Aaron’s POV

Things were going south, and I was getting very nervous and sad at the moment because things were not going as planned, and I was afraid of losing Hannah to death because it was going to be traumatic, and I was not ready for that kind of experience at all.

Mum had always been keen on the person I should marry; she wants me to marry someone from a rich background and someone who was influential just like us, just to foster the relationship and bring in more money to the family, just like they say: birds of the same feather flock together, so that’s the exact thing my mother had always wanted.

"Mum, are you seriously going to leave me here with my problems?” I asked her out of curiosity.

“I gave you money already, so you don’t have any issues, she replied.

“Money is not my problem, and you know it. I have my own money, and I can sort myself out.” I told her.

“Oh then, whatever!!” She screamed.

“Mum?!!” I yelled.

“I can’t stay here; I told you that I have an appointment

Aaron’s POV As I waited for Hannah in the reception, my heart was beating so fast, and I was very nervous about the whole situation. Doctor Peter was seated beside me, and he was silent and looking all around like someone who had lost something.Mum had left me in the hospital, and I had no close person to talk to or share what exactly was on my mind. I was so bothered, but then, as a man, I needed to stand strong and not act like what I was going through at the moment. Tears were in my eyes, but then I just couldn’t let them pour out like a little baby. I was angry at my mom for leaving me, but then I understood that she was upset that Hannah spoke in such a rude manner. I also expected that mom would take a chill pill and listen to my explanation instead of just walking away. Fine, she had an appointment with a commissioner, but then I’m her only son, and I think I should be her top priority no matter what happens. I was boiling in anger towards my mom, and I called her number s

Aaron’s POV As we were laughing and chatting about our pasts and present, I had forgotten about what was happening at that moment, and I felt lighter at that moment because it’s been so long since I laughed so hard like that. I was used to frowning and shouting every time, but now I finally had the opportunity to laugh. I wished it was my mother that made me laugh and eased me from the stress, but unfortunately, it was a stranger that made me laugh so hard and forget my problems at that particular moment. I never believed in friendship or having someone to talk to because I was wealthy and got everything I wanted, and I never faced any circumstances that made me disoriented. But for the first time, I saw the essence of friendship, and having someone to pour your mind into was a great relief. “Hope you feel better now? And I hope I’m not adding to what’s wrong with you.” Doctor Peter asked me after a long while of laughter. “Oh yes! I feel better and happier! I’m really grateful fo

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 55:Arguments

Aaron’s POV As soon as I hung up on Faith, my mind returned to the things I was thinking about, and I realized that I was back to reality, where I was faced with the fear of losing my dear lover—Hannah. I used to be a tough guy, as per being a billionaire, without giving a damn about anyone, so my confidence was too notchy, and I didn’t care about anything. It was at this moment that I realized that my tough layer was peeling off and my soft side had started coming out. I never knew I could panic like this until I met Hannah, but then I had no regrets because I was in love after all, and if loving Hannah was a crime, I would gladly go to prison. My head was aching, my heart was beating fast, and even in the air-conditioned hospital, I was still sweating profusely as I was walking. “Who was that?” Doctor Peter asked as soon as I put my phone inside my pocket. “Who?” “The person you just spoke to on the phone just now, I’m so sorry for invading your privacy, but I was just curious

Aaron’s POV “What you did was wrong! I’m very sure that in medical school, you were taught how to talk to your patients and treat them with maximum care and respect, and I’m also very sure that you must have heard the saying that says, Customers are always right.” I said this to the doctor."Well, only a customer who applies wisdom can be right. Not everyone can be right, you know?” He said it rudely.“Can you head that doctor, Peter? I mean, see how easily he is talking to me? Does he know who I am? And does he know who my mother is? Because it’s not even making sense anymore. I’m not just any kind of person that you can speak to anyhow, Mr. Man!” I shouted angrily. "Sorry, I’m Doctor Steven, not Mr. Man!” He corrected me sharply.“Keep that title to yourself. What’s the use of a title when we can’t see the efficiency of the person’s personality??” I yelled at him, raising my voice to this tone.“Mr. Aaron! Please relax and take it easy. Don’t forget that he is the one taking care

Aaron’s POV As we heard the knock on the door, everyone looked back to see who was knocking at the door. Everywhere was silent and no one said anything to the person that was knocking at the door, we all looked at each other’s faces as we just starred making facial gestures waiting for someone to talk. Doctor Peter and I focused our attention on the doctor since we were in his office, he should be able to answer the person that was knocking because it’s his guest and not my guest. So courtesy demands that he attends to whosoever it was. “Won’t you answer the person that is knocking?” Doctor Peter asked him. “That’s exactly what I wanted to say, thank you for asking him.” I added.“Are you expecting anyone?” The doctor asked me. “What sort of question is that? Are you suppped to be asking me question or you’re supposed to go and check who is at your door? What if it’s your nurse that is coming to tell you about a patient in an emergency situation?” I yelled. The person knocked aga

