Amy
What the hell just happened? I just accepted to spend my day with Jace, that's it. What about the book I have to edit on my computer? I will surely need a lot of catching up to do after this. I can't just turn him down after showing up at my apartment early in the morning. I have to loosen up. I can't just keep myself locked up in this apartment with my thoughts running wild about dimpled cheeks when I can spend the day watching them. I don't want to live in hiding anymore.
"I thought you wouldn't come out of there," Jace says as I meet him where I left him out of the apartment.
"What did you think I was doing?" I ask out of mere curiosity.
"Having second thoughts," he replies.
"That crossed my mind," I tell him.
"But you still came?"
"Yes, for some strange reason I like your company," I tell him and he chuckles lightly. We begin walking across the street.
"Where do you want to go?" he asks.
"Where were you planning on taking me?" I ask.
"I could take you to lots of places," he says.
"Such as..." I press.
"The woods," he replies with a smirk.
"I thought they were out of bounds," I reply with an equal smirk.
"Are you smirking at me?" he asks while cocking his head to one side.
"I hope so," I reply
"I thought I am the one who does that," he smiles.
"Who said you could and I couldn't?" I say.
"Are we going to stand here all day and give each other comebacks or what?" he inquires. I just smile.
The morning air is refreshing. It isn't that early though. The small town looks busy and everyone is going about their businesses. I can't help but admire the beauty of the town. I have been in the town for over a month but walking around it with Jace by my side is a thousand times better.
Jace being Jace, he keeps giving the strangest descriptions of places making me smile the whole time and my cheeks hurt. He seems very familiar with this place.
"How long have you lived here?" I can't help but ask.
"Since I was born," he replies.
"No doubt you are very familiar with this place," I say.
"Unlike you who was walking herself into the woods," he says with a raised eyebrow. I swat his arm.
"Will you give that up? What's with you and those woods?" I ask.
"We're you never warned about dangerous creatures that live in woods?"
"What kind of creatures could live near this town?"
"A lot," he replies.
"You mean like wolves and hyenas?" I ask with a laugh.
"Yes, but hyenas excluded. I haven't seen any around this place," he replies with a serious tone that makes me want to roll my eyes.
"Wolves? Like normal wolves or werewolves? Which ones have you seen?"
"Both," he says.
"You've ever seen a werewolf? Like those from the novels and TV?" I ask.
"Yes but more realistic," he replies.
"Oh, maybe I should be more careful this time," I say sarcastically.
"You have no regard for your safety, " he says as he shakes his head.
"So you mean I could have been eaten by a wolf or something," I say.
"Yes," he replies.
"Are they that dangerous?" I ask.
"Some yes," he says. "Others are good wolves."
"How do you know that?" I ask.
"I was raised by a pack of wolves," he says with a grin.
"Like for real?"
"Yes," his face is serious. Jace jokes a lot and it's very confusing for me to know whether he is serious or not. This whole wolf thing is giving me chills. How can a human being be raised by a pack of wolves?
"You are overthinking the situation," Jace breaks through my reverie.
"No, I am not," I lie.
"Your nose has become longer," he says with a dimpled smile. I am tempted to look at my nose which is of course the normal size.
"Pinocchio?" I raise a brow at him.
"Hey, I also read some books," he says.
"I can see that," I say.
"Do you want to have some late breakfast?" he asks. "I know a great place."
"Sure," I reply.
The restaurant was a nice place and the food was amazing. I have to note it down so that I can come here more often.
"I had a nice time," I tell Jace as we walk back to the apartment.
"Me too," he replies.
"We should go back another time. it will be my treat this time," I tell him in hopes of getting to spend with him some time after today.
"Sure," he says. I almost jump about out of excitement but I manage to keep my cool.
"Okay," I say with a smile.
"Do you want to go home now," he asks. Oh, no. I thought we were going to spend the whole day together.
"It's still early," I say.
"It is. Where do you want to go?" he asks.
"Anywhere," I say. A smile covers his face and his dimples show. I hope I didn't sound too desperate.
"Anywhere, Amy? Are you sure?" I can imagine different locations running in his mind.
"Show me where you live," I say.
"Are you sure? I told you I was raised by a pack of wolves," he says.
"Wolves or people, I don't care," I say with a shrug.
"Okay, it's your funeral," he chuckles.
"I don't they will be as savage as you make them sound," I tell him.
"I never said they were savages," he says.
"That is the picture you gave me," I tell him.
"I am not to blame for what pictures your mind makes out of situations," he says flatly.
"Do you have to call your family a pack of wolves?" I ask.
"That is what they are," his tone is serious. I just roll my eyes at his seriousness.
