I drunk myself to sleep that day and woke up later in the evening. I would tell my parents about Melisa’s pregnancy when we were sure it was mine. I looked around my room and saw all the bags I had packed for college disappointedly. I was disappointed in myself for being reckless and not being able to go to college. I would let them stay packed till we went to the doctors which would be soon. I went around the house lazily wondering what I was going to do with my life. I reached the kitchen and opened the fridge. I knew that my nanny had been here sometime in the day when I was asleep.

Whenever she was here, she always cooked some food and left it for me in the fridge. She knew that I wouldn’t cook to save a life. She had been cooking for me my whole life and never allowed me in the kitchen when she was cooking.  I found some chicken and some lasagna which I reheated and had for super. After I was done eating, I went to the game room which was in the basement

We entered a room with a bed and some screens which I didn’t know what they were used for. The nurse who had led us to the room told Melisa to lay on the bed and wait for the doctor to come. After a few minutes a middle aged lady walked in and introduced herself as Doctor Adrian. She told us the she was going to be Melisa’s doctor all through her pregnancy. She checked the board she was holding then looked at us. I looked at her with brows raised wondering what she was thinking. She then asked us whether we really need a paternity test done.I was about to ask her whether it was a problem when she explained that the tests should not be done in early stages of pregnancy since it could harm the baby. She also said that it was not always the case but it was a possibility. I told her to proceed with the test to which she just nodded her head. Most people would think that I did not care about the baby’s safety when making that decision but I really needed t

After playing some video games, Derek suggested that we should go out to a party before all hell broke loose. I agreed with him on that. I had to have fun before the results came out determining whether I was going to be a father or not. I lend him some of my clothes so that he would not waste time going back to his house to get changed. I told him to use one of the guest rooms to get ready. In no time we were headed to the party in my Overfinch truck. We partied and danced around with random girls until late in the night. I was wasted completely but Derek had control his drinking. I guess he knew that I needed that party since it could be my last one in a while. I gave him the keys to the truck and he drove us back to my house. He dragged me to my bedroom and laid me on the bed and I passed out in no time. I woke up the next day with a killer headache. The sun seemed brighter than usual and it made my headache even worse. I grabbed the remote on the night stand and shut the

“Melisa….where are you? Come out from whatever place you are hiding at because I am gonna find you,” I called out angrily the following morning, knocking on her front door impatiently. I was not one to entertain drama in my life but I just could not let what Melisa had done get past me. I did not care if her parents were home I just had to confront her. What she had done could have ruined my life if I had not thought of doing the tests by myself. The front door was opened by her mom with a confused yet scowling expression. Even back when we were dating, her parents did not approve of my and Melisa’s relationship. I did not take it personally since I knew what my reputation was like around town. Not to that I was proud but people always judged and made opinions about everything. I admit to dating and sleeping around with some few girls from school but most of them made up stories just to get noticed around school. “Why are you looking for my daughter, what do you want

“Mr. Anderson…..Josh uhm hello? Dude what has got you in so much deep thoughts?” I heard my driver and personal bodyguard Sean ask. I looked down at my watch and realized just how late it was. I had been thinking about the past for more than an hour. I didn’t even remember when my personal assistant left. All I remember was her telling me that she was done for the day. I realized that since I had met Kira recently, all I could think about was her. I could not seem to get her out of my mind which was not a good thing. This was bad. This was really bad because I knew my feelings for her were growing stronger. This was not going to end well because I believed that from what had happened in the past, she would be a fool to fall in love with me. “Dude you’ve been spacing out a lot nowadays what is happening to you. What’s on your mind?” Sean asks with a worried expression on his face. I had known Sean for a while now and despite working, for me we were pretty clos

