A protective embrace

/Penelope's POV/

“Fasten your seat belts, the plane will land in a few minutes,” a masculine voice that I recognized as the Pilot's informed, before I could strap my seatbelt by myself, my dear husband had taken the law into his hands, all I saw was a veiny hand pulling out the belt, and fastening it to his hold, my cheeks flushed, we've been pretty much ignoring each other since the brunch we had, and as usual, he paid me no attention or glanced towards my direction, but out of courtesy, I slipped out a thank you.

The plane landed, my face wrinkled at the turbulence, my fist clenched, I subconsciously held his hands unknowingly to me.

“Oh, Sorry.” I apologized, snatching my hands from his, I saw the angry claw marks printed on him.

“Oh, God. Can I get swallowed up by this plane already?” I wished while feeling the familiar arm unfasten the seat belt, now I don't feel fly any more, I feel like a child, I was a minute from shouting profanities at him before I remembered what just happe
