Regan's POV

I tossed about on the bed trying to get some sleep. My eyes were dim but I couldn't sleep.

"Why do I even care? She has nothing to do with me," I muttered to myself for the umpteenth time and sat up on my bed angrily.

I knew the Dowager. She had caught Ashley, there are no two ways to it. She even let the other girl live. She summoned Ashley because she wanted to confirm the semblance with the drawing.

The more I looked at it, the more I wanted to back out. As a matter of fact, a part of me still thought that Ashley did it to implicate me to get her revenge.

But now that I knew that she was the leader of a rebel group, I understood her better. Apart from implicating me, she did it to stock up the group's armory. It could be the case of using a stone to kill two birds.
