In the gloomy, spacious room among strange artefacts, stone furniture and unusual architecture of embossed wall prints and luminous blue light lamps, the thing that stand out the most to Lindsey is the unusual sword monument situated at the far end of the room. To a massive block of stone, a sword is thrust. From the looks of it, the heavy blue bladed sword wrapped in cobwebs had spent many centuries plunged in there, waiting for its Arthur or so as Lindsey imagined. It had curious carving on the blade, the profile of a lightning, Lindsey deduced.

Lindsey settled on her knee before it and studied the inscription written on the stone but to no avail as the language was scripted in alien characters. Although it had a little bit of similarity to the Atlantean language but the correlation would not make sense, she decided for now.

She sighed and looked around for other things of interest in the chamber. Somehow, the feel of the room reminded her of the temple room in the A

Four sleek WDF spacefighters landed on the spacious grounds of the Kinski farmland against the light of dawn breaking in the horizon. Four pilots emerged from each of the cockpits and reported to Lieutenant Phil Wilson on the field with a salute."They are all 2-seaters, sir," informed one of the young private."Good. We will be leaving immediately," said Phil. Turning to Alec, he asked, "Is she not done yet?"*******"Hey, Miss Kinski, the fetchers are here. Aren't you done getting ready yet? I can hear the lieutenant roaring in my head, just so you know," Sanders called out from outside of Ava's bedroom door. Still no response."Uh.... just so you know, we are not going to a fancy party,"Silence. He shrugged and squatted onto the floor. 'I didn't think women like her can still have feminine quirks,' he muttered to himself."Master Ava is not in there," S25 said as she was pass

Somewhere round the coordinates of Earth space are the vanguards of WDF spacefighters ships strategically positioned everywhere, Lt Phil Wilson and his men knew all too well. But the view from the exteriors of their cockpits had been nothing but the seemingly peaceful blanket of stars for the past couple of hours.Ava had successfully eluded them all - the three men realised. They had flown in silence for most of the 3 hours in space, their ships flying at their max hyperspeed of 30 kiometers per second, waiting for a command from HQ for their unprecedented situation, knowing that the enemy fleet is just a couple of hours trajectory from where they are, probably aware, in one way or another, of the rogue Earth unit that seemed to be headed their way. But there have been no movement from the adversaries as far as their radars are concerned...so far. They are probably just waiting with their guns for these trivial pursuers to appear within sight and annihilate, Alec thought. What a sens

The three pilots slammed their speeding ships to an abrupt halt as they took in the uncanny scene all around them, their vessels shifting to its humanoid form as they did, but watched as Ava's ship sped its way to the fortress. Then they looked up as the swarm of ships above them began to break up and dislodge in a downward motion as the Zhinras advanced swiftly to intercept them from below. The three men quickly realised they are witnesses to an unprecedented war erupting.Firepower flared from each of the clashing side. To the young men, never has the silence of space been so deafening in a scene so violent and aggressive. They have fought the Zhinras before -- but not like this. In the initial few seconds of the clash, a number of ships, possibly a hundred, had already gone into flames or decapitated - most of which are numbers from the new arrivals. The Zhinras, as the men could see, were strangely on the defensive side and are heavily outnumbered - a role Earth forces had always

The mother fortress looked like a massive, basalt rock in space - a clear-cut, uncomplicated structure, so marvelled Alec, Phil and Sanders. Like a nicely carved out piece of an asteroid that broke off. They watched as the ship opened up to receive them, a huge mouth into what appears to be the hangar, beckoning them inside. Ava's ship had gone in first and the boys followed suit in their spacefighters, into this dark space tunnel. As the hangar gates begin to slid back to a close, effectively separating them from the vacuum of space as well as their pursuers which the Zhinra fighters had engaged on their behalf, the sound of machinery grinding and whirring invaded their senses, even in the comfort of their cockpits. They all switched into their battlesuit mode and floated on, sans thrusters, towards the light at the end of the tunnel."Guys, I know this is pretty much an inappropriate feeling right now, but I am pretty much amazed to be inside an enemy ship rig

"Alec, No -" called Phil in a vain attempt to stop Alec. But Alec had already made his maneuver. He ducked and turned, avoiding the brunt of the spear that was pointed at his back, and kicked the soldier who was directly behind him above the knees sending it staggering a few steps back.Sanders, grinning, joined in the fighting stance. "C'mon, lieutenant! Three against two, it's gonna be a cinch. And we've fought hand to hand with these guys before, they suck.""You don't have to join in, Lieutenant, Sanders, but I am going to save Lindsey," Alec told them."Alec, you are a pain. Fine, let's get on with it," said Phil as he curled his hands into a fist. And the three men readied themselves as the two soldiers came at them...*********"They're trying to escape! They heard you, Lindseymiles!" Garullo was telling the girl what he is seeing in his mind's eye currently."They are? I'm gonna get rescued!" She cried gleefully. She could hear muffled thumps, groans, and yells from outside. I

