Chapter 7

SOPHIA'S POV:

“Are you finished talking with them Sophia?” He ask me.

“Yeah we are finished. You can go now If you want. And please come again soon.” Raelyna says.

“Yeah you all could stay here before you return to Russia but you didn’t listen.” Father says.

“Yeah I’m gonna miss my daughter.” Mother says.

They all are acting like they care about me. But it’s all fake. All they want is money.

“Let’s go”  Alex says as he open the car door. Father along with sister Alya and aunt sussie went home a few minutes ago.

I go in the car and then the car start to move. I can see the face of my family on the car's mirror.

My sister with an disappoint face , my brother who’s angry and my parents with not so happy face.

 The car ride is silent. It’s so awkward. Should i start speaking? But what should i speak about. I’m not very good at speaking with people properly.

“Are you sad. Do you miss your family?”  Alex says.

“Um..n-no..I don’t have any reason for being sad.” I said mumbling. Alex give me a strange look after hearing my answer.

“A-anyway... I didn’t saw your mother at the wedding” I ask him changing the topic.

“That’s because my mother died a long time ago"  Alex replied

“Oh sorry to ask. I didn’t mean to pray. It’s just I was a bit curious” I asked him

“No it’s fine. You  have the right to know. You are now the part of our family.” He replied smiling a bit.

“Rosie Graica also isn’t your biological mother right?” Alex asked

“Yes that’s right. My mother died when I was 5.” I replied

“So we are like same huh. Both of our mother is dead"  He ask me chuckle a  little.

I don’t know if we are same. I don’t know if he’s abused and tortured by his family members at home like me. But they look good people.

“Don’t worry about these things” He says again.

“Yes..thanks” I replied

“You can call me Alex by the way.” He says.

“Can I ask you a question if you don’t mind?” I ask him

“Sure what it is?” Alex replied.

“Why you hide your face from public? Because of this there is so nasty rumours about you...”   i ask curiously.

“ I just don’t want to. And I don’t care about the rumours anyway.” Alex replied smiling a bit.

After we chat a bit. From what I hear, I learn that he finished his university last year.  After finishing he start to take care of his father’s business and become the CEO of it.

“Speaking of university, from which university you graduate?”  Alex ask me

“I-I didn’t finish my college.”   I replied meekly and feeling a bit ashamed.

“ Do you want to start studying again?” Alex ask out of no where

“Huh..what do you mean?”  I think i hear him wrong

“ I’m saying that if you want to start study I can ENROLL you into a university.”  He says again

“I want to..But Can I?”  I ask after a lot of hesitation.

“Sure if you want I can arrange in Russia”   He replied

“Won’t your family mind if i study..”  I ask.

“No don’t worry they are understanding”   he replied.

After a while we reach at home. It’s a two storied duplex house. There's  a beautiful garden in front  of the house. I can see aunt Susie waiting at the door.

“ Um Who’s aunt Susie?”  I ask

“Oh aunt Susie take care of us after our mother died. She’s like a family to us" Alex replied.

“Oh I see” I replied.

I get out from the car and head towards where aunt Susie is. Since I didn’t talk with her at the wedding ceremony.

“Hello aunt Susie it’s nice meeting you. I couldn’t talk with you at the ceremony. Please take care of me"  I told her politely

“Sure honey think us as your own family. Now go to room and get changed. You must be tired.” Aunt Susie replied while there’s a soft smile on her face. She maybe in her late 50s.

Alex leads me towards our bedroom. It’s on the 2^nd floor. It's a beautiful big room. There’s a beauty bed in the middle. A small walk in closet along with a reading table. I don’t had any furniture like this at my home.

It’s already past eight p.m.

“Get change into something comfortable and then we’ll go downstairs to eat dinner.”  Alex says.

“Okay..” I took a long sleeve tops with full pants. Then we went to eat dinner.

When we went to the dinning room food is already served there. The food is still hot. I could never eat warm food. Mom and dad would get angry if they found me in the dinning room during breakfast dinner or lunch.

We take our seats. After a while father, sister Alya and aunt Susie come down for dinner and took their seats.

“Don’t hesitate dear.” Father says.

I’m not used to eat much food. If i eat much food I would throw them up later. So i only drink soup.

“Aren’t you going to eat anything?” Alex says.

“Is the food not your liking? Tell me what dish you love I’ll make it for you" Aunt Susie says.

“O-oh no I’m full don’t worry please continue your dinner” I replied stuttering.

“Well if you say so then why don’t you go upstairs and take a nice warm bath. It will relieve your stress. Wait I’ll tell someone to draw a warm bath for you.” Aunt Susie.

“Oh no don’t worry I can do that"  I replied.

Even though I resist she still told one maids to draw the bath for me. After the maid finish preparing the bath I leave the dining room and went upstairs to take a bath.

 The shower is already prepared. There’s a beautiful rose smell in the water. The water isn’t not too cold and not too warm. Perfect temperature. I take off my clothes and sit in the bathtub. Some of my cuts and bruise from two days ago is stinging. I wonder if i can find any ointment here. If i ask them for ointment they might get suspicious. I finished taking bath and wear a pair of sexy lingerie. I wear a robe above it. Today’s our first night of marriage. I don’t know what he up to.

My mother said to me to seduce him and ask money from him so that I can send them money. I should probably do that. Otherwise who know dad won’t do something bad to Sokolov family.  I don’t want to happen anything bad to Sokolov family. They all are nice people.

After I get out of bath I put some makeup on my face and try to cover up my bruise and cut marks with foundation. When i was fully prepared I sat on the bed and wait for him. I'm also scared for what’s going to happen tonight. It’s not like it’s my first time but still what if he hates me if he find out my cuts and bruises. Will he kick me out? Then where will i go? Dark thoughts keep swirling inside of my head when I hear the door open.

I saw Alex coming inside. Looks like he also took a shower. He was half naked. Only wearing his shorts and drying his hair with towel.

“Oh are you finished? I also took a shower from the room beside us.” Alex says when he notice me.

My face become red and I can feel it. The room was dimly light.

“Let’s go to sleep. You must be tired” Alex says again as he sat on the door.

I was a bit shocked by his answer. Maybe he hates me that’s why.

“Now come in the blanket. I know what you are thinking. I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable.  So don’t worry come here" Alex says recurring me a bit.

I went under the blanket. It’s so soft and comfortable. I instantly falls asleep. But before falling asleep I hear Alex says.

“Good night, love"

I must hear wrong.
