Chapter 281

Richard woke up as early as 5:am. He barely slept all through the night. Apparently, that has been the situation ever since he had the press conference that involved Emily.

He picked up his phone the moment he stood from the bed, dialing it abruptly and placing it to his ears.

“Doctor, I would be on my way with him shortly. I want it to be as discreet as possible. You would also provide the results to me as fast and discreet as you can!” Richard said into the phone, after which he nodded his head to whatever was said to him from the other end of the call.

“You’re the doctor I’ve known for a long time. I’m trusting you on this”, he said in conclusion, after which he ended the call and let out a deep sigh.

Right there on the other side of the door, Barbara stood with her ears on the door. She had heard some movement from her room, and somehow suspected that Richard was up to something.
