CHAPTER ONE.
The cry of the baby echoed in the hospital's private ward. Trainor clung to her baby in tears, her clothes torn, her body badly wounded. She paced up and down the hospital ward in an effort to protect her newborn daughter from the beasts that surrounded her. When Trainor barged in with his pistol, the Alpha of the pack laughed hysterically."Please leave my family out of this." Trainor humbled himself, bringing down his pistol. "Please, I promise not to disturb you again.""Corporal Trainor!" The Alpha double hit Trainor across the face, causing him to fall. "How many of my people have you killed? How many have you kidnapped?""I will take you to the ones still alive." Trainor looked up at the alpha. "I never killed any of your people with intent. We only captured them and took them to the federal laboratory for examination, experiment.""I see, Corporal!" The alpha smiled, looking at Mrs Trainor and the newborn baby."Please don't harm us. We are innocent," Trainor pleaded faintly. "We will do anything you want.""Give me the boy!""No! Stay away from my daughter!" Trainor said, struggling up to his feet. "Leave my family out of this, take me instead.""A girl?" The alpha questioned, walking towards Trainor. "Beautiful child, now bring her to me."Mr Trainor tried to fight, but was nearly killed by the werewolves. He lay there almost lifeless, looking at the alpha, his family at their mercy. There was nothing he could do, he could see their deaths with his optical eyes."We don't have much time before the police arrive," the alpha spoke. "I forgive you, but, I'd like to give you a gift and you must accept my gift." He snatched the newborn from Mrs Trainer, and gave her bites on the neck. Trainor screamed to no avail, and only stopped when the alpha placed the newborn in her arms. She tossed the newborn, searching for wounds or marks."What did you do to my child?" Trainor cried out."She is now one of us!" The alpha smirked. "A special one at that, she will be your doom."The room dropped dead!"Now I'll see what you will do, will you kill your own daughter? Or turn her in to be used as an experiment, or will you live with a werewolf? A creature that you have lived all your life fighting and destroying?" The alpha straightened up. "You either destroy her or she will destroy you. Merry Christmas, Mr. And Trainor. Enjoy the holidays."The alpha left the ward with his pack. The room was filled with heavy, sad tears from Trainor. She clung to her baby and wept like rain."She can't stay," Mr Trainor managed to speak."Are you crazy?" Mrs Trainor crawled to Trainer, hitting him mildly. "Nothing is wrong with my child! You, them and everyone should stay away from my child." Trainor cried bitterly."I love her more but...""But what?""If she stays.. ""What will happen? You want to kill my child?""She will turn to a beast when she grows, terrorizing the country.""She won't. We will bring her up with so much love and prestige, nothing will go wrong, trust me, honey." Trainor stretched his hand and rubbed the newborn's cheeks, and flashed a smile at her. "Her name is Megan!""Megan, I love you so much," Trainor said, looking directly into Megan's eyes.***"All my life I've lived your own life!" Megan screamed at her parents. "You've been building bridges with my tears, I am tired of this madness! Tell me something, how long does this have to last?""For as long as I am alive." Mr Trainor moved closer to Megan. "Did you hear me?"Mrs Trainor held on to Trainor, sneezing his arm gently in a bid to control his temper. "She doesn't know what she's doing. She's only a child.""I am not a child, I am twenty-one, I am an adult." Megan's face burned with anger, her eyes bleary red. "If you do not let me go, I will send venom to your son.""Please don't. Josie is the only brother you've got in this world," Trainor pleaded, falling to her knees."Don't beg her." Even though he wasn't looking at Megan, Mr Trainor shot his words at her, then turned to face her almost immediately. "The threats of the dead do not move me."Megan smirked. "You're all living on borrowed time. Be careful.""Time will tell who amongst us in this house is living on borrowed time," Trainor challenged.Josie's footsteps echoed in the living room as he walked in. "Whatsup, my favourite people?" He smiled brightly, but the smile disappeared almost immediately. He scanned their faces in bewilderment.