Jace I can't believe I am taking Amy home. What will the park think of her? Will they like her? Of course, they will like her. She is a nice girl. What if she doesn't like the place and the park? Why am I nervous like shit? When we reach home, Amy is quiet and that makes worry creep under my skin. "What do you think?" I have to ask her. "This is a nice place," her voice is full of amazement. I feel great relief. "I mean this place is wow! The environment is so calm and quiet. It is just so wow," she adds. I think I am now grinning like a fool. "I am glad you like it," I tell her and lead her to the house. "Oh my goodness, Jace!" she exclaims and terror takes over my being once again. "What is the matter?" I ask. My tone is undoubtedly filled with worry. "Is this your house?" she asks with wide eyes. "Yeah," I reply. "This house is beautiful and huge," she says as her big beautiful eyes scan the entire building. I smile with relief. "It is not that huge," I suddenly feel a p
Amy Sophia moves about in the kitchen. She seems to know what she is doing. She moves about from the stove to stir in the soup and goes to check the contents in the oven. I offered to help but she only let me knead the dough. She didn't let me do any other work since she considers me a special guest. Under normal circumstances, I would have rolled my eyes at her but I kinda like her. I wonder where Jace has gone. Is it weird that I am already missing him? "Are you and Jace together?" she asks me while turning on the blender. "Um, no," why am I nervous about answering the question? I feel like a liar after saying that. Are we together? "Have you been seeing each other for long?" she continues her interview. "We just met yesterday," I feel very weird saying that. "Oh," she doesn't look as surprised as I thought she would be. Instead, she just gives me another of the warm smiles I have been receiving since I reached here. "How are you related to Jace?" I ask her in an attempt to c
Jace The whole table is buzzing and lively. I can't figure out where the conversation began but I am sure as hell that I don't know where it is heading. Amy looks happy. The grin covering her face as Alexa tells her details of her pregnancy can tell it all. I find myself grinning like an idiot against my own will. What is happening to me? Maybe I should bring Amy over more often. Who am I kidding? I just met her yesterday and I expect her to scream 'yes, of course when I ask her to come again. I must be out of my mind. "So Amy, are you done with college?" Sophia asks Amy. I try shooting a warning glare at her but she smiles unaffected. "Yes," Amy replies. " I am now working." "Where do you work?" she continues her interrogation. "I work for a Publishing Company. I work as an editor," she replies with a smile. "Which publishing company?" Sophia presses. Oh crap! Will you stop making the girl uncomfortable with your stupid interview? I nearly shout at Sophia but Amy answers politel
Amy I had a great time. I haven't been with loving people for a while. Jace's family has filled that hole that has been digging in my heart because of missing my family. My family is not this collected. My parents are divorced. My father is remarried and my mother is with her current boyfriend, Bruce. Bruce is a friendly guy but it is still weird to me that my mother is dating a guy. My parents have been divorced for six years, but seeing them with other partners still surprises me. Divorced or not, they are still my family and I love them both. Perhaps they had their reasons for separating. Who am I to judge them? The kitchen is very large I didn't even notice Jace standing in the doorway staring at me. When I look at him, he gives me a dimpled smile and my skin heats up. I don't know what that is about but I kinda like it. I give him a shy smile and place the dishes that I was wiping into the cupboard. Sophia is still talking about a topic I am not sure I understand. I think she is
Jace My family is so touchy when it comes to my girl. These women keep hugging her and sniffling. She is not going to die. She is just going back to her tiny apartment. Why can't she just sleep over? Who cares if it's her first visit? I have heard of girls who sneak into boys' houses even when the parents have no idea what she looks like. But Amy is not one of those girls, I have to remind myself. She is a composed and sane individual. That is why the kids kiss her on both cheeks and force her to promise to visit again. I feel awkward standing there in the living room and watching the boys speak emotionally to Amy. This is incredible... I don't want to say heartwarming because I am a selfish jerk. Amy keeps smiling and I am thinking she will have to massage her cheeks when she reaches home. "Come on guys. Don't weep Infront of her. You will scare her and she will not want to come back," and I want her to, I don't add that. I have to keep it to myself, in the meantime. "We aren't
Amy My blood is heating up. I can feel hot blood running through my veins. Oh, god! Jace is so close to me that I can breathe in his scent. His manly scent is sexy as hell. He smells like collagen and wood. A strange mixture but has got me intoxicated. "What do I do to you?" I whisper into his hair. "You really want to know?" he inquires in a tone sexy as hell. "Yes," I reply and dare to run my hand over his chest. It feels so hard through his shirt. It is no doubt he works out. "Are you tempting me, Amy?" he asks me with a smile playing on his lips. "I hope so," I reply with a shy smile. "Damn it, Amy," he curses and grasps my waist. He puts me on top of the kitchen counter with my legs engulfing his waist. His lips run across my jaw and his breathing tickles my skin. I purse my lips to stifle a giggle. "I don't think you would want to talk about it," he purrs into my hair. "What? Is it terrifying?" I grin into his neck. "No, the opposite," he says. "Amazing?" I ask. "Tha
