As the clock was ticking, Aaron started to become more relaxed . His face was filled with smiles and his laughter was from within. He got my attention and the more I was with him I felt relaxed and excited.

When we were done with dinner, we headed outside, the weather was cold and perfect for the night. The cool air was gentle on my skin in contrast to the warmth from Aaron's presence. We walked for some time till we saw a bench under a large oak tree. We sat down, holding hands and the leaves rustling gently around us.

There was a comfortable silence as we sat there, a lot of things going through our minds and also enjoying each other's company.

“I really enjoyed your time with me,” Aaron said, staring at me with so much sincerity that made my heart to flutter. “I'm glad you made my day”

“Me too,” I replied, my heart pounding. “I never thought you could be this calm and nice.” The transformation from the arrogant, aloof man to this calm man is still surprising.

HannaThe following day, after I woke up from sleep, I was very excited because of the previous day. I felt fulfilled. At that point, I needed someone close to talk to, and the one and only closest person I was in touch with came to my mind. I remembered Faith, my roommate and best friend, and decided to go to her room. Faith was rummaging through her wardrobe, trying to get ready for work. She seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, probably because she had overslept due to our late-night talks the night before. We hadn't talked much the previous night because we were both exhausted from our respective busy days. I had been on cloud nine after my date with Aaron, and Faith had been buried under piles of paperwork for a major project at her job. “Hey, girl! How’re you doing?” I greeted her just as we normally did, leaning against the doorframe.“Hey, Hanna! There's so.much to do at work as usual, but it’s actually for the best. What’s up?” Faith replied, her voice sounding a bit weak as

HannaAaron asked me over for a dinner with his mom one a Friday night. Since this was supposed to be our very first meeting, I was aware of the importance of the meeting to me and Aaron. He was usually very admiring when he talked about his mother. I was delighted to meet the lady who had raised the guy I was rapidly falling in love with, even though I was a little frightened. That evening my phone rang just as I was about to step out for some fresh air. "Hello, Hanna! I just wanted to remind you that we're having dinner at my family house tonight." Aaron remarked, "I believe it would be a great chance for you and my mom to connect, and get to know each other better ." I could sense the hope in his voice, despite his attempt to be informal.I smiled, realizing how delighted I was. "Absolutely Aaron! Thats a very nice idea.... I can't wait to meet your mom." I responded with a thrilling smile on my face.My emotions began to jangle later that evening as we made our way to Aaron's apa

Hannah’s Pov As we stepped out of the house that particular day, my chest was beating so fast and it looked like I was going to enter into the ground out of anxiety and panic. The way Aaron’s mother spoke to me was uncalled for and I could relate from the standpoint of a woman that she wanted her son to date nothing but the best. But then it sounded really harsh to me with the way she spoke to me without withdrawing her words or cautioning the way that she spoke to me. I also understood that she must have been feeling like a mother figure that’s why she spoke like that because she felt that she could talk to me as if I was just a daughter to her. Nevertheless I was soon start dating her son and at least I deserved some respect no matter how small it could be. I couldn’t do anything because of Aaron, I could see his facial expressions when his mother was talking he didn’t look okay with the words she was spilling out from her mouth but as a son he couldn’t shut his mother up when s

Hannah’s Pov As I was seating in the car, it made some strange sounds that made me panick at first but the driver assured me that it was just a mere noise from the car’s engine due to the faulty steering wheel. I wanted to alight immediately I heard what he told me but I maintained my composure and just remain seated holding myself. After we moved a little, another person stopped the cab and the driver picked up the person who had used his hands to wave as a signal for him to stop and carry the person. The passenger was a man who was smelling like a dead body and I wondered where he was coming from that made him so stinking and disgusting at that particular point in time but since he was a stranger and a mere passenger that paid for his space I couldn’t challenge him or say anything that would cause fight between us. I was a gentle lady who maintains her boundary and avoids any disrespect or maltreatment from anyone else who comes my way. The smell was too strong for me to withsta

Hannah’s Pov As things continued the way it was, it looked like it was my last day on earth because everything seemed futile and the fight against my life was a very serious one for me because I could only feel myself in my state of comma and my unconscious self was really hitting me so deep that I couldn’t help it, it felt like I was dead already because I couldn’t see anything but I could only hear everything that people were saying at that accident scene in that particular time where it took place in that day.“Help them! Help them!” One of the passersby shouted loudly. “What’s going on here?” Another woman shouted, moving closer to our car that was jammed by anothe car.“This is not the time for questions, let’s take them to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment before it’s too late.” The man replied her.I was bleeding from my forehead after I hit my head on the iron part of the car and then I was stained with blood including the other man that was seated beside me who was