***Zain was face timing with his phone when Megan walked inside the gymnasium with her shoulder bag, blowing bubbles with the gum she was chewing. Opening her bag, she brought out her Apple speaker, and began blasting pop music. Zain didn't look up or blink an eye. Both of them never saw eye to eye. Megan was not one of his favourite people, and she didn't care. She paid him dust!Megan moved back, and with speed, jumped on the parallel bar. After a while, she fell off the parallel bar risking her left ankle. Surprised to see Jordan watching her, she stood up with a zest, pretending not to hurt."Hey, Jordan!" She couldn't mask the surprise in her tone. "I thought the academy suspended you?"Megan Trainor, twenty-one years old blonde, sassy and bitter. She was hardly in the Academy's good books. Aside from being known for her arrogance and viciousness, the only good things folks said about her were her constant wins during inter-state games."Well, I'm back. Nice to meet you again," Jordan Sparks responded with a mocking smile.Jordan gently climbed the parallel bar, dancing and displaying moves. Feeling a little sense of defeat, Megan turned to leave the hall."See you at the Olympics, Megan." Jordan made sure to scream, so it echoed in Megan's ears.Jordan Sparks, twenty-two, with her signature green hair, knew that the Olympics this year was going to take her and her family out of the trenches. No one except her spirit gave her that assurance, not even the executives of Ocean Academy.Jordan had always been the Academy's favourite and most well-behaved. Everyone knew she was the Academy's MVP this year.Megan left the gymnasium. She knew what Jordan was up to. She seemed to be successful at pretending to be the good one among both of them.Leaning on her sports car, she bent to pick up a note at the same time Coach Maleek did, and their heads bumped against each other. She gasped, as the impact of the collision ricocheted through her skull."Sorry, hope it doesn't hurt much?" Coach Maleek said, his cadences trimmed.Megan frowned. "I saw Jordan training. Coach Zain was in there and didn't say anything." She didn't look away. "I thought Jordan was suspended from the Academy?"Coach Maleek shook his head. "According to an insider and a reliable source, Dream Chasers is not playing this year. We need Jordan Sparks to represent us at the Olympics this year."Megan wasn't one to give up easily. Obviously she wasn't convinced. "She broke one of the rules of Ocean Academy. She went to a party that we were strictly warned not to attend. If the reverse was the case, I'm certain I wouldn't be given the consideration y'all gave her." The instant the words flew out of her mouth she knew she'd made a critical mistake. She could tell from the look on Coach Maleek's face that he had expected this reaction from her. But she hadn't meant to snap at him. Remorse filled her gut. Tears burned the back of her eyes. This didn't seem fair to her. In the past she had always been punished for each rule of the academy she broke. Why was Jordan's different?Coach Maleek inhaled deeply, forcing himself to look away. He put the note in his pocket and straightened up. "If you really want to pass the audition and make it to Olympics this year, then forget about Jordan and focus on training."Megan stared at him in reticence."Understood?" Coach Maleek looked Megan in the eyes, expecting an instant reply.Megan simply nodded, and with that, Coach Maleek left.Megan needed to discover who lifted Jordan's suspension, the one who was sponsoring Jordan's excesses. She looked up at the Gymnasium, sighed then entered her sports car.***"Jordan!" Mrs Sparks walked leisurely into her living room, her eyes flitting between Sparks and Jordan. "Do we have a problem?"Jordan could feel the intensity of her mother's stare as she waited for her to answer."We need money for dad's medication," Jordan finally answered."Again?" Sparks sighed. "When will this end, I take care of all the bills in this house, including our feeding, the least you and Tory can do is help out when it comes to your father's medication.""Don't sound like I don't contribute financially in this house. And Tory? Goodness, Mom! Tory is barely sixteen!" Jordan lashed out. Sparks studied her, obviously trying to gauge her feelings, but Jordan made sure her face showed neither happiness nor anger. She wasn't lying anyway. She contributed in the house financially, in her own little ways. She always outdid herself. What more could she do to please her mother? Sparks turned away and left the living