I couldn't help but smile as I glanced at Zoey beside me, practically bouncing with joy in her seat. We were on the road, and I was driving. The truth was, I hadn't felt this happy in a long time.

For too long, I had hidden my feelings for Zoey, but now, there was no point in hiding it any longer. She had this magical way of bringing genuine smiles back to my face – something I had forgotten how to do.
