*Sola*

He left. He finally left. I groaned as I slid into the floor, wallowing in the self pity that was taking over me. Alex. Alex was not mine. He would never be mine.

"Sola?" Amina whispered as she reached me.

I quickly turned backwards and tried as much as possible to clean the tears that had flown down my face.

"Is my baby asleep yet?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"No. He said he will wait for his mom and dad to come out him to sleep." Amina whispered in a silent, sad voice.

I tried to gulp as the horrible feeling washed through me. I stared at Amina and realized that she must have known that I had finally sent Alex away.

"It's okay, love. You can let it all out. I'm right here with you." She mumbled as she moved in

*Sola*SCORE ONE for state-run hospitals, was all I could think of as we arrived. Kalu kept trying to calm down his heavily pregnant wife as she walked around impatiently. We were still standing at the reception, waiting for the nurse to admit our identity and take us to where Alex and his friend, Ekene was. Fayo had also spoken to their mom and dad a few minutes ago...And they'd said they would be there first thing in the morning. I hadn't been able to calm my nerves at the thought of meeting with Alex's parents for the first time. Fayo noticed too. "Don't worry, Sola. My parents are unproblematic people. They won't give you issues as long as you don't give them." "But.. But Fayo... They'll blame me! I'm the cause of all this. If I hadn't stupidly told him to get out...""Just calm down, Sola. Mistakes happen. I just hope

There was an insistent pounding in my head. And I couldn't stop it. Everywhere was so bright, yet so dark. I tried to speak, but realized I couldn't find my voice. Everything was so frustrating. Am I dead? Then I heard that soft, tiny voice. It swept into my head like a breath of fresh air, making my body relax instantly. It was like the voice controlled my mind."I love you Alex! I'm so sorry!" The voice whispered so softly that it was like a haze through my mind.I knew who it was even as my mind was scattered and confused.Sola.I would recognize her sweet, angelic voice anywhere. *Sola* I bit my lower lip in mortification as Mrs Williams gasped with shock and turned to stare at me, sizzling me up and down. Alex had just insensitively told them about Justin."Did you say... Son?" Mrs Williams asked, staring back at her son with disbelief."Yes, mom. Three years ago, Sola gave birth to a boy named Justin. And I'm his father." Alex explained unapologetically. Mr Williams came to stand beside his wife and placed his arms around her stiff shoulders. "Now, calm down Elizabeth. Don't forget about your high blood pressure." he said in a soothing voice. "How can I calm down?! Our son has a son and we don't even know. We have a grandson, AJ!" Mrs Williams said to her husband. She looked like she might explode. If not for Alex that was still holding me so tightly, I would have jumped out of the room through the nearby window.

His curly hair was sleek and pressed down in his hair, making him look so boyish and adorable. Alex. My love. Before I could find any words to mutter, he leaned into me, hovering over as he crashed his strong lips onto mine, keeping his body weight from pressing me down into the soft bed. I felt his lips trail down my neck in a soft whisper. I moaned lightly as I felt the fire deep in body begin to ignite. The light in the room was dim, and the temperature was somewhat cold, but the heat that was gathered in between us was so hot that my body produced goosebumps from it."

SECOND EPILOGUE Four months later... My water just broke. I was behind the desk, sitting close to my husband in his office. We were in the middle of an interview with one of the investors of my newly opened company, SHADE COSMETICS AND CLOTHING BRAND. I dedicated the name to my late mother, as I've always wished to. Alex had been so supportive for the past few months as he made sure my dreams were made to reality. We were still deliberating on the location and brand style with our investors when I noticed the moisture between my legs. I was very confused at first because I didn't feel any pain. Then I felt it happen. It wasn't really painful, it was more like an urge to use the toilet. But I knew what it was. The baby is coming!. *Sola* "What..." I trailed off. Aunty Elizabeth's face broke as she began to sob. I pulled her in, trying to comfort her. I couldn't stand seeing her in pain and grief like this. "Uncle Paul.... Why is she crying like this? What's wrong Aunty Liz?" I asked in a confused voice as she kept crying and trembling in my arms. I patted and rubbed her back. My own tears were resurfacing again. Ooooh, please stop this! I didn't want to cry again."Take this," Aunty Liz handed over a rough paper to me. "Clara wrote a letter. And it's specifically for only you to read. Take it." I collected the paper reluctantly. Where was Clara for goodness sake! Was she in prison? What's wrong? I opened the paper. My breath caught as I scanned Clara's writing. That beautiful straight writing. Just perfect. Like Clara. I began to read.

Listen to the doctor first..." Amina said on my other hand, her eyes were teary, but she didn't look like someone that had just lost her friend. I shook my head in pity. She probably also didn't believe that Sola was truly dead. She was gone. "Amina... Sola.. She's..." I whimpered. Unable to finish my sentence. The doctor was still standing there, watching the scene that was unfolding. Kene grabbed my shoulders from
