Alexa's POV

I did not reply her right away which made her bit her lip before saying, “Alpha, I'm sorry about what I did before. But I did it for you.”

I still did not reply.

“Anyway, I'm sorry and I've come to apologize for what I did. I hope you will find it in your heart to forgive me. I know what you meant now. This pack is supposed to move forward in the collective's interest but I went after my own interest when I decided to take matters into my own hands.”

“That's true.” I said.

“I apologize.”

The moment Zaria North said that, I placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled. “It's okay, you're in the right place. I forgive you. I just hope something like that never happens again, it's in the interest of the pack.” I said.

Zaria North ran over and embraced me tightly.

I leaned into the hug for a bit before moving away from the hug. Let's just say I didn't really feel comfortable about the hug.

“Nothing of this sorts will ever happen again, I promise.” She said.

“Then it's fine.” I sai

Alexa's POV“Alpha, we have a new eyewitness.” I was in my office daydreaming when the door suddenly snatched open and Zaria North opened it wide open causing me to feel stunted in my thoughts.“What is going on?” I said feeling annoyed that my privacy would be stunted just like that. “And why didn't you knock?”“An eyewitness just spotted the Shadow Wolves. They are getting way closer to our border than anticipated.” I got up from my seat, feeling pressured.“Have you put up the statement of earlier on the notice board? Please do so, don't let people get into the woods anyhow you feel like it, it's dangerous.” I said loudly. Then I sighed, not knowing what to do. But for some reason, I'd have enough of the shadow Wolves. Who were they exactly and what did they want?“I just did, Alpha.. what else should I do?”“Bring in the new eye witness that you just found, I'd like to hear from her if possible.”“It's a him, Alpha.” She said causing me to nod. “Bring him in.”She went out and th

Alexa's POV “Alpha, we just got a tip off from the tracker near the woods. He mentioned that Alpha Nathan of Moonglade is here and he's leading the Alpha here.”My mood lightened when I heard that.“Oh great, please bring him in once he's here.”“I will,” The guard told me and I nodded. The door opened and Zaria North stepped in. “Alpha, I have news for you.”“Speak,” I said.“Alpha Nathan is here.”“I know, the guard here just told me. Good of you to tell me though,” I said while attempting to hide my smile. Alpha Nathan was here after many weeks of me being away from his pack. I couldn't wait to see him again. Although, I saw him as an Alpha when I worked as his nurse, now I could see him as a partner because we did the same thing. We were both literally Alphas.“Should I bring him here?” Zaria North asked.“Sure, please bring him here, thank you.” I said.“I will,” Zaria North said and stepped out along with the guard.I got up from my chair, pacing front and back because I didn't

Alexa's POVI guessed Alpha Nate noticed Martha's gaze on his face as well and he didn't like that. But he didn't have to call her out the way that he did, it was nothing bad for Martha to find him attractive if he was clearly attractive.“Thank you for the tea,” Alpha Nate said as he took a sip causing me to nod and smile.“It's okay.”“Have you had anything in a while? You look a bit tired.”“Oh, it's nothing. I've just had to lock in on my responsibilities as Alpha if you know what I mean.”“I got you something,” Alpha Nate said, unzipping his jacket and opening it revealing a waist pouch that was flat but durable.“Whoa,” I said as he unlocked it from his sides and handed me the pouch.I collected it and unzipped the pouch revealing a small bottle containing a pink potion. I opened it and smelt it. It had a faint ginger scent on it. This reminded me of Nora so I feigned disgust and closed the bottle.“This smells disgusting, what is it for?” “Oh, well, recently, I've been trainin