room, and headed to the backyard. Her friend, Caroline, was right. Leaving was the best option."Don't worry, Dad, I'll buy your drugs tomorrow," Jordan softly said, reassuring her father. For an answer, all Sparks could do was nod his head. He felt bad for his family, especially his two kids, Jordan and Tory. Oftentimes he wondered how they felt being stuck with a blind and dumb father.A million times he'd chosen death over his current predicaments. It's been two days since he last heard Tory's voice, he wondered where he was and what he was doing."I'll go fix dinner, Dad," Jordan said, interrupting his thoughts.Jordan sauntered into the kitchen, then stood still and stared at the leaking ceiling. Her thoughts were interrupted by a call. Frowning, she picked up the call reluctantly, then spoke with an air of insouciance, "Hi, Austin, what's good?... Tonight?... Didn't you read my messages? I'm sorry I can't make it tonight, my dad...""Just order food for your dad, I'll pay." Austin's horny voice was impatient. "Don't keep me waiting, and please put on something sexy." He dropped the call.Jordan reached for the kitchen door and left. Sparks froze for an instant, her mind struggling to accept what she'd heard. She had been eavesdropping on Jordan the whole time. She touched her chin lightly. Which Austin was Jordan going out with? She wondered. Austin Quavo or Austin Bernard?***Megan jumped into her bedroom quietly through the window. She took off her jacket and tried to settle in, but before she could reach the light switch, someone turned it on and light flooded the room. Startled, she called out, "Mom?""Where are you coming from?" Trainor questioned.Megan looked into the mirrored wall, observing the tiny bruises on her face and bloodshot eyes. "I went for a walk.""Obviously," Trainor said, using her eyes to scan Megan's body. "Why is your tracksuit stained with blood? The bruises on your face, your eyes, your rough hair..." Slowly, Mrs Trainor raised her voice. "You went to see them, didn't you?""They are my family.""No," Trainor shook her head in disagreement, "we are your family.""Mom, please not tonight.""Megan Trainor, you belong here. Forget about those vampires, they'll only do you harm, Megan. I am your mother, I gave birth to you.""Firstly, I am not a vampire, they are not vampires either. Secondly, I can't wait to leave here.""Vampires, werewolves, they are all the same. The same creatures.""Once I've completed my contract I'll be gone. And then there'll be no stopping me. No reason to keep me here, no excuses." She fell on her bed, humming melodiously.***Monday morning after chores, Megan and her two friends, Aria and Tanya, drove up the main highway in Megan's sports car. Their faces basked in the yellow sun."I swear on my life, Jordan was training yesterday at the gym. I approached Coach Maleek about it, and all he could say was that I should focus on passing the audition," Megan said, her eyes focusing on the highway. "Then that other man, Zain, was just in there pretending not to see what was happening."Aria swallowed hard. "You've been with Ocean since kindergarten, Jordan only joined five years ago, your dad is an executive in the academy, there's no way Jordan will make it to the Olympics and you won't.""I don't want her to make it past the audition. Everyone seems to be talking about how good she is and under the impression that she's the shooting star of Ocean. I hate to see it. I should have that spot. I mean, that has always been my spot until Jordan happened."The more Megan thought and talked about Jordan, the sicker she felt. She knew Jordan must have traded her body to one of the executives of Ocean, in order to lift her six months suspension. She just couldn't tell who it was.Could it be Coach Bello from the other district? Coach Bello had always been the one pushing her to limelight. No, it couldn't have been him. Megan frowned as she remembered that Coach Bello was gay and hardly looked at women. She tried so hard not to cloud her thoughts with Zain. She hated him too much to even let herself think a second about him. Who the heck was he? Always masquerading around as an alpha male."Hey, I've drafted the perfect plan to end Jordan," Tanya announced excitedly, hoping to please Megan. It was expedient for her to please her.Megan was Tanya's survival plan. Growing up in the orphanage, she had always had the desire to look for her family. Family was everything to her, life to her was