The ride home was quiet and the only sound that could be heard was from the roaring of my car. I had been so distracted by memories from the past lately, that by the end of the day my mind and body was tired. It did not take long to get home since it was pretty late in the night and most people had already retired to the comfort of their homes. I tried convincing Sean to spend the night at my place but just like any other time I had asked, he declined my offer. He always said he had to get home to someone and only a few of us knew who that person was.Sean had been engaged to Clara back in our college days and when we got to our junior year, they got married. KIRA’S POV I was sitting in my office preparing myself for a meeting with one of my clients. I’ve got to admit being a CEO and having so many people depending on every decision you make was tiresome and stressful. Yeah you heard right, I am the CEO of House of Alexa. It’s a multi-million fashion company that has branches all around the globe. I studied my first degree in Business Management at MSU then later on did my MBA at Harvard. Most people wonder how I’d managed to pull that off at such a young age. Well that’s thanks to my photogenic mind that I inherited from my dad. I had the ability to grasp content with so much ease and not forget. I can say that it was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that I had much easier time with my studies and a curse in hat I never forgot anything I had come across in life. I have one little sister who so happens to be my world. I could do anything for that little girl just to see her pretty

After high school I had highest GPA from the school and therefore I earned myself a full ride scholarship to Michigan States University where I studied business management. My college time was much easier and I made a few friends. There was this one guy who forced himself in my life despite me trying to push him away. Dylan fought hard to become friends with me seeing to it as I didn’t have any close friends and I was alone most of the time. He made me get coffees with him at the café around college and smiled and waved every time he saw me. Other than Dylan my life in campus was pretty much boring. After graduating, I later secured myself another scholarship to Harvard since I was the best student in college. I took my MBA at Harvard and still managed to finish school at 23. Due to my passion for drawing and fashion I decided to start a fashion company mainly to help girls who had issues with their looks and self-esteem. My main aim was to help boost the confidence of girls

One week later on a weekend, I was woken by continuous ringing of the front door. I did not expect anyone and I had given my nanny some time off. The only people I thought were at the door would be my parents. I threw on some sweatpants and headed downstairs grumpily. I opened the door with a bored look on my face wondering who was disturbing my peace.Upon opening the door, I saw Melisa with a distraught look on her face. Her make-up was smudged with strips of black mascara running down her face. I looked at her with a slightly worried expression wondering what to do. I was the worst in comforting girls especially crying ones. The only thing I was good at was lying to them just to bed them. She had not said a word since I opened the door. I opened it wider for her to come in and calm down. Maybe then she would tell me what was wrong with her.I however did not expect the reaction I got next from her. She wrapped her arms around me and began sobbing loudly. This made m

My day was quite tiresome as I finished some work at the office. I dealt with a few clients and attended meetings which was quite tiresome but that did not wipe the goofy smile off my face. I could not get Kira out of my mind and had to be startled when I was asked about my thoughts on the presentation. Most of the people in the meetings had annoyed looks on their faces but even that did not dull my brightness. After all I was the boss at the end of the day. I did not realize that the day had ended and most people gone home until my PA came in to tell me that she was leaving. She was a tall model-like blonde could be described as beautiful. Sometimes I even wondered why she never became a model or a hostess because she had all it took. She had always tried to get my attention like every other lady I had an encounter with. She wore short skimpy that hang tightly onto her body and always left a few buttons on her shirts undone. I had tried countless times to tell her to dress

Everyone in school knew that Melisa, the school most popular girl was once friends with Kira. I did not know what happened between them but in high school, they could not stand one another’s sight. I decided to make Melisa my girlfriend so that I would try pushing back my feelings for Kira. I stood and watched as my girlfriend and friends bullied and humiliated her. I would join in sometimes in the humiliation but seeing her in pain made my heart ache. I endured the heartache thinking that it was the only way to make her hate me.My parents were rich people whose only goal in life is to earn some more wealth. Every friend they made had to be beneficial in some way or had something to offer. They spent most of the time travelling around the world and doing business. I was always alone at home with the workers. My mother did not raise me herself since she was busy following my father around to business deals. My nanny raised me and took care of me and made decision on my