Hannah’s Pov As the young man was driving the car, he moved at a very high speed due to the condition he found himself in and he was desperate to save our lives from being dead even though we looked like dead bodies and as if our souls were lost, he still pressed on hoping for a miracle to happen in the hospital to save our life. The old man was seating beside him and our bodies were at the back seat while the old woman followed another car at our back on the way to the hospital, Since there was no space for her that was why she could not stay in the same car with usThe car was stinking and smelling of blood and sweat, blood from our bodies and sweat from the men that were in the front seat. The car seemed so stuffy and polluted by those things but still there was a glimmer of hope that something good could happen to us at the long run. The hope was cut short when something unexpected happened to us while lying lifeless in the back seat of an SUV. It was the police man that were o

Hannah’s Pov The issue continued, and everything was going the wrong way because nobody expected things to turn out the way they did, so it left a huge hole in the hearts of those men who wanted to help us by taking us to the hospital, but unfortunately for them, the police arrested them for murder and kidnapping innocent citizens. Hadn't they been able to see the future, they would not have carried our bodies and would have gently left us there to die in no time. One of the reasons why the young man was so restless was because he checked our pulse and saw that we were still alive. He still touched our chests to see if our hearts were still beating, and yes, our hearts were still beating to show that we were still alive. He tried all his possible best to save a life, but all his efforts went down the drain. Fast forward to the ambulance bus; we were still in there in a state of coma as they drove us to a hospital.“Please treat this as urgent!! These patients must not die.” One of

Hannah’s Pov As Aaron entered the hospital, his eyes were darting to and fro from the entrance to the corridors to the reception. With his associates walking in with him in their suited uniforms and frowning faces, Aaron was not smiling, nor was the associate smiling at anyone they met.By looking at Aaron, one could easily tell that he was so angry and upset about the ongoing situation. His eyes were red, and he clenched his fist like someone who was ready to blow someone. I could feel his pain and the shock he got when he heard that someone who left his house about an hour ago was announced to be in the hospital. It was a traumatic experience for him, and as a man, he had to maintain his composure because, if I were the one, I might have gone mad or become mentally unstable.Aaron was so restless, and his heart was beating faster than usual, and a little drop of sweat was coming out of his sweat pores, which showed how anxious he was in the hospital environment. He was a tough man,

Aaron’s POVThe low hum of the city filtered in through the windows as I sat in my office, staring at the paperwork spread out in front of me. The numbers blurred together, and I realized, for the first time in a long while, I was finding it impossible to concentrate.I leaned back in my chair, running a hand over my face. I’d been doing everything I could to keep things running smoothly at Spears Real Estate, especially after the chaos of Hanna’s kidnapping and the media storm that followed. But no matter how hard I tried to keep my head in the game, my thoughts always drifted back to her.Hanna.She’d been staying at my place ever since the hospital released her, and though she was physically healing, I could tell she was still struggling emotionally. The trauma from what Michael put her through was something that wasn’t going to fade overnight. But that wasn’t the only thing on her mind. I knew she was trying to figure out where she fit in my life—if she even had a place there. And

Hanna’s POVI had thought that once I was back on my feet, things would start feeling normal again. But standing here in Aaron’s penthouse, watching the city lights blink outside the window, it was clear that "normal" was nowhere in sight. Not after everything that happened with Michael. It had been a few weeks since I’d been released from the hospital, and while my body was healing, my mind was far from it. I still woke up in the middle of the night, heart pounding in my chest, haunted by the sound of Michael’s voice and the feel of cold steel against my skin. But even worse were the thoughts that followed—thoughts about Aaron, about what we’d become after all of this.Aaron had been nothing but supportive, always there when I needed him. He had gone from cold and distant to someone I could rely on, someone who made me feel safe in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. But that safety came with complications. The more time I spent around him, the harder it was to ignore the growing ten

Aaron’s POVThe elevator doors slid shut behind me with a soft click, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I stared at my reflection in the polished metal, the dark circles under my eyes and the tightness in my jaw a testament to how much weight I’d been carrying lately. I looked like hell, but that didn’t matter right now. Not when Hanna was upstairs, resting, still healing from the trauma she had just gone through. And now, as if dealing with Michael hadn’t been enough, Maureen had reappeared, dragging her own shadow over everything. She had come to my home—Hanna’s temporary refuge—to check on her. Or so she said. But I knew better. Maureen was never one to act out of kindness or concern. There was always an agenda.I could still hear her voice, calm and composed, as she had stood in the hallway only moments ago, trying to justify her involvement with Michael. "It was never part of the plan for her to get hurt," she had said, as if that made everything better.I clenched my fists, a