incomplete without blood ties. She was incomplete and Megan was the instrument for finding the wholeness she craved.Megan drove inside Spices Lounge and Cafeteria. She parked wrongly, blocking a black Jeep. Turning to face Tanya, she said, "Let's hear this plan of yours.""Let's give her a scandal. A scandal she can't afford," Tanya replied, packing her braids into two."A scandal?" Aria wearily asked. "I don't like the sound of this, babes.""I love it!" Megan exclaimed, her face brightened with a smile. "We just need to look for a perfect scandal, which I am suggesting should be a sex scandal.""It will instantly get her expelled from Ocean, and no academy will accept her," Tanya added.Megan and Tanya high-fived excitedly. The whole plan didn't sit well with Aria. Jordan didn't deserve what they were planning. She somehow wished there was something she could do to stop them or save Jordan. Ratting out her best friends was the only option, but she knew she couldn't do that to her best friends.Their thoughts were Interrupted by the sound of a black Jeep that bashed Megan's sports car. Megan stepped down from her car in rage, ready to tear apart whoever it was that scratched her sports car.CHAPTER TWO. "Dude, what is wrong with you?" Megan screamed, hitting the door of the Jeep. Aria and Tanya ran to the other door of the vehicle and banged on it."Get out of this car!" Aria let out, making attempts to remove the side mirror. Austin Quavo and Jordan stepped out of the car. "Behave yourselves, will you?" Jordan directed her next question to Megan. "Miss, who issued you a driver's license?" "I see it's you." Megan gazed at Jordan and Austin Quavo."Yes, it's me," Jordan replied. "What you gon' do?" "I'm sorry." Austin Quavo said, looking up at Megan."Sorry?" Megan wasn't prepared to let go.Not wanting to create a scene, Austin Quavo quickly pulled Jordan inside his Jeep, and in a bid to speed off, he scratched Megan's car again. As he drove off, Megan scrambled for a stone beside a flower vessel and at his car. She didn't miss the target, as the stone landed on the rear windscreen of Austin's Jeep and broke it. "Come and fight me, cowards!" She screamed angrily,
CHAPTER THREE.Coach Maleek rang the bell. The sound echoed in the multi-purpose hall while the stage lights lit the entire hall. He reached for the clip microphone, and adjusted it to sit perfectly on his T-shirt."Olivia Diego," Coach Maleek cleared his throat, then continued. "The stage is all yours." "Not so fast!" Zain interrupted, walking to take his seat beside Coach Maleek. "My apologies, but I'd like Megan Trainor to open the stage for our senior gymnasts this evening." He looked at Coach Maleek pleadingly, then fixed his gaze at the arena, searching for Megan. "Miss Trainor?" Megan frowned. Was there an end to Zain's tantrums? She whispered into Aria and Tanya's ears, "You see why I don't like this man? I'll talk to my dad to get him fired or transferred to another district, I can't deal." "Just ignore him," Aria whispered back.Tanya frowned. "He is..." "Miss Trainor your time starts now." There was finality in Zain's voice. "If you are not ready for Olympics this yea
CHAPTER FOUR."Moon goddess, why do you choose to punish me this way?" Megan murmured to herself as she walked inside the empty classroom. Zain was inside working on his MacBook. Megan looked faintly amused, and dropped her shoulder bag. So Zain could afford to wear a decent suit after all? "Good morning, Sir." Megan studied him. As far as she could see, he was only an arrogant man full of pride, and probably struggling with finances. Zain looked up at Megan. There was something about her, a lot of things about her that didn't make sense to him. He just couldn't connect the dots. "How does it feel to qualify for the Olympics?""You still can't figure out how I did it?" Megan smiled. "One second you're talking down on me and the next second you sound impressed." "I'm impressed." Zain's voice was deceptively calm, but his eyes narrowed, and darted around the room. "Jordan.." Megan's heart skipped. What about Jordan again? Zain continued studying Megan's reaction. "She shouldn't b
