Chapter 24

Blake:

I laid my head on Natalia’s lap as she ran her fingers through my hair, while she scrolled through her phone, reading or texting.

I came back from work exhausted and drained while she was already at home a while before I arrived. The two of us have been on our bed since after dinner, and she has been massaging my forehead or running her fingers through my hair in an attempt to help me relax since then.

“You need to take things easy on yourself, Blake. You’ll end up getting sick, and believe me; no one wants that” she said gently. Water poured from her finger, wetting my hair, and lowering my body temperature. She tended to do that when she felt like my body was too hot for it to be normal, and as a wolf; my temperature was higher than that of a human.
