Chapter 115: I promise

Arya’s POV

There’s no doubt my heart has been doing poorly. Just a single phone call got it racing, my anxiety levels were sky-rocking and I didn’t know how to fix it. This point made me realize just how hard it was to forget your past emotions.

When I look back I’m genuinely surprised that I didn’t get a heart attack. The younger years of my life while I took care of my mother, I would often receive calls from her or the hospital and although she’d try to act strong I knew the situation was worsening. It took a miracle for me not to pass out each time I took those distressing calls.

Luckily history wasn’t repeating itself and she called out of concern. I did tell her I’d drop by after my shoot at noon, it’s already almost 6pm.

“I’m headed home for some suppliers, will be with you in no time”
