Eighty four

Jake's sudden intrusion disrupted the heated kiss between Lucian and Jane. They pulled apart and stared at each other lovingly then suddenly, it was as though an alarm went off in Lucian's head and he staggered back with an expression that looked like he didn't believe what he had just done.

"What's wrong?" Jane asked worriedly and attempted to approach him.

"Stop!" He warned and moved backwards. "Don't come closer."

"What's going on with you?" Jane asked, not understanding what was happening. Weren't they just making out few seconds ago? Why the did he act like she had a deadly disease or was the kiss horrible? Did her breath smell?

"All this," He raised his hands and pointed at her and then at himself. "All of this, is a mistake."

"Huh?" Jane asked shockingly. She hoped she heard wrongly.

"The kiss was nothing." Jake said. "We're two mature adults and the atmosphere was steamy so we kissed. It means nothing so forget about it."
