Meeting my mate

Alpha King Chester's stance.

“King Chester,” my beta, Kelly blurts through the mind link. He may be a bit of a pain at times, but he is my best friend, after all.

"Yes, Kelly," I retort. "What do you need?" I'm hoping he has something important to tell me. If not, I'll knock some teeth off him.

“Alpha, we spotted some rogues near our borders," he informs me.

Everyone knows how much I despise anybody who trespasses. Rogues are often hostile and can disrupt the peace and stability of an area. They also tend to take advantage of the resources of their hosts and damage the environment. Therefore, it is important to protect borders and keep out any intruders.

“I'm on my way.”

I get into action right away and shift to my wolf and run to the front of our pack house. The fresh air feels amazing and my wolf has been urging me to take a run around our borders ever since Kelly told me about the rogue issue.
