Chapter 17.

MARKING.

"The next ritual, my King. You have to mark her to seal your bond," the priest announced.

I step toward my bride happily. She shows me her neck fully devoted to me, giving me full access to her making spot. I caressed her neck and her intoxicating scent hit me. It is her vanilla and cinnamon scent. I dip my canines into her delicate skin, marking and making her mine forever.

Deafening applause erupts, and the cheers of the crowd burst through the air. They are crying out their happiness, and suddenly a white light appears from the sky.

"Hail the moon goddess!

The high priest shouted, "What we all witnessed about five seconds ago is proof that our goddess blessed and approved this union." And the crowd cheered again. "This ceremony has come to an end. The wedding is over!" The priest shouted…