The ship is a complex maze of rundown passageways. Lightings that lined the halls provide sparse and choppy illumination. The air is musty and the dark, stonewalls and floors dry. The walls seemed to be made of concrete instead of metals and stuff. If they didn't know any better, they would think that they're running around inside a very huge dark, dismal gothic castle somewhere in Scotland that seemed all deserted.Garullo was ahead of them with sure steps, his antennas moving and shifting about. Lindsey had to surmise that his navigating ability is rendered by those antennas---a biological sensor, or something more complex than that. Maybe they really are a race born to explore and navigate this universe more than any one else can, she thought.Luckily for the past half an hour they haven't run across any Zhinra. It seems that their escape hasn't been discovered yet as an alert is not evident. They locked the three Zhinras back in the chamber to make sure they won't

It was already evident in the air that the entire gargantuan ship had now been alerted of their escape attempt."They're everywhere now, in every path," Garullo announced. "It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a way around,""If that's the case, then we have no choice but to try and get past them," lead Phil."Yeah, the sword will do the job!' said Sanders.Phil grunted. "We should not underestimate them,""Well, there is no other way," said Alec."We can always engage in hand to hand combat if we need to," said Phil. They reached a narrow iron bridge that cross a wide canal of running water reservoir underneath it, to their sheer amazement, through to a staircase in the end.As soon as they made to halfway through the bridge, a lanky, walking machine of some kind with weapons for arms emerged from behind them and began chase fast. Alec knew he will have to stand in its way if the others are to make it to the other side."I'll hold it off! Go, hurry!" Alec shouted.Alec turn t

Ava found herself being escorted towards a close huge metal door. The guards then pushed it open, slightly illumining the dark room inside."You may enter," ordered one of the guards. She stepped inside without hesitation. The door closed behind her, engulfing her in darkness. She felt compelled to walk a little further and stopped when she felt she had to.Suddenly the lights came on---dim lights from a few hanging chandeliers above the ceiling. She found herself in a spacious hall. There was a large, round platform in front of her. Soon the lights went out, plunging her into searing darkness again. But there was something soothing to it all --- to this darkness. The detached feeling from the world, from reality, brought about a feeling of solitude to her. Hiding in the shadows had always been her solitude.Strange sounds came to her, the sound of moving walls. Then the room lit up once again, not from the chandeliers but from bright blue lights that flared from the center of the rou

As Matthew lay there in the silent hut, the caretaker ambled about, digging through loads of ingredients. June sat there, staring at Matthew. The hut was warm and was bathed in light; the light was so strong it managed to travel straight through the walls of the med hut, flooding it to the brim. June started to feel a little tired as she let put a yawn. She slowly settled herself down to her side next to Matthew. She felt a little awkward though. As haven't been mentioned, Matthew had to be bandaged, so his shirt and jacket had to be removed, and now the lower half of his upper body was bandaged, but June didn't care, she simply lay there. As she waited patiently for herself to fall asleep, she stared at Matthew, hoping to see those dazzling eyes she had been hoping to see. Turning to her back, June was now staring at the blank ceiling. There were just so many thoughts in her head, like how Suka was doing, whether Atlantis would be protected, if they would even win. Just as she was ab

As the sails drew nearer and nearer towards the shore of Satilant Island, Matthew raced past the trees as June followed. He ran back to the tree with the carved symbols."This could be leading us to Atlantis. Look! There's another tree with the symbol," Matthew said as he followed. There was a trail of trees with the symbols carved on them, leading the two all the way to the other side of the island. They stopped by a tree, which was the last one with the symbol; beyond that was just a huge stone wall."What now?" June asked."There should be a gap somewhere where we could put the tooth." Matthew said as he dragged his hand across the wall, trying to feel a gap. Suddenly he felt an edge. He looked at where his hand was at. There was a gap, shaped of a tooth."June! Look! This is it!" Matthew gasped excitedly. In a hurry, he pushed the tooth into the gap. Nothing. He pressed against the tooth. It seemed like a button, for a huge hole appeared beneath the two; and the next moment they w

As the villagers packed the entire village with meat and vegetables everywhere, Matthew and June sat in Suka's house, questioning him.“...then how did you get that?” Matthew pointed at the tooth-like souvenir with the symbol of water."This, Matthew."Suka placed the necklace in Matthew's hand."Is the only key to open what covers Atlantis. It's a secret door, no one knows about it except me and my tribe. The door will lead to a very secret part of the island which is highly protected. Look for the missing hole which will fit this key perfectly."Matthew stared at the tooth with great interest. He looked up," Wait- you're saying I can keep it?"Suka nodded."I need a break from being the guardian of this secret location, might as well step down and pass it on."June gasped with excitement as she hugged Matthew's left arm tightly. He looked at her and smiled; he looked back at Suka."Thank you," he said warmly yet gratefully. Suka nodded.Outside the hut, Matthew and June joined the f

