82-The Duel

Before Randolph could say anything else, he was interrupted by a harsh scream.

It was Jarek who screamed. He covered his neck in horror, unable to stop the blood gushing from his artery.

It wasn't until a flash of silver light that Randolph saw clearly that Jarek had a scalpel inserted in his wound.

"Cough, cough!"

The air plunged into Brent's lungs at the threshold of asphyxiation, causing a sharp pain in his chest.

But he couldn't care less about the pain at the moment and struggled to pull the blade out of Jarek's neck before plunging it in deep once more.

More blood splattered from Jarek's wound, staining the ceiling and the walls around him.

He bounced in pain like a dying fish, only to be pushed aside unceremoniously by Brent.