Alexa's POV“Anyway, we're both here and the reason I bdought you here is to accompany me. However, If you refuse. I don't mind going to check it out by myself, after all, these people are after me.” I said causing Alpha Nate to look at me with a sigh.“If only you weren't too sturbbon—” he interupted himself halfway.I pretended to not ear. “What was that?” I asked.“Well… it's just… nevermind.” Alpha Nate looked all fluttered while I didn't care. I looked further into the woods and then I proceeded to go in with Nate following after me.“Where are these bastards?” I asked out loud as I walked further deep into the woods but I didn't see any sign of them yet.“Maybe they're somewhere else,” Alpha Nate offered causing me to keep quiet.“Did I say something wrong?” He asked.“You seem to have forgotten one important thing.”“And what is that?” Alpha Nate asked.“This is my territory.” I said, “I know we're on the right track.”He chuckled at me. “You've gotten a bit feisty since the la

Nora's POVI was sitting at the border of the woods with the werewolves that Alpha Nathan stationed me with. I couldn't help but feel excited as I waited for the good news. Very soon, Alexa's head would be chopped off for good. This was good news to me. I couldn't wait to be the only witch by Alpha Nathan's side. Eventually, he'd have to put up with me.However, just as I was thinking these things. A werewolf in its wolf form ran up to me, looking battered and beaten. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed at the sight.“Ugh!” I was itching to say something nasty but I held back.“Hey, why do you look so… battered?” The Werewolf shifted into his human form causing him to be bare naked.“Gross,” I grabbed the little cloth under my sitting chair and tossed it at him causing him to catch it and wrap it around his waist.“Now you can speak,” I said causing the werewolf to look at me with a saddened look on his face.I looked behind him, waiting for the other two werewolves Nathan put me in

Alexa's POVAfter meeting up with Zaria North, I asked her to take Alpha Nate to his room.“I can't believe that we're to be separated at this time. I would love to talk to you more.” Alpha Nate said causing me to roll my eyes at him.“It's been a long day, you need your rest. I promise you.”He nodded hesitantly before walking off with Zaria North.I sighed and relaxed a bit, this was fine… I guess. Then I walked to the living room only to see my parents talking to each other. They were both dressed in cultural appropriate outfits. “Mom! Father!” I called out to them causing their attention to be glued to me. “Oh, dear. You look… sophisticated. Could you tell us how you're doing?” Mother said as I walked towards them.“I'm doing… Okay. Would you like an update on what's going on with the pack?” I asked.“No dear, that's your responsibility now, I don't think we should but in.” Father said causing me to laugh. “Why do you seem as though you're not interested in leadership anymore aft

Nora's POV I sensed a strong energy emitting from the woods. I closed my eyes and my third eye was active. I saw her. Alexa. She grabbed a bit of blood from the dead werewolf and sat on the floor cross-legged. I felt insecure instantly as the wind blew all around her. How the hell did she learn blood magic? If she focused on the blood long enough she would be able to find out details about the dead werewolf. As much as I hated to admit it, Alexa was a smart girl. It was only a matter of time before she found out what Alpha Nate's intention towards her really was. I guess this must have been the reason Alpha Nate protected her, it was so she wouldn't find out about his plans early and then ruin it. If I knew, I shouldn't have assumed wrongly about him. This girl was a bitch, I couldn't wait to get rid of her. As I watched her, I could tell she was getting details about that werewolf so I placed a hand forward and began to interfere with her senses via the wind so she couldn't get anym

The moment I was in my room, I stripped off my clothes and went into the bathroom immediately. I turned on the shower and stayed under it as the refreshing water hit my skin.“Oh this is so relaxing,” I murmured under my breath as the cold water hit my body.I washed my body with a posh soap and rinsed under the shower. Then I stayed there for as long as i needed. Once I was done, I began to dress myself up in a clothing that was comfortable for stretching and exercising. Today, I had intentions for training. I didn't care how long it took, I was willing to take that risk.I heard a knock on the door.“Come in,” I said and the door opened revealing Martha.“Alpha,” she bowed to me. “I have come to help you bath and change.”“From now on, you will do no such thing.” I said. In recent days, I wanted to keep busy and someone like Martha would only get in the way. Sometimes, too many people around you broke focus. That was exactly what I was avoiding.“But why not Alpha?” Martha asked, lo