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 148: Healing Together

Hanna’s POV The soft murmur of voices outside the bedroom filtered through the door, but I couldn’t bring myself to move. Every inch of my body ached, bruises blooming across my skin, a cruel reminder of how close I had come to losing everything. I shifted slightly in the bed, wincing as a sharp pain shot through my ribs. The bedroom was dim, the only light coming from a small bedside lamp casting a soft glow over the plush surroundings. Aaron’s apartment—no, his sanctuary—was a far cry from the cold, sterile hospital room I had woken up in earlier. He had insisted on bringing me here the moment the doctors cleared me for release, refusing to let me spend another night under harsh fluorescent lights and beeping monitors. I was grateful, but I couldn’t shake the heavyness in my chest. I hadn’t just escaped Michael’s grasp; I’d barely clawed my way out, and the cost was starting to weigh on me. Everything felt surreal. I was safe now—at least, physically—but my mind kept replaying

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 147: Desperate Moves

Hanna’s POVThe night air hit me like a cold slap, jolting me back to reality as my lungs burned with every gasping breath. My legs ached, but I kept running. I didn’t have a destination in mind—just the desperate urge to get away from Michael. The knife was still clutched tightly in my hand, and I could feel its weight grounding me, a reminder that I had finally fought back. But as I rounded the corner of the building, a crushing thought stopped me in my tracks. Aaron. I had left Aaron behind. What was freedom without him?My feet skidded to a halt, and I leaned against the brick wall, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst. How could I have run? I had left Aaron alone in that room with Michael, with a man who was out of his mind. Michael wouldn’t stop at anything. He was dangerous, and now Aaron was at his mercy.I pressed a hand to my chest, trying to calm the panic that was rising inside me, but the fear wouldn’t let up. Images of Aaron—bleeding, hurt, or worse—floode

HANNA As I emerged from behind the dumpster, Aaron's eyes locked onto mine, filled with relief and concern. His face, etched with worry, softened as he took in my disheveled appearance. I collapsed into his arms, tears streaming down my face, as the weight of our ordeal finally began to lift."Thank God you're safe," he whispered, holding me tightly. His warm breath against my ear sent shivers down my spine, but this time it was a comforting sensation. I felt protected, sheltered from the horrors we'd faced. The sirens and chaos surrounding us faded into the background as I buried my face in his chest, letting the steady beat of his heart calm my own racing pulse. We stood there for what felt like an eternity, the only sound being our ragged breathing. Aaron's hands cradled my face, his thumbs wiping away my tears as he searched my eyes for any sign of hurt. I knew he was looking for more than physical wounds; he was searching for the emotional scars that Michael had inflicted. I tri

Hanna’s POVMy heart raced in my chest as I felt the weight of the knife in my hand. The cold steel was both a comfort and a curse. I had finally found a way to fight back, but I wasn’t sure how far I was willing to go to protect myself. Michael’s eyes widened in shock as he took a step back, his hand pressed against the wound. “Are you insane?” he hissed, a mix of disbelief and anger in his voice. The blood seeped through his fingers, staining the fabric of his shirt. “Let me go, Michael,” I said, my voice steady despite the chaos swirling inside me. “This is over.”He took another cautious step back, assessing the situation, but I could see the anger boiling in his eyes. “You think you can just stab me and walk out of here?” he spat, a cruel smile creeping across his face. “You don’t understand who you’re dealing with.”“I understand perfectly,” I shot back, my grip tightening on the knife. “I know you’re a coward who thinks he can control everything with fear. But not anymore.”M

Hanna’s POV“Are you done?” Micheal askedMy eyes were on the keys he had hooked to his belt buckle, the keys to the door.I nodded and pushed the plate of half-eaten steak towards him.I held my breath and watched his face for a reaction as he picked up the plate and left the room nothing. He hadn’t noticed anything, great. I slid the knife out ofmy pocket and held the sharp edge to the wires binding my arms. It was extremely uncomfortable having to hold the handle with my fingertips while trying to cut through the wires.Fortunately, it was slowly making a dent, but it was torture seeing how slow it was. I was starting to lose hope in using the knife when I heard footsteps approaching, and I hurriedly slid the knife underneath my buttocks and sat on it. Michael returned back, this time with my phone to his ear. He was talking to someone, and there was a satisfied grin on his face. Had Faith managed to get him what he wanted? I felt bad for her; she was dragged into all this simply