Aaron’s POV “Oh really is that the case?” Doctor Peter asked him sharply.“Yes that’s the case doc. You know how our work is, sometimes we just discover something that wasn’t there before and then we just have to treat the person with immediate effect to avoid any further complications.” The doctor added.“So what’s her blood group and genotype, so that we can find a donor who can help us with it.” Doctor Peter said. “Yeah. The donor has to be only her family member and no one else to avoid wrong combination or mismatch with her blood cell.” He said.“That’s where the problem is. There’s no family member that can donate for her.” I said, interrupting their conversation.“Ohh why? Will any mother ignore her daughter when she is dying and leave her alone when she can just donate her blood to save her daughter?” The doctor asked me out of curiosity.“That’s not it!”“Then what is it?” “There’s no family member!”“How?”“They’re all dead!!” I yelled l, putting my hands on my face in p

Aaron’s POV My heart was still racing fast, and I couldn’t stop thinking about Hannah because I didn’t know what was happening to her at that particular moment. I felt weak, and worry was written all over my face. I couldn’t even hide the fact that I was panicking. Doctor Peter kept thinking and scratching his head; he was lost in thought, and I began to wonder what was going on in his mind. I wasn’t sure if it was Hannah or if there was something else bothering him that he didn’t tell me.I couldn’t move close enough to ask him because I had to attend to Faith, who happened to be Hannah’s roommate and closest friend. She had been in the reception since, and I had not spoken a word to her, though she tried talking to me, but I just ignored her and told her to let me be for the main time so I could process my thoughts this time around. I couldn’t continue to think alone, and I had to just find someone to talk to so that I could relive myself from the fact that I was thinking and was

Hannah’s POV My eyes were still blurry and I could hardly see or hear anything that was going on in the hospital room, my ears were ringing like they were ringing bell in my ears and I was not able to breathe very well, I was feeling so uncomfortable and my mind was not at peace because I could hardly even balance well. The doctor was not in the hospital and no one was there for me to speak to me or say anything to me to the extent that it felt so lonely and scary for me as if I was dreaming and the things didn’t even look real to me. I saw flashes of my past and present, I saw the fire incident that happened in the past and I saw flashes of the accidents scene that took place. It was just flashes and I couldn’t even understand everything that I saw because I didn’t see very clearly, it was just bit by bit that I was being shown. “Hello!!! Aaron’s POVThe low hum of the city filtered in through the windows as I sat in my office, staring at the paperwork spread out in front of me. The numbers blurred together, and I realized, for the first time in a long while, I was finding it impossible to concentrate.I leaned back in my chair, running a hand over my face. I’d been doing everything I could to keep things running smoothly at Spears Real Estate, especially after the chaos of Hanna’s kidnapping and the media storm that followed. But no matter how hard I tried to keep my head in the game, my thoughts always drifted back to her.Hanna.She’d been staying at my place ever since the hospital released her, and though she was physically healing, I could tell she was still struggling emotionally. The trauma from what Michael put her through was something that wasn’t going to fade overnight. But that wasn’t the only thing on her mind. I knew she was trying to figure out where she fit in my life—if she even had a place there. And

Hanna’s POVI had thought that once I was back on my feet, things would start feeling normal again. But standing here in Aaron’s penthouse, watching the city lights blink outside the window, it was clear that "normal" was nowhere in sight. Not after everything that happened with Michael. It had been a few weeks since I’d been released from the hospital, and while my body was healing, my mind was far from it. I still woke up in the middle of the night, heart pounding in my chest, haunted by the sound of Michael’s voice and the feel of cold steel against my skin. But even worse were the thoughts that followed—thoughts about Aaron, about what we’d become after all of this.Aaron had been nothing but supportive, always there when I needed him. He had gone from cold and distant to someone I could rely on, someone who made me feel safe in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. But that safety came with complications. The more time I spent around him, the harder it was to ignore the growing ten

Aaron’s POVThe elevator doors slid shut behind me with a soft click, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I stared at my reflection in the polished metal, the dark circles under my eyes and the tightness in my jaw a testament to how much weight I’d been carrying lately. I looked like hell, but that didn’t matter right now. Not when Hanna was upstairs, resting, still healing from the trauma she had just gone through. And now, as if dealing with Michael hadn’t been enough, Maureen had reappeared, dragging her own shadow over everything. She had come to my home—Hanna’s temporary refuge—to check on her. Or so she said. But I knew better. Maureen was never one to act out of kindness or concern. There was always an agenda.I could still hear her voice, calm and composed, as she had stood in the hallway only moments ago, trying to justify her involvement with Michael. "It was never part of the plan for her to get hurt," she had said, as if that made everything better.I clenched my fists, a

