Chapter 121

Ashley's Pov

Regan stayed with me through the night. He had dinner served in his room and he spoon-fed me. He also informed me about Becca's condition. She was getting better and the Prince made her have dinner with my father in the dining hall.

A lot was on my mind and I thought I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. Realizing that Regan was the one who rescued me when I was attacked was still like a dream. It made me curious about his identity but above all, I felt secure with him.

If he went out of his way to send help my way, it meant I was safe with him at least for now. I dropped my worries and slept like a baby.

The next morning, I woke up to the call of the maids. Sighting them, I looked around but Regan was gone.

"My lady," the head maid smiled as she led me out of the bed.

"We need to get you ready, the Prince is waiting for you," she said grinning from ear to ear. It was the first time I would see her smile and I knew she knew I was searching for the Prince.
