Chapter 3 Meeting The Alpha Billionaire

Alexander holds the golden ring in his hand as he stares at it for a while imagining how perfect it will look on the finger of the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

He remembered when he met Ella at the Walton family bouquet three years ago. That day still seems like yesterday to him and the love between them keeps increasing each day although they usually have their ups and downs.

Alexander closed the ring box before tucking it back inside his suit pocket.

A slight smile crept on his hardened face which died off immediately as he stared at himself properly and he adjusted his blue tie before taking a last look at his well-perfect figure in the mirror.

He came out of his house and immediately his guard saw him and they all bowed to him.

"I won't be needing an escort to follow me today I will be going alone" Alexander informed them before entering his black Mercedes Benz car and he zooms out of his building.

After driving for close to thirty minutes Alexander drives into Ella's compound and parks his car at the parking lodge.

He adjusts his tie properly again for the fifth time and dips his hand inside his pocket before walking majestically inside the building. A smile lingered on his face when he thought of how shocked Ella will be for seeing him at her house at this hour because he never told her that he will be coming. He wants the proposal to be a surprise to her.

He walked into the building and was surprised at how everywhere was quiet. This is strange. Ella's house is always booming with loud music whenever he comes here to check on her.

With his hand still stuck inside his suit pocket, he took to the stairs and walked steadily on the floor without his footsteps making any sound. Every part of his body stood on alert as he walked inside the complete silence mansion.

Without knocking on the door he twisted the doorknob and pushed the door wide open his eyes landed on two figures on the bed kissing. Ella was kissing a strange man on her bed.

Ella quickly jerks away from the kiss as she stares at Alexander in shock she was not expecting to see him today and he didn't even call her that he will be coming.

"Ella why, why?" was the only thing that came out of his mouth right now he is hurt beyond repair he can't even think straight he only wishes that the Ella he is seeing is just an illusion maybe he was dreaming but it never a dream because the scene before him didn't fade away.

"Alex, you didn't tell me that you were coming" she speaks without feeling remorseful like what she did just now is not a big deal.

"Ella, how long has this been going on?" came his question in a cracked voice as his eyes moved from the woman he loved to the strange man lying next to her shirtless.

"Does that even matter now Alex? besides we aren't married yet so I need to have a test of other d*ck before I finally become yours" she shrugged packing her hair up into a bun.

Alexander clenched his hand in a tight fist beside him as he stared at her with a furrowed brow. He was never expecting those words from her which means she didn't even regret her action then there's no point fighting for their love.

"I was wrong, I thought you are truly meant for me but I never knew that I am just a fling to you and I am the only one loving here" without any more words he moves toward the door.

On a second thought, he stopped and turned around his hand holding tight to the ring inside his pocket. Today which he thought will be his happiest day turned out to be the worst day of his life.

"This thing between us is over" he rasped in a croaky voice before dashing out of the room.

Ella parted her lips open to say a word but she was quick to close them back even if they should break up she had nothing to lose she had already gotten what she needed from him, fame.

Bitter tears drip down Clara's face as she holds tight to the doctor's note. How could life be so unfair to her? She is not afraid of death because what she has been through is more like death but who will look after Aria when she is gone.

Why, why is life so unfair to her?

Clara put the doctor's result inside her handbag as she made her way to work she wipe her tears away trying to be in a bright mood there is no need to be sober the did have been done all she have to do now is to work harder and save for her daughter since she has less than six months to live on earth.

"Take the drinks to table 6" her boss ordered her handing the apple juice to her his eyes traveling all over her body. weakly, she collected it from him and walked away lazily.

Since she arrived at work today she hasn't had a rest she has been too busy attending to people's orders, that is how it always been during the weekend but today she is not in a good mood after she received the doctor's report she felt so weak tired and sad it makes her body reluctant to work but hell no, she can't complain to her boss.

Mr. Blake, her boss, is a very bossy person. He doesn't care how you are feeling; the only thing he wants to see you do is just to work. work work work until no life is left in you he doesn't care about your mood or health so long they are customers and money is coming in he is happy. You don't complain or you get fired.

She served table 6 the drink as she made her way towards her seat. She looked around the restaurant and noticed that people have started reducing it late already and any moment from now they will close.

A hand tapped Clara strongly on her back making her jerk up from the table she turned around and her eyes landed on Mr. Blake's glare.

"Where the hell did your mind travel to? I have been calling and shouting your names for a long time and you were too deaf to answer me" Mr. Blake yelled at her his wicked glare at her skin if only eyes could kill Clara's burial would have been tomorrow Monday.

"I am sorry sir" was the only thing that came out of her mouth as she stared back at him.

"I and the rest workers will be leaving, you are the one to lock the restaurant today once all the people are out you can close" 

"Yes sir" she nods her head. That is how it has been here: they close the restaurant, turn by turn and today is her turn which means she will be closing for work very late. Thank God that Alice won't be coming home early today.

Without saying any more words he dashed out of the restaurant giving her a last strong glare while the other girls together followed him. Clara looked around the restaurant then she noticed that she was left with two customers before she could start closing.

As Clara made to turn away her eyes caught with a figure that just walked into the restaurant her face squeezed in a frown as she watched him. Why would another customer show up when she is just about closing geez could today get any worse than this?

She paused and watched the man although she wasn't seeing his face clearly because the light in the restaurant wasn't bright enough but she could tell that he is a freaky rich guy judging from the look of his suit down to his polished black shoe. And his tall features hold a lot of dominion and power.

Steadily she walks toward him with a pen and a jolter as she tries hard not to show how sad and angry she felt at his arrival.

She pauses for a while as she gets close to him she stares at him for a long time like she hasn't seen a man this perfect and good-looking before although there are some dark circles under his eyes and his dark curly hair was scattered all over his head giving him a bad guy vibe.

Clara blinked her eyes repeatedly when she noticed that she had stared into his eyes for a long time just then she realized that his eyes were also on her. She can't deny the fact that he is truly handsome, having a fair complexion, cavernous golden eyes, and a perfectly built body?

"What is wrong with me?" she mumbled under her breath as she bit on her lower lips before taking a few steps closer to him. Right now she feels all flushed and embarrassed at how she has spent the whole day staring at him.

"Sir what will I get for you" she forced out a smile on her face standing before the man that made her lose her sense by just staring into his dark golden eyes.

"You don't have to force a smile if it is not genuine" came his calm voice.
