About what seemed like half an hour later, Leonardo and Hayley eventually returned inside the house, with Hayley still crying silently and profusely. Pangs of guilt tugged at her heartstrings, eliciting more tears from her eyes and making it more difficult for her to forgive herself for what she had done.
