August wakes up the next morning, unsure if last night was nothing but a wicked dream. He peeks at the spot next to him and sees Elizabeth’s sleeping figure curled facing away from him but still sleeping. Smiling and exhaling with relief as he shifts to face her and hold her against him. He lost her because of his stupidity, but he made sure Madison was out of his life for good. She was previously his muse, but she crushed his heart and spirit when she chose to marry for wealth. No matter what she told him a few days ago, his heart wasn’t hers to break anymore.
Madison Page looks up at August’s manor and grins sadly. She knew she lost August a long time ago because she chose money over their love but not a day goes by where she didn’t regret her decision. Years of being nothing but a punching bag to her husband showed her how karma worked, her son was the only light at the end of a very dark tunnel. She spots movement on the front porch and sees the manor’s front door opening.
August rushes to the stage before Elizabeth's head could hit the floor. A gasp echoed through the hall when she fell. He took her into his arms and went backstage, "Joseph, call an ambulance!" He instructed her PA and he obliged. He knew something wasn't right all evening, he could feel that it was more than just her nerves working overtime. As he strokes her hair, he thinks of the box in his tuxedo's breast pocket. He was going to end off her most specia
Eldred Dereon watches his son and that woman from a distance and scowls. How did he bringing Madison Page back into August's life not work? He was basically a lovesick and obsessed boy over Madison, and when he lost her he grew even more obsessed. It's a good thing he got her out of his son's life, she would have made an awful wife and he would have forgotten his responsibility to the family. He downs his whiskey and slams his glass down. Augus
Itwas a week before Christmas and August was stumped as to what to get Elizabeth as a gift. What do you get a woman who seemingly has everything and the world at her feet? He slams his laptop shut in frustration. After hours of scrolling through Pandora, Audemars Piguet, Harry Winston and Tiffany & Co websites, he decided to give up. Elizabeth wasn’t really an expensive jewelry type of person, so he wasn’t sure why he was wasting his time looking for a perfect gift for her on their websites. He sits back in his chair and exhales. Maybe he should just ask her what she wants? But don
Elizabeth frowns at her laptop and hangs her head in her hands. She couldn't decide what to get August for Christmas either. On top of worrying about her companies, she had to deal with the stress of buying August Dereon a Christmas gift. She knew what he liked, but couldn't find the perfect gift to convey the words "I Love You". He had been such an integral part of her life for the last 2 years, but couldn't decide what he would like best. What do you think Elizabeth should get him?? Comment today and stand a chance to feature in my book as part of A Very Dereon Christmas!
August turns back to look at the villa. It really was perfect for the three of them. The nursery was sorted, there were no stairs so that would prevent a fall if it ever had to happen. He turns around and walks away with a smile and gets into his car.As he drove away he couldn't help but think of the future, he had a lot to consider now. It wasn't just Dereon Inc. that he had to think about, there was Elizabeth, their unborn child and th
It was Christmas morning and Elizabeth woke up to the smell of bacon wafting up from the kitchen and immediately felt nauseous. She sprints to the bathroom and empties whatever is left of her stomach contents into the toilet. Looking and feeling guilty, she mouths an “Oh, no.” as she realises August would be so disappointed, he was trying to do something sweet but she wouldn't be able to stomach breakfast this morning. Getting up from the floor, she turns to the sink and splashes her face, after which she brushes her t
A few days after Christmas, August and Elizabeth are completely settled into their new family home. He noticed that she was brimming with inspiration a lot more than since they moved into their countryside villa. He loved the fact that she was happy with their home, so it seems that he did well.
Elizabeth rummages through her storage. Damon had run off in this direction with her bag and she could not find her wallet anywhere. Today was the opening of Libellule School of Design and she would be late at this rate. Sighing in exasperation, she vows never to have any more kids. As she bends down to look behind one of Damon's old strollers, she spots a box hidden in the far end of the shelf. She frowns and reaches in further until she could touch the box and pulls it out. It was about the size of a normal shoe box and looked oddly familiar. She took the top off and sighed, it was a photo album. Her mother used to old fashioned back in the day before greed took over. As she paged through the album, she becomes misty eyed at the happy memories she had when Blair was still alive. But as she neared the end, she recognized an envelope that she put there a long time ago; a letter left to her by her parents in their will. She had completely forgotten about the letter; he
Elizabeth waves at Damon as he walked into daycare, his blonde curls bobbing up and down as he runs towards his teacher. At three years old he was already starting to look like his father, he even inherited August’s heterochromia but he had the temperament of his mother, loving and kind.Just as she was about to turn around, she sees Damon turn around and wave to her one last time, “Bye, mama! Wuv you!” he shouts and gives her a big smile, her heart absolutely bursting with love. He then runs inside, feeling satisfied with his message. She gets inside her Maybach and drives towards Blair Industries.Life being married to August was everything she could ever hope for. Damon was growing every day. Both their companies were doing exceptionally well and they were more in love than ever. She kept on waiting for her world to come crashing down, but it never came.Maybe true happiness does exist, she thinks to
Emily watches from the vantage point of her bulletproof bedroom windows.Antonio was hoisting Amy into his Emperor, of course, he came with that ridiculous car to do a rescue. She sees them getting away despite the gunfire and sighs sadly, knowing Antonio would plan revenge after he sees the extent of Amy’s injuries she had Vito inflict over the past 3 days. She touched his woman, his property. He will be out for blood. She turns away from the window and walks out into the hallway. Piero had already called a cleanup crew to dispose of the Russo filth on Marino territory. “Famiglia!” she calls, and all her soldiers had their attention on her, “Tomorrow we wage war on Russo ground. They trespassed on our territory for the last time. We need to make an example of them.” she hollers, with heated grunts and shouts coming from her men.It always amazed her at the power she had over these men and h
Emily tells her enforcer, Vito, to leave Amy to stew in her own thoughts for the night. They would continue with the torture in the morning. The evening would give her plenty of time to reconsider her predicament and tell them where Antonio was hiding out.She couldn’t help but think her brother a coward. He left the woman he supposedly loved in order to keep himself safe. Giovanni would turn in his grave if he knew the man he trained to be the next Boss was in fact a coward and not worthy of the Omerta.Smiling a silent victory, she slips into her nightgown and retires for the evening.***Days pass with no word from her brother or his family.Vito had exhausted all his t
* August and Elizabeth's story will continue soon.*Emily stares at her reflection in the mirror.A face she did not recognize anymore because of the extensive plastic surgery she had to endure after the blast to their limo 2 years ago. Just as she was made Boss before killing Giovanni Russo, her territory had been invaded and they betrayed her. Luckily, she reclaimed her throne before the vultures descended. She took down so many of Russo’s men that she lost count. In Sicily, they nicknamed her Strega Rossa because of her red hair and penchant for killing with blades. She definitely was not Antonio’s pufetta anymore. She puts on her corset and has her ancella lace her up tightly. She only fought in corsets, the pain meant no
Elizabeth stares at Damon through the glass of his incubator with a worried frown etched on her face. After they found him screaming in a bassinet in one of the hospital hallways, her doctor had run all the necessary tests on him to see if they hurt him. There was nothing physically wrong with him, however, he endured tremendous stress during his abduction. He wa

August looks down at his bloodied fist.He had to take his anger out on something after seeing Madison walk out of the hospital with his newborn son. Staring at the wall, he watches his blood drip down the paint and proceeds to punch it over and over again.