CHAPTER FIVE.The sounds of the chains echoed through the passages as the werewolves' prisoners were pushed out to the backyard where the annual ceremony would take place. Each year, on the day before the full moon, a ceremony would take place where the werewolves captured were experimented on by Dr. Matt. His experiment usually last till the full moon was over. Dr. Matt sat patiently, watching as the soldiers pushed all the werewolves out. ***Mrs. Sparks and Caroline sat in Sparks' living room gossiping and giggling. Mrs. Sparks stole surreptitious glances around to convince herself that no one was around. "I have filed for divorce," She whispered. "I hope I'm doing the right thing." Caroline's smile broadened. "The best decision you will ever make in life. Have your kids read it to him?" "Not yet," Mrs. Sparks answered. "It'll come in today. I feel bad for them.""Don't. They'll be fine," Caroline assured. "Jordan's a strong girl." "And Tor
CHAPTER SIX."Megan!" Trainor and his wife called out loudly, as they downstairs. "Megan!" They searched all the corners of the house without finding her. "She left," Josie said as he walked into the living room chewing an apple. "You both look serious, why are you looking for her?" "We needed her to see the psychiatrist at the rehab centre," Mrs. Trainor said. "You still want her to go to rehab?" Josie's facial expression deepened in surprise and amusement. "Tell me it's a lie." "What do you know?" Mr. Trainor snapped. "I know Megan doesn't do drugs," Josie snapped. "She's clean." "Did she tell you where she was going to?" Trainor asked. "No," Jose replied. "I didn't bother asking. I guess she's at the gym training, she's always there." "Thank you." Trainor and his wife raced out to their car and drove out."There's something they are not telling me," Josie thought out loud. "And I'll find out myself. Could it be she is truly a werewolf? But, Megan is scared of dogs, so how
CHAPTER SEVEN. The room lights went off. Megan turned around terrified, a bit terrified. Picking the gym as her hideout was her worse mistake. What was she thinking? She reached for her phone and checked the time, it was midnight on the dot. It was time to transform, alongside a human. She screamed in pain as she transformed. She wailed so much that anyone within the gym premises could easily hear her.Zain turned around in the direction of the sound. It sounded like a wolf's wailing. He quickly transformed into his wolf form. Maybe this was destiny happening and the prophecy trying to come to pass. Before he could think further, Megan jumped out of the room, and met him. They stared at each other, trying to read each other's minds. ***The wolves in Matt's large garden were howling in jubilation, and it surprised Matt and his assistant. Never had they seen them rejoice this much. Suddenly they woke up from their nap and started howlin
CHAPTER EIGHT. It was 4am. Trainor kept driving around the city, with no particular direction in mind. He was on the lookout for Megan and her kind.He jolted in the middle of the road, and halted the car abruptly. He stared at the road, there she was standing in the middle of the road, looking all clean. Her hair was in place. She didn't look messed up at all. She looked pretty good and was glowing. Megan smiled, waving at Trainor. Trainor wiped his eyes to be sure he was seeing clearly. "Megan?" He spelt out. Megan walked to his car, and knocked on the door. Trainor came down from his car immediately, breathing heavily. "What have you done?" "Nothing," Megan replied. "I had fun. By the way, my car broke down in the middle of this road, I've been stuck here for thirty minutes. Good thing you're here."Trainor stood there looking at his daughter, weak and speechless. She looked so innocent and cute. He brushed off a tear from his cheek. He grew weak. He couldn't bear to bundle hi
CHAPTER NINE. After spending the afternoon on phone calls about advertising opportunities for Ocean Academy, and catching up with Dr. Matt, Trainor leaned back in his chair, exhausted. He raised his arms over his head and stretched backwards, feeling the pull on his cramped muscles. Drumming his fingers against the desk, he buried his mind in thoughts. Just then Megan barged into his office. "Listen, Dad, you can't do that," Megan said. "No, you can't." "Get out of my office." Trainor pointed towards the door. "I will not let you mistreat mom." Trainor reminded himself that he cared about his daughter and family, and certainly didn't want to hurt their feelings, but he needed some alone time. "Do you want me to make a flashy scene?" She asked him. "I didn't create myself, neither was I born with this curse, you let it happen. It is because of you that I am the way I am! I was the tool for revenge for everything you did to them. Why wouldn't you just let them be? Why were you
CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE."I'm curious about where we are headed!" Tory said, pulling back the man that looked like their leader. "Where do you think we're going? Relax, it's a new place, the politician paid huge for this, and you will get your cut after we've completed the job," The man responded. "This place is creepy!" Tory said with a snort. "I'm not going if you don't give me the full details.""Okay, we are digging a grave tonight." "What!" Tory looked around. "Oh no, please don't involve me in digging anybody's brave. I can't do that, man." "You want money or not?" The man glared at him."No, I don't," Tory insisted. "Then turn back and leave, and make sure you seal your lips or else you know where your neck will end up." The man growled. "Now get out! I might not call you for the next job." "Man, you can't just discharge me without giving me a good tip, I took a cab here.""No tips." The man said firmly, entering a van with two other guys. They took a lonely path and sped o
CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO. "In this paper bag." Trainor dropped a sealed paper bag on Inspector Desmond"s table. "You will see a gun that belongs to Dr. Matt, legally licenced. I found the DNA of the last werewolf he murdered on it." "How can you tell it's a werewolf's DNA?" Desmond questioned. "The new team of doctors I am working with confirmed it, their DNA is different from human's." "So you are saying Matt has been discreetly killing all the werewolves in his care, for years now?" Desmond asked. "Yes. I go out there and face all sorts of dangers, just to capture these monsters alive, take them to the laboratory to see if Matt can transform them permanently to humans, but he turns around to kill them?" Trainor huffed impatiently. "He is not getting away with this." "Where is Matt?" "I locked him and his team up, in different cell rooms." "Have you interrogated his team?" "Yes." Trainor nodded. "Majority has confessed to the crime." "What does he use in killing these guys?" "H

Let me know your thoughts.Warm Regards,❤️Pinkie Alaha.CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE.Trainor stepped forward with his gun pointing at Zain!"Put the gun down, Dad!" Megan yelled, her gaze fixed on the gun. "You might hurt yourself!"Zain stood still, relaxed and unbothered. "I warned you, Megan, I knew he'd double-cross us," Zain said, feeling betrayed. Megan heard the caution in his voice and sought her own cautious words. "I needed to try.""You can't save everyone, don't let your duty fool you," he muttered. "There is nothing too special about you." Trainor returned to his car and cried like a baby. The night became even colder. Megan leaned against Zain, breathing heavily. Somehow, she managed not to cry. Her head was against Zain's broad chest, breathing in the heady scent of him. It was pure insanity, she thought, but it felt wonderful to be in his arms. "
CHAPTER TWENTY."Zain!" Avara tapped Zain's shoulders. Zain turned quickly and glared at her. She walked behind him as he stepped aside to where he parked his car."What are you doing here?" He asked, leaning against the car. He grinned lazily and gazed at her."I've been looking for you," Avara said. He was staring at her. He'd been rude to her, probably because he was thinking she thought of him as uncaring, proud and rude. He figured if he explained things to her nicely she would understand. He looked over at Charlotte standing a bit far from them. He studied the self-conscious smile she gave him."There's screening ongoing right now and I am needed over there." He pointed at the assembly, looking at Coach Maleek with pleading eyes. He figured Maleek wasn't pleased with the interruption, starting from Megan to this. "I'm sorry, but I don't think you can be my mate, I am certain there's a mistake somewhere about this." "But the Moon Goddess is never wrong," Avara uttered. "Sa
CHAPTER NINETEEN. Trainor parked his car outside the laboratory, took a deep breath, before he opened the door of the car."Wait here for me," He said to Megan."Okay," Megan nodded. "Just make sure you sprinkle that water on him." "It'll make him very powerful that no one can withstand him, then he'll escape?" Trainor said the words as if he was rehearsing them. "Yes. Don't forget to buzz me after you've sprinkled the water on him, so I can mind-link him and direct him to the woods," she instructed. "The woods still ?" Trainor asked."You thought you sealed the portal forever?" Megan scoffed. "You humans don't know what's coming your way. Anyway hurry, go save your son."Trainor suddenly developed cold feet, was he doing the right thing? He looked at the small bottle in his hand, closed his palm, shut his door, then walked inside the building. Megan sighed when she heard her phone ring and saw the caller was her mother. The phone rang repeatedly before she finally answered. "M
