronan, I'm prepared to learn. Give me all of your knowledge. Ronan nodded, his face solemn. "Great job, Aria. But we have to start with the fundamentals first. Combat involves more than simply fighting; it also involves strategy and tactics. I nodded, excitement rushing through my head. I was committed to being the greatest fighter I could be, and I was prepared to learn. Ronan started teaching me the fundamentals of fighting, including how to anticipate my oppon
Introduction of Kai My gaze was locked on the shadowed figure, and I stood still. She was a tall, athletic lady with emerald eyes that seemed to pierce my soul. "Who is that?" My question was hardly audible above a whisper. Ronan grinned as his gaze met mine. "That's Kai, Aria. Beta and my brooding strategist."Kai took a step forward while maintaining eye contact with me. "Hello, Aria," she replied in a sultry, deep voice. "I've heard a lot about you." My interest was piqued, and I moved onward. I answered, "And I've heard nothing about you," in a forceful tone. She grinned, and Kai's gaze furrowed. "Ariana, I'm not into social events. However, I'm always waiting and observing." The realisation that Kai was more than simply a Beta sent a chill down my spine. He was a strategist. She was the one who guided Ronan through the convoluted realm of werewolf politics and assisted him in making judgements. "Ronan," I stated firmly. "I need further information regarding Kai. What part
The Charm of Luca My gaze was improbable on the shadowed figure, and I stood still. She was a tall, athletic lady with emerald eyes that seemed to pierce my soul. "Who is that?" My question was hardly audible above a whisper.Ronan grinned as his gaze met mine. "Your twin sister is that, Aria. The person who has been absent for a long time. Shock swept through me, and I stepped forward. "My twin sister?" I said it again, firmly. The lady moved forward while maintaining eye contact with me. "Hello, Aria," she replied in a sultry, deep voice. "I've been waiting for you."The realisation that this lady was my identical sister sent a chill down my spine. However, how could it have happened? I didn't remember her; I didn't remember being apart from her.Ronan nodded, his amused eyes glistening. "Aria, yes. Your sister and you were born apart. But you're back together now." A wave of emotion swept over me, and I stepped forward. "What happened to her?" With a forceful voice, I asked.
Dynamics of Packs As I stood in the centre of the meeting site, I was surrounded by the familiar faces of Ronan's pack members. But even with their kind smiles and greets, I couldn't shake the feeling of estrangement. Ronan nodded, his face fixed on me. "Aria, I want you to meet the rest of the pack." Ronan introduced me to the other members of the pack, and I followed him. There were Kai, his sister and strategist; Ryker, his brother and Beta; and a few others whose names I could not recall. I saw that the pack members seemed to be observing me with a combination of interest and mistrust as we traversed their area. I became aware that they were still attempting to determine my place in the group. We came to a halt at the boundary of the area, where a number of pack members were huddled around a big fire. Ronan gave a nod, and they opened up to allow us pass. Ronan added, "Aria, this is our pack's elder, Elara," and he introduced me to the lady seated in the middle of the gather
The Remorse of CassianCassian stood at the edge of the forest, staring at the faraway house. The fact that he had been watching Aria from a distance made him regret it.Why had he rejected her? Why had he let his arrogance and vanity damage something so beautiful? He remembered the way she'd looked at him, the sparkle of anticipation in her eyes. He remembered that when she had smiled, her lips had made a gentle arc. He also recalled how he had harmed her.A flood of humiliation washed over Cassian as his eyes fell to the floor. He had lost sight of what was important because he had been so consumed by his ego and persuaded of his superiority. He remembered how Aria had resisted him and persisted on the day he had first seen her. He thought about how she had altered his view of the world and made him face himself. And he knew that he had been wrong to turn her away. He was wrong to think that he was better than her and that he could find someone better. As his eyes shifted back to
Introduction "You have to learn to manage your emotions, Aria. It is not acceptable for a real Luna to display weakness. As I stood in front of my mother, who was assessing me with her piercing green eyes, I tried to maintain a straight expression. Minutes earlier, I had shed tears, and my cheeks were still damp. The weight of my parents' expectations was crippling, even at eight years old."But, Mother, what if I don't want to be a Luna?" My question was hardly audible above a whisper. My mother's face became serious. "Ariana, you'll fulfil your obligation. Our pack will be proud of you.I nodded as I felt a wave of resolve wash over me. Like my mother, I would demonstrate my value as a Luna.I grinned, excited to join my buddies as I heard laughing and playful growls coming from outside. My mother smiled back at me, her eyes softening."Ariana, go. Have a good day. But keep in mind that as you age, your obligations will only increase.I nodded, well certain that my life will be ded

EscapeMy boots thumping on the ground, I raced as quickly as I could. I knew I had to leave the group, but I had no idea where I was heading. Leave Cassian and his rejection behind. Stay away from Alpha Blackwood's perverse schemes. The trees seemed to blend as I ran. My knee was skinned on the uneven ground when I slipped and fell. But with my pulse thumping in my chest, I clambered to my feet and continued to run. After running for an unknown amount of time, I finally saw a light in the distance. With my legs hurting and my breath coming in sharp gasps, I staggered over to it.I saw a little cottage tucked away in a clearing as I came out of the woods. Warm light spilt from the windows, and smoke floated languidly from the chimney. My pulse thumping with fatigue, I staggered over to the cabin. When I got to the door, I banged on it in the hopes that someone would respond.A familiar face emerged as the door cracked open. The renegade wolf that had been observing me from the shadows
