2024-10-29 19:42:56Sharon trembled in fear when she heard he was back to the villa, she was scared to death to see his disfigured features.
She had tried to avoid seeing his face earlier, that was why she didn't switch on the light in the room she was taken to, and now it seems she can't escape it which made her more frightened, and her heart thump faster.
John march into the living room and witness Sharon falling to the ground. He hurried towards her to help her up on her feet.
"Are you okay?" His manly voice asked and he quickly step forward to help her up on her feet.
In the process of wanting to help her, Sharon saw half of his face was severely burnt with fire, and the sight of him is frightened, his burnt face was irritating.
She got more scared and fell back to the ground, shivering in fear, her gaze on her toes, avoiding eye contact with him.
John withdraws from helping her up after he noticed she was scared of his half burnt face.
He thought she wasn't scared of him after defending him in front of the reporters, and now she's scared of him.
He clenched his fist and look at her in disdain, then slowly turned to Ann.
"Escort her out of the house, I don't want to ever see her within the vicinity." He said, and without taking another glimpse at her, he marched further to his room.
The sound his footsteps made while he strides to his room, was enough to heed warning to you.
Sharon felt a pang and buried her head on the floor. It was obvious she just got him mad, and her father isn't going to take it likely with her. She was supposed to please him and not get him mad at her.
Ann turned to Sharon and slowly helped her up from the floor to her feet. "I'm sorry, you will have to leave, the engagement has been annulled, but the GU family is still going to help your family."
"After what just happened, you think they will help my family?" Sharon wanted to ask, but held it back.
'Is that even possible after what I just did? If they helped my family, does that mean I can keep my innocence, get the investment and run away?' Sharon thought, and ponder on what Ann just told her.
Even though she never wanted things to turn out this way, but she couldn't hide her fear. John's features is frightened, there's no way she should have just pushed her fear back and welcome him with open hands.
A man who's feared by mostly all, she can't be the only one who's comfortable with him, when he's features are frightened to look at.
"Please this way." Ann's voice pulled her out of her reverie.
"You have to leave the house before the boss gets back here and find you." Ann added, and she bobbed her head in response.
She quietly trailed behind Ann as she escorts her out of the house.
John got to his room and slam the door hard, he kicked the wardrobe close to him and ruffle his hair in frustration. He is raged, but tried to keep his calm to avoid doing something he might regret later.
'How can she switch from not scared to being scared of me?' John thought inwardly.
He thought maybe the interview was just a lie, she was trying to get his attention which she did succeed because at that moment he felt something for her in his heart, he liked her.
He wanted to make her his wife, but in the blink of an eye, she switched to being scared of him.
He paced furiously thinking about the scene from earlier, he had no idea who would have sent the reporters to his house, no stranger knew about his engagement with her, and the last person he could think of right now, he hoped it wasn't him.
He saved himself from the stress of thinking and stride to the bathroom to freshen up.
There's only one way to find out who the real villain and his accomplice are, and he's going to make use of that techniques to find them.

The next day, Ann woke up earlier to do her morning routine. After cleaning up, she picked up the trash bag and stride towards the door to dispose them outside.
She sang a song as she strides to the door, and immediately she pushed the door open and step out, she came into view with a sleeping figure on the cold floor outside the house.
She froze in her stand, dropped the trash bag, and slowly stride towards the figure.
She halt and came into view with a sleeping Sharon. "Goodness, Sharon, what are you doing on the cold floor?" Ann panicked, her jaw dropped to the ground, and she quickly tapped on Sharon to wake her up.
Sharon felt a light tap on her skin, and slowly adjusted her eyes to the light, as they snap open, her gaze landed on Ann whose face was marred with worry.
"Good morning Miss Ann." She managed to greet in a low tone, she shut her eyes back, and gently rub them to clear the sleep from her eyes.
Ann place her hands on her skin and felt her temperature, she was burning.
"Are you okay? Quickly get up, let me take you inside, why did you sleep here throughout the night? You should have rung the bell when you came back." Ann said while helping her up her feet.
Sharon was shivering really hard, the weather from last night affected her, which made her woke up with a high cold and fever.
After Sharon left last night, she had to return to the villa, she thought her family might her been the ones to propose the deal first, that was why she came back and slept outside the house without a word from her.