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN.Without warning, Megan took off at a sprint, giggling as she went. Zain followed from behind, chasing her through the trees on the Island. He could catch her easily, but what fun would that be? He dodged a few trees, and ducking around the opposite direction, he met her head-on, then tackled her to the ground. Her cheeks were flushed pink, and her smile wide and carefree. For a brief time she wasn't fighting at home with her parents, arguing at the gym or running from the rogues. She had a feeling the Island will bring her the happiness she had yearned for all her life. They both lay on their backs, staring at the sky. The silence that followed didn't feel awkward, it was rather appreciated by both. From the look on their faces, they were both enjoying the serenity the Island brought. "I am the CEO of Ocean Academy," Zain broke the silence. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." He shot her an apologetic glance. Megan smiled. "The fact that you apologized makes u
CHAPTER SEVENTEEN.Jordan was anxious to hear what Coach Maleek had to say after he had a long private discussion with Megan, and had probably made several calls to the CEO or other executives of Ocean. She was grateful to Megan for standing up for her. Coach Maleek walked up to her and extended a hand. "Congratulations, you're back on the team to attend the Olympics," Coach Maleek said. Before he walked to the stage to address his students, Jordan quickly grasped his hand for a quick handshake. "Thank you, Coach!" She said aloud as he walked to the stage.Coach Maleek addressed his students, informing them of the newest development. The girls cheered and brightened up, except Megan and her friends. From behind her back, Aria rolled her eyes and shot Jordan a warning glance.Coach Maleek ignoring their noise, swung his bag over his shoulder, and strode out of the classroom with Zain. Jordan rushed to meet Megan immediately she saw that she was alone. She had every reason to be gra
CHAPTER SIXTEEN.Mateo led the rogues back to their hideout in the woods. They destroyed quite a number of properties and killed a few humans, the ones that were unfortunate. The police tried their best, but not one of the rogues was hurt. They managed the situation well, trying to reassure the individuals all was fine, and that there was no cause for alarm. This time people were not falling for lies. Everyone knew they were wolves on loose, attacking the city.Megan didn't return him that night. The next morning she stood in her father's living room, being interrogated. She had never seen her father so furious, so dark. There was something in his eyes, something that was akin to hatred. Her mother, on the other hand, was calm and collected. "Where were you last night?" Her mother questioned. "Out destroying the city?" "They killed five people last night! Five!" Trainor jumped to his feet in frustration. "You are evil and wicked. You don't deserve to be alive." "I didn't do anyt
CHAPTER FIFTEEN. It was a bloody night. Zain Adolphus had spent nights in the woods, waging war against the rogues. He invaded their town and ripped apart each one of them he came across. The rogues could not stand the war he waged single handedly. There was blood in his eyes. He howled angrily at the universe. Looking around him, he discovered all the rogues in that town were dead. The surviving ones fled town. "Moon goddess!!" Zain yelled, slapping his cheeks hard that his hands burned. "She cannot be my mate, I reject her. She is too weak, I cannot and will never marry her. You have to do something about this." He looked at the skies and continued lamenting. "I deserve a brave and strong warrior as a mate. Someone I can rule the world with, someone passionate about conquering the world, not a mate passionate about having a human salon where she'll be licking their ass." He turned to the other side and yelled. "You have to change my mate! My Luna must be brave and strong."
