Chapter 240

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry”, Emily apologized for the hundredth time after bumping into a stranger. She was rushing and each minute that passed made her chance of meeting her child tinier.

“Are you blind? Don’t you watch where you go to?” An elderly woman asked, almost at the verge of slapping Emily.

Emily wore a massive scowl on her face as she apologized and, finally, entered the boutique that stood before her. If she needed to be at the party, then she had to look like it.

“How much would this cost?” She asked the receptionist, who had a bright smile on her face.

“A thousand dollars”, she replied and made to pull out the dress.

Emily drifted off in thoughts for a minute. The party would definitely be one of extreme class and people. If she would rather not be an object of suspicion, she needed to dress like one of them.

The money Brian had given to her was remaining about two thousand dollars and if she failed to get into the mansion today, she would be left stranded on the street.