Jace I have been sitting at the door to Amy's apartment for hours now. Like a real jerk! She must be asleep by now. What happened? I didn't freak out. My wolf lost control. I started transforming in front of Amy. I could feel my claws digging into Amy's skin. My wolf wanted to mark her. To mark his mate so that everyone will know she is his. Amy is not ready for this. What if she hates me when she finds out exactly who I am? That is all that has been filling my head since I left Amy's kitchen like a chicken. I want to go back in but what will I tell her? She is probably mad at me now. I stand up and stare at the door. "I'm so sorry, Amy," I mutter to myself, remembering the glossy eyes that glared at me with disappointment. Dude, put your shit together, my subconscious screams at me. I turn on my heels and walk out of the apartment block. I walk into the woods remembering the first time I teased Amy about it. Things have been surely happening so fast. My wolf is so eager to burs
AmyI woke up with a light head. I willed myself not to think anything about Jace so that I can focus on my work. I realized that I had lagged behind on the book I was editing. I poured myself some coffee and sat in front of my laptop. I am surprised when I finish the book before one. I haven't eaten anything sensible since morning. I last ate a decent meal at Jace's house. Ugh... There he goes again. He just can't get out of my mind. I can't stop thinking about him. I miss him now.I turn off the laptop and go to the kitchen. I try not to remember that Jace was kissing me on that kitchen counter, but it's hopeless. Jace has probably done something to me. I have never been possessed by someone like this. I have to use possessed because I nolonger have any control over my own feelings. There isn't enough groceries in the kitchen for me to make a decent meal. I hate this day. While I am getting angry at my kitchen, someone knocks at my door. I am not expecti
TWO YEARS LATER Amy I finally dash down the stairs after staying in the bathroom for almost half an hour staring at the results of the pregnancy test. I am afraid that I might be too excited and this may be a fake result. For all the two years of being married to Jace, we have been trying to get pregnant. After the first year of so much trying and disappointments, I gave up hope of having a baby with Jace. Everything has been going great in our marriage and the entire pack, but one thing has been lacking. Jace has always convinced me that it doesn't matter if we have a baby or not but I would notice how he looked at parents around the castle. Jose and Sophia had their first child, Bella last year. Patrick and Alexa's boy is almost two years now. There are so many kids around this place and it hurts being the only one unable to have one. Reaching downstairs, I find Jace and Jose giving instructions to the engineer who is handling the construction of Pack's hospital. Jace is plannin
Amy Today is Jace's coronation day. It is also my coronation but it is mainly Jace's. I am so happy for him. Today is the day he will officially become the Alpha of the Redclaw pack. I see him growing stronger and more hopeful every day that I wake up by his side. Saying that I moved in with him is an understatement of the fact that I can't even leave his side. Our love for each other grows stronger and stronger each morning. Most of my things are still in my apartment. I haven't even made up my mind to go and collect them. Most of the things that I am using are new: the clothes, the shoes, almost everything. I want to go back to my apartment sometime next week and pick up my laptop. I want to continue doing my job and catch up with the things I have lagged on. Jace told me there is no need for me to work, but I still insisted on doing my job. I love my job and it doesn't demand a lot from me. I know I will always save time to sit down and edit some articles. I slowly remove Jace'
JaceTHREE WEEKS LATERThe Redclaw pack is once again in jubilation. The castle has been decorated to its maximum. All kinds of foods and drinks have filled the castle kitchen. I wonder if we will be able to finish all of it. Very long guest lists have been made. Some invited packs I have never heard of, but ofcourse Alpha Daniel of the Half moon pack is the first on the invite list. I wouldn't risk my life to dare forget to invite him. A very special seat has been saved for him and his wife, as well as his Beta.I am standing in the great hall watching the pack members as they move about joyfully decorating the place. There is nothing in this place that can act as an evidence of what happened three weeks ago. All the remains of the bloody battle were cleaned up and burnt to smithereens. Now the castle is a place where everyone comes to have their feel of happiness. Tomorrow will be my Alpha crowning ceremony and everything is a percentage more exci
