Chapter 54. The Attack of the South River Pack

Daydreams brought Albert further and further into anxiety. Should he choose the path of living as an ordinary werewolf? What rank would he belong to if he chose to give up his Alpha power? Ah, no! Being an Alpha was his destiny. He could not mortgage his pride as an Alpha just for love. This thought killed him. "Alpha Albert!" called out one of Albert's men.

The Alpha turned and saw a servant hobbling over to him.

"What's going on?" asked Albert, who read the servant's bad vibes.

The servant stopped with a gasp.

"The herd from South River is heading this way," said the servant.

Albert turned his body fully towards the servant. Both of his eyebrows were furrowed faintly.

"How did you know they were coming?" Albert asked.

"They-" The servant stopped talking when he heard shouting in the distance.