Matthew, Alexander and June set a campfire by the shores, but they made sure it wasn't too near to the water. They thought that if they rested near water, they'll somehow end up in the next level of finding Atlantis. The waves gently brushed against the sand. June lay peacefully sleeping on a huge leaf. Matthew lay beside her, whereas Alexander would rather sleep on his own than sleep on the same leaf with gits.Matthew still lay wide awake, resting his head on his hands, staring into the starry sky. All he could do was just lay there and do nothing until he falls asleep. June tossed to the other direction facing him. Matthew knew that she was probably still awake."June? " he whispered. June opened her eyes and looked at Matthew, dazed."Is anything wrong?" June asked."No," Matthew sighed, "I was just wonder if you were awake.""Yeah I'm awake." June said as she sat up; Matthew sat up too."I was wondering, well—if you'd like to take a stroll around the island since we have nothing

Matthew tried really hard to ignore the cursing from Alexander as he made his way through the bushes."Okay," he turned to Alexander who abruptly stopped his muttering. Matthew continued, "make sure you act normal. Try to blend in with the others- okay?""Yeah yeah alright whatever let's just get this done and over with." Alexander said grumpily and continued his muttering as he stepped into the clearing.Matthew and Alexander were wearing animal skins as disguise and blend in. Matthew decided he should look for June, so he disguised himself as much as he can. Now he looked completely unrecognisable as his face was entirely covered in some stuff he had puffed onto his face and his head was covered buy a round band of leaves and he was covered in bear skin. He drew fake scars on his arms and one long one across his right eye. He practiced changing his voice so the leader wouldn't recognise him by voice. He also went to a river nearby to change his hairstyle. When Matthew returned to th

Opening his eyes, Alexander found himself in a little hut. The roof was built out of straw and the door in front of him was made out of bamboo. He curiously sat up and shook his head till he got back to Earth."Where on Earth am I?" he asked himself grumpily. Just then a door opened and a figure walked in. A man dressed in thick animal-skin clothing was in sight."Who are you and why did you bring me here?" Alexander demanded. The man stepped closer and closer to him. Alexander gulped, doubting his chance of living...Cutting through the bushes, Matthew and June went all over the place looking for Alexander."Alexander? Alexander! Alexander, where are you?"' Alexander! Come on, if you're hiding this isn't funny! '"Alexander!- June where is he?""I don't know." June said, looking as though she was tempted to give up."It's almost nightfall. We'll have to work a little faster." Matthew said, looking at the sea which was now a shade of orange. They continued searching: looking behind t

Opening his eyes, Matthew found himself covered in sand. He sat bolt up, spitting out sand from his mouth. Dazed, he looked around. There was no sign of June, Alexander, or any of the men."June! Alexander?! Anyone!" he yelled. The only reply was the soft wind as the waves pushed themselves off the shore back into the ocean repeatedly. Matthew squinted at those waves, he noticed a slight movement. Heart thumping fast with hope, he stumbled clumsily to his feet and ran towards where he saw the movement."June!" he breathed as he turned June around, who was laying on her stomach. Staring at her silent face, Matthew thought of doing CPR, but his worried thoughts made him feel too weird to even rest his hands on her chest. With his hopes going higher and higher, Matthew pressed an ear against June's chest. Nothing. She isn't breathing, what now? Matthew thought urgently. Having no choice, he pressed his hands on top of each other, his fingers dug in between the fingers of the hand below a

Hearing the soft, long groaning of boredom and exhaustion from June, Matthew gulped as he peered into the horizons beyond the coastal line. He forgot how it was like to feel the breeze, brushing his hair back, the fresh smell filling the air as he took a deep breath. The next moment he found himself miles away from the equal rows of piers, all he saw now was water; high above water. The ship moved at a moderate speed as he ambled over to the other side of the ship to settle down next to June, who was resting her head on her hand, frowning into the distance."You forgot what it's like," Matthew began. June didn't answer. He continued, "I also forgot what it's like to be out here. In the breeze, watching the sun peaceful set down to the horizon."Hearing the last few words June looked up, she looked from Matthew then to the sun, which was getting ready to make its way down to the horizon as Matthew had said."Being out in the seas is way more fun than to hang around in the city." Tossing her phone onto the bed, a young girl of 20 years ambled out of her room and plopped on to the sofa in the living room. It was really peaceful for her- almost- for her peace was rudely disturbed by a voice that called out shrilly, "June! Where's my pen?"A six year- old stomped like an elephant into the living room and glared at her sister."What is it now?" June groaned as she turned to her sister, her ponytail swayed to a side wildly as she turned to her sister, Jacie.June Calloway looked extremely beautiful with brown eyes which matched her dark brown hair, every boy would've fallen for her at the first glance. Her sister, Jacie Calloway, on the other hand, looked as though she could fight a whole pack of lions single-handedly, but most of the time, she seemed pretty helpful and encouraging."My pen!" she demanded."I don't know, okay? I didn't take it!" June snapped, "Besides, that pen looks really bizarre! Is it even a plane or a dinosaur?""No it's not! It was given by t
