Nikolay:
“You can’t be serious?” Kiara asked with wide eyes. I smirked and stood in front of her. Taking a step forward forcing her to take a step back until her back hit the wall forcing her to stop moving. Her eyes met mine and I put my hands either side of her head. Caging her between my arms.
“Now, I do recommend that you NEVER do the little stunt you did out there…” I leaned closer to her ear. My hot breath hitting her neck “unless you want me to be sure that you won’t be able to walk”
Kiara gulped and I smirked when she pushed me back. Taking a step forward away from me, her cheeks red as she blushed walking past me. She opened the door to walk out of my bedroom, with me one step behind her.
“I recommend you taking Advil, I’m guessing your fever rose a little” I winked at Kiara who froze in her spot, her back to me. I could tell that she wanted to say something to respond to my comment, but she kept herself controlled and walked inside her bedro
Kiara: “So, where are we going?” I asked as we got inside the car. One of his men, according to him Anastas was going to be taking me wherever I needed to go and whenever I needed. He had introduced him to me before he went to get the car, Nikolay deciding that he wanted to drive. “That’s a little surprise” he said smirking. His muscle contracting as he put his hand on the wheel. It was the first time I’ve seen him wearing a t-shirt since we were kids, and since we only met during fancy gatherings or galas, I only saw him wearing a suit. But today, he was wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans. His hair of course was as neat as always, his scruff light and he smelled like cologne. “Why? Planning on sacrificing me with style?” I teased making him chuckle and shake his head. I raised an eyebrow at him smiling and biting my bottom lip in amusement. “If I wanted to sacrifice you, I would have done it at home” Nikolay winked. Starting the car, he drove ou
Nikolay: “Thank you” Kiara smiled at the waitress as she gave her the mug of coffee she ordered. The waitress nodded at Kiara and smiled at me making me smirk when I noticed that she actually wrote her number on a napkin and ‘accidentally’ dropped it on the table in front of me. “Cliché” Kiara commented. “But effective” I mused putting the napkin in my pocket. Kiara raised an eyebrow but didn’t bother commenting, though I could already tell that she was somewhat jealous. However, knowing her, I knew that she would never admit that she was. “So, you’re basically now my business partner” I asked changing the subject. Kiara smiled and nodded, her eyes avoiding mine as the waitress came back again. This time bringing our food, Kiara looked at her plate and shrugged pushing it away. Making it obvious that she didn’t want to eat anymore. “Miss? Is everything alright? Do I need to change anything?” The waitress asked Kiara who shook her head. Taking
Kiara: “What the hell?” Nikolay snapped when we got home. Him and I went to Niagara Falls, he tried making it up to me, I must admit. He did his best to keep me smiling through the whole day, but now he was furious and I couldn’t understand why. I followed him and my eyes widened when I saw Claudia in the arms of a teenager. The kid looked to be a year or so older than she was, and I could tell that he was the kid Nikolay told Claudia against dating yesterday. His eyes were flaring with anger as he looked at his little sister. “Nikolay…” “Stay out of this Kiara” Nikolay hissed at me. Turning to his sister, he walked toward the kid who now scrambled away from Claudia. Finding his shoes as he tried leaving. Running away from the fury of the mafia man who looked like he was going to shoot the poor, frightened kid. “Nikolay! Stop!” Claudia said standing in front of the kid. Defending him from her brother. I couldn’t describe the look of pain and a
Nikolay: I woke up with a smile on my face. For the first time in a while, I had actually had a full night’s rest. And when I looked beside me, I knew the reason. There she was, the girl who I had longed for. Asleep beside me on my bed. Her palm under her cheek as she breathed evenly. Sleeping on her side facing me, her expression calm. I was tempted to run my finger over her cheek, smiling at the sight of her being in peace by my side. Her and I having had a long night last night, and no, not that type of night. We just stayed up drinking, laughing, and talking for hours. However, both of us made sure not to get too drunk as to lose control or not remember what had happened. Just enough to loosen up and enjoy one another’s company, somewhere in the night we were watching a movie and I looked beside me to find Kiara curled up on the couch asleep. She had changed into sweat pants and a comfortable shirt a while before the movie and