Emily paid the cab driver and got off the car. She was at a park she usually visited before she got a job as a maid.

A smile curved on her lips as she took slow steps closer to the entrance.

The park used to be her favorite, and it was one she always visited whenever she was having the toughest of times in her lives.

It had a small river and that was her major location at the moment.

All she wanted to do was dip her legs into the water and close her eyes in relief.

She got into the park and ran towards the river, giggling excitedly and pulling off her sandals.

The moment she had her legs in the water, she heard a voice that startled her from behind.

“The billionaire’s maid shouldn’t be running around town like a free bird!”

“What the hell!” Emily thought as she swirled around to discover where the voice had come from.

It came from Mike.

Emily sighed in relief and rolled her eyes at him. She had met him only once when she just started working for Richard.