Alexa's POV “It doesn't matter what I think, Alexa. You're the one born with the gift that's why I want you to please work together with me. We can take over the world and no one would ever be able to stop us. You are a star Witch.”“You're my brother,” I said, still in shock as that was true. I had found that out but myself.“Call me Edward,” he said causing my jaw to drop.“What?”“My name is Edward.”“Well Edward I don't know what to do concerning you. You are my brother?! That's crazy. My parents, I mean, our parents never told me that they gave birth to a boy.”“That's probably because they didn't want you to be any sadder If they told you that your twin brother is missing.”“Twin brother?” I said, feeling shocked a second time.“We're twins?!” I asked.“Yes,” he nodded, “And stop acting so surprised everytime, it's annoying.”“I see.” I answered, but then I said, “We're really siblings. That is amazing. And not amazing at the same time. If you knew that we were related all this

Alexa's POV“I don't know what to believe.” I said.“I'll leave you to it.” He said and turned around to leave. It was then that I remembered what exactly that I came here for. I couldn't let the death of the white wolf be in vain. Also, Zaria was dead. And there was nothing that I could do to ever bring her back. So now my focus should be on my pack, Deep into the woods and how to make it prosperous again without any interference from the shadow Wolves.“Wait,” I said causing the Shadow Wolves leader to halt in his steps.“What?” He asked before looking at me.“If you don't have any magic then how come you don't react to my magic?” I asked.“Oh,” he turned to me. “Ever since I was little, I always carry a little pendant with me which makes me immune to magic. I don't know who gave it to me but somehow it always works and protects me when I'm in danger. It's like a little pocket charm.” He said. “By the way,” I said, “I want to you to stop attacking Deep into the woods.” “And what w

Alexa's POVI raised a hand up in the air in surrender. “I'm not here to hurt anyone, I am here to talk to your leader.” I said, causing the werewolves to look amongst each other.“Who are you, fools?” One of the werewolves yelled out loud.I said at the top of my lungs, “I am the Alpha of Deep into the woods and I have come here to see your leader,” I said out loud causing the werewolves to look amongst each other.I continued, “I know that you are the Shadow Wolves and that you have beef with my pack but regardless of all of your trespasses. I have come here to announce a truce with your leader.”One of the Shadow Wolves scoffed, “Attack!”They all sped towards me and I stretched my hands forth causing magic to explode out of me causing them to all fall back to this ground with blood gushing out of their mouths. They were all dead.I looked to the while wolf beside me and it howled. I stepped over the dead bodies and continued to walk ahead over to see more shadow Wolves rushing tow

Alexa's POVPhillip looked nervous so I whispered unto him, “Raise up your head. This moment will determine how long you will be respected by everyone.”He did as I said and raised his head up. I focused my gaze on the crowd. “Everyone, I would like you to put a hand together for Phillip North. He put his life as risk to find out the truth that Alpha Nate was with the enemy. Because of him we know who our enemies are and who our friends are.” I said and they all applauded him.“I would also like to announce to you all that Phillip would be the Beta of Deep into the woods, I hope you all listen to him as well as you listen to me.” I said. There was a little bit of hesitation amongst the crowd. After all, most of them were aware of what had happened in the pack with Zaria North. However, some clapped and I instantly knew that Phillip would have some problem controlling the people and ruling them but I also knew that he would have to prove himself. Only then would he be accepted.“Every