AmyJace finds the door to the bathroom and opens it to check inside. A few minutes after he enters, I hear water running and then being turned off. Jace later comes out and walks to the bed."There is a bathtub big enough for us to fit. I have filled it with warm water and I think it will be more refreshing than a shower," he tells me. He looks looks at me with a secret smile. I am only dressed in pants."Should I help you with those?" he asks me referring to my pants."No need. I can manage to take them off on my own," I answer him with a smile."I don't mind helping. Besides, I enjoy helping you get naked," he says with a smirk and I swat his arm."Come here," he beckons me with open arms, and I don't think twice before responding. He helps me off the bed and I stand on my feet. He squats in front of me and slowly undoes my zipper. Carefully, he pulls my pants down to my feet and I step out of them. I am left in only in my white lace pant
JaceI had assured myself that I was dead but the feel of my girl's gorgeous lips on mine awakens every cell in my body. I pull her closer to me and engulf my arms around her. This has been a really tough day and night for both of us and I am very glad that we still have each other. Amy pulls away from the kiss and looks me in the eyes. She runs her fingers down my collar bone to my chest. She looks so weak. She must be very exhausted. She has been in this place since yesterday morning and has spent the whole night awake. That is why her lips are pale and her face looks weary."Amy," I lift my hand so that I can trace her face with my fingers. She leans her face into my hands, submitting to my touch."Have you been hurt? Anywhere?" I ask her and she shakes her head slowly in response."I am fine. I am just worried about you," she tells me."You don't have to worry about me. I will be able to heal quickly because of my werewolf ability," I te
AmyNelly leads me behind the castle away from Dwayne and his men. Jace has remained behind to stop them but I don't feel safe at all. How can I leave Jace behind and hide?"No. I am going back to Jace," I tell Nelly."What are you talking about. You are going to get yourself killed," she says."He is alone with those monsters. I have to do something. He is going to get killed," I try to explain to her but she just shakes her head."He is trying to save you. You can't just go back. You will make things worse," she tells me. I know what she is saying is right, but I don't want to leave Jace's side. He is already very wounded. I can't stop worrying about him."Come on. Let's keep going," she pleads. I look behind me but I can't see Jace anymore. I can't even hear the growls of the wolves fighting. We have already gone far from the place where I left them. I nod to Nelly and she leads me away back to the back entrance of the castle. We we
JaceI was damn surprised out of my mind seeing Amy being brought by the pack trainer. I thought she had already gone away from here. When Dwayne walked towards the pack trainer, I thought he had caught Amy and had brought her to him. I couldn't just watch Dwayne get back Amy so I had to stop him. I saw the look in Amy's eyes when she saw my wolf. She was terrified. I started thinking that she didn't like what I really was, but the pack trainer explaining the ulterior motive of the Redclaw warriors brought unimaginable relief to me.It means that Amy came here with the warriors on her own will. When I saw Sophia among the warriors, I really felt so supported. I was not expecting any help from the Redclaw pack members and there submission to me was totally unexpected. It had never crossed my mind that the Redclaw pack would fight along side me to get rid of Dwayne and his followers. At least Amy doesn't think of me as a beast since she has been with the wol
AmyA very loud howl comes out from the woods in the direction of the castle. An equally loud growl follows the howl, making my heart pound louder. We immediately stop walking and I look at Nelly who looks very worried."What is going on?" I inquire."That is Alpha Dwayne's howl. He is trying to communicate that there is danger in the castle and the entire pack should go and defend him," Nelly replies. I look at the pack of warriors behind me wondering if they are going to choose to .defend their current Alpha or their rightful Alpha."But we know what we want. We have already chosen the side we want to fight for and we aren't going to change our minds," Menny assures me."We must hurry. I think they have started to fight," he adds, and we start running. the wolves just glide through the woods. I, however, keep stumbling over my own feet. Nelly keeps helping me to run without falling. I don't understand why she should bother trying to help me inste
JaceThe rowdy guards come back inside without Amy. I briefly sigh with relief knowing that they haven't been able to find her. I hope Sophia managed to get her out of this place. Now all I have to worry about is Jose, Patrick and Jordan. Ellen is in the great hall with me. She looks very strong. She is must be more determined than I thought."Tell me!" Dwayne orders the guards who look very breathless. They must have done a lot of running around."Sir. We searched around the castle but we couldn't find her," one of them responds."Damn it!" he roars and throws a decorative flowerpot off the windowsill infront of him. It lands on the floor with a deafening sound as it cracks into pieces. I could have laughed at seeing Dwayne throwing a fist because he has lost."Quit it, Dwayne. You are never going to have Amy. She is too smart for your idiotic pranks," I tell him with a smirk. The look on his face now is something I would pay a fortune to se
