"I tried to convince him during lunch yesterday," Hayley explained as she sat beside Leonardo on her sofa at home. His gaze on her was unwavering as he listened intently. "I had this whole lunch date set up, hoping for a positive outcome. I tried, Leonardo. But it was all in vain. He refused to back down. He insisted he wouldn't give up on me." Hayley said, a frown marring her face as she recalled Adrian's words.

Leonardo exhaled softly as he listened to her recount about her date with Adrian. He couldn't help but question why the man was so determined to pursue his wife. For fuck sake, there were many other ladies out there. And on top of that, Hayley had already spelled it out for him that she didn't want him neither was she interested in being in a relationship with him. But Adrian just wouldn't accept that, would he? Leonardo sighed again as he reasoned. Could he really blame Adrian though? After all, he too had also been persistent in the pursuit of Hayley's affection again, so..