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 148: Healing Together

Hanna’s POV The soft murmur of voices outside the bedroom filtered through the door, but I couldn’t bring myself to move. Every inch of my body ached, bruises blooming across my skin, a cruel reminder of how close I had come to losing everything. I shifted slightly in the bed, wincing as a sharp pain shot through my ribs. The bedroom was dim, the only light coming from a small bedside lamp casting a soft glow over the plush surroundings. Aaron’s apartment—no, his sanctuary—was a far cry from the cold, sterile hospital room I had woken up in earlier. He had insisted on bringing me here the moment the doctors cleared me for release, refusing to let me spend another night under harsh fluorescent lights and beeping monitors. I was grateful, but I couldn’t shake the heavyness in my chest. I hadn’t just escaped Michael’s grasp; I’d barely clawed my way out, and the cost was starting to weigh on me. Everything felt surreal. I was safe now—at least, physically—but my mind kept replaying

Hanna’s POVThe night air hit me like a cold slap, jolting me back to reality as my lungs burned with every gasping breath. My legs ached, but I kept running. I didn’t have a destination in mind—just the desperate urge to get away from Michael. The knife was still clutched tightly in my hand, and I could feel its weight grounding me, a reminder that I had finally fought back. But as I rounded the corner of the building, a crushing thought stopped me in my tracks. Aaron. I had left Aaron behind. What was freedom without him?My feet skidded to a halt, and I leaned against the brick wall, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst. How could I have run? I had left Aaron alone in that room with Michael, with a man who was out of his mind. Michael wouldn’t stop at anything. He was dangerous, and now Aaron was at his mercy.I pressed a hand to my chest, trying to calm the panic that was rising inside me, but the fear wouldn’t let up. Images of Aaron—bleeding, hurt, or worse—floode

HANNA As I emerged from behind the dumpster, Aaron's eyes locked onto mine, filled with relief and concern. His face, etched with worry, softened as he took in my disheveled appearance. I collapsed into his arms, tears streaming down my face, as the weight of our ordeal finally began to lift."Thank God you're safe," he whispered, holding me tightly. His warm breath against my ear sent shivers down my spine, but this time it was a comforting sensation. I felt protected, sheltered from the horrors we'd faced. The sirens and chaos surrounding us faded into the background as I buried my face in his chest, letting the steady beat of his heart calm my own racing pulse. We stood there for what felt like an eternity, the only sound being our ragged breathing. Aaron's hands cradled my face, his thumbs wiping away my tears as he searched my eyes for any sign of hurt. I knew he was looking for more than physical wounds; he was searching for the emotional scars that Michael had inflicted. I tri

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 145: Escape Plan 2

Hanna’s POVMy heart raced in my chest as I felt the weight of the knife in my hand. The cold steel was both a comfort and a curse. I had finally found a way to fight back, but I wasn’t sure how far I was willing to go to protect myself. Michael’s eyes widened in shock as he took a step back, his hand pressed against the wound. “Are you insane?” he hissed, a mix of disbelief and anger in his voice. The blood seeped through his fingers, staining the fabric of his shirt. “Let me go, Michael,” I said, my voice steady despite the chaos swirling inside me. “This is over.”He took another cautious step back, assessing the situation, but I could see the anger boiling in his eyes. “You think you can just stab me and walk out of here?” he spat, a cruel smile creeping across his face. “You don’t understand who you’re dealing with.”“I understand perfectly,” I shot back, my grip tightening on the knife. “I know you’re a coward who thinks he can control everything with fear. But not anymore.”M

Hanna’s POV“Are you done?” Micheal askedMy eyes were on the keys he had hooked to his belt buckle, the keys to the door.I nodded and pushed the plate of half-eaten steak towards him.I held my breath and watched his face for a reaction as he picked up the plate and left the room nothing. He hadn’t noticed anything, great. I slid the knife out ofmy pocket and held the sharp edge to the wires binding my arms. It was extremely uncomfortable having to hold the handle with my fingertips while trying to cut through the wires.Fortunately, it was slowly making a dent, but it was torture seeing how slow it was. I was starting to lose hope in using the knife when I heard footsteps approaching, and I hurriedly slid the knife underneath my buttocks and sat on it. Michael returned back, this time with my phone to his ear. He was talking to someone, and there was a satisfied grin on his face. Had Faith managed to get him what he wanted? I felt bad for her; she was dragged into all this simply
