My eyes turned serious as I summoned my wolf.

‘Ylva, we are about to fight a wolf physically stronger than us. I’m sorry, but we might feel some pain again later,’ I told my wolf, even though I knew that I would not expect a reply.

It has been years since I first shifted and met my wolf. However, except for that first night we met, wherein she showed me our ability, I have neither heard anything from her nor felt her presence anymore.

If not for my ability to shift and the future where I saw Ylva, it was like I had no wolf, and she was only a product of my imagination.

Despite this, it has become my habit to talk to her.

 Thus, when I heard a low growl inside of me, my heart jumped in shock and I almost fell on the ground while running.
