Chapter 62

Ashley's POV

It was almost Dawn when Regan stirred awake. My heart skipped as he turned around to look at me.

I cringed as he looked at me. Shifting my gaze from him, I quickly bowed my head and I said my greetings, "Good morning, my Prince,"

He looked at me intensely and looked away. Without saying a word, he leapt into his wheelchair and rode away like I didn't exist.

I sighed in relief, I never knew I was so tense until he exited. Sighing loudly, I laid back to sleep.

All that happened since I arrived at the palace flashed through my head and I felt sorry for myself.

Thinking about the Prince's actions left me dumbfounded. I did not know where to place him. He was so unpredictable.

Again I remembered how it felt when he held me against his sturdy chest. Skylar and I hated him so, I had expected Skylar to act out, but she was indifferent.