Alexa's POV I was in my office working but then I summoned Martha and asked her to call me Phillip. She went on to carry my request and a few minutes later, Phillip was in my office.“You called me, Alpha?” He said with caution.“Yes, I did.” I said before gesturing for him to sit down. He did as I urged with his eyes widened in anticipation for what I would say next.“What's the problem?” He asked.“I choose today to officially make you my beta.”“But why what's the hurry?”“I just thought about it and to be frank with you, I don't like how everything in my pack is moving so I decided that I would go to meet the leader of the shadow Wolves. That's the only way that the pack would ever make progress. I'm tired of people dying on me.”“Alpha, that is dangerous. Is there anyone else you've spoken about this to?”“Just you, Phillip.”Phillip cleared his throat, “How is the baby doing?”“Good. But the most important thing here isn't me or the baby. It's the pack. I was entrusted Deep int

Alexa's POVI shuddered, feeling as though there was something wrong in the moment. How could Arthur say that. After all he said about Zaria North?I stood up from the chair.“Arthur, you said Zaria killed your son and now you're saying you don't think she killed your son?” I said, feeling absolutely disgusted by what Arthur was saying.“Now that Zaria is dead you're changing your mind?”“It's exactly because she's dead that I think she didn't kill my son. How could she do that and kill herself, it doesn't make sense at all to me!”“What makes sense then Arthur, tell me?”“I think Zaria was controlled before she died. One of the warriors told me that she died during the war but she was brought back to life. I didn't believe him but now that she's dead, I think he might be onto something.”“She told me something similar before she died but I…” I trailed off, while thinking deeply. “I don't know.” I said while exhaling. I sat back down on my chair and said to Arthur, “Can you please cal

Alexa's POVI had a great time talking with my father but I had to get involved in some other responsibilities so I went to Phillip in the clinic where he was in and in his room I saw the nurse attending to him. I sat down in my chair until the nurse was done.Once she left, I turned to Phillip and he smiled. “I'm healing quite fast, Alpha, so you don't have to worry.”“I see.” I said, then it was the perfect time for me to break the news forth to him then.I sighed, feeling tears threaten to fall but I gathered myself. I was the Alpha of Deep into the woods, I could not falter, I was the Alpha so I had to be strong even though nobody else was.“I have to tell you something, Phillip.”“Oh, what is it? Alpha?”“Your sister, Zaria North is dead.”He looked at me, disbelief crossing his expressions. “That's a lie. What?”“It's true.” I said, nodding frankly.Phillip's eyes because red at once. Alexa's POVWhen I left the prison, I went straight to my room and got under the covers but I couldn't sleep. I felt as though something was wrong. With much inner battle within myself, I took a step to drink some milk and then I finally slept off…When I woke up the next morning, I went refreshed more than ever but a tiny urge sat there for me to remain under the covers but I resisted the urge. So I took a shower and got dressed in my normal clothes then I went to my office and Martha had already replaced my files. I didn't know what to do. I still hadn't thought of what to do with Alpha Nate. He'd betrayed me of course but his betrayal made no sense to me. Unless he knew about my powers and tried to use me to fulfill his own selfish motives. However, I wouldn't know because I didn't even get to ask him. But with the rate at which things were accelerating, if I didn't put a quick stop to what was going on with the Shadow Wolves things could get worse and more people could betray. Who

Alexa's POVShe stood up from the floor she was sitting on and looked at me with tears cascading down her cheeks.“You wouldn't understand,” she sobbed, “I didn't know.”I shook my head at her. “Alpha Nate is in collision with the Shadow Wolves too. What do you know about that?” I asked. She shook her head at that agressively. “Nothing I swear!”“Tell me everything you know, Zaria. Did you decide to betray me because I didn't give you everything you wanted? Instead I chased you out of the pack to represent the shadow Wolves. Did you regret being affiliated with Deep into the woods so you met with their leader instead and did his dirty deeds so he could let you go?” I asked with my eyes glowing with tears. But I stubbornly wiped the tears. There was no way I would cry because of Zaria. She wasn't worthy of my tears.Zaria suddenly stumbled back in the prison cell and her eyes widened. She clenched onto the side of her top and said, ”I remember now.”My eyes widened.“Tell me,” I said.
