My heart was pounding in my chest as I watched Naya being pulled away from me by Kael. I wanted to fight back, but they showed me the gun, and I knew they would shoot me or her if I resisted.

I was scared to lose her, scared for the first time in my life. I couldn't bear the thought of living without her. I didn’t know how it got to the extent of me not wanting to live without her.

I used to hate her. I hated every single thing she did. Nothing she did impressed me. Everything seemed to be falling apart the moment I began to develop some sort of feelings for her.

"What do you want from us?" I asked, my voice shaking with fear.Kael didn't answer. Instead, he pulled Naya closer to him, his grip tightening around her arm.I ranted angrily at Kael, "Let her go or I'll kill you!"Kael just chuckled, "You don't have the guts to do that. You’re powerless right now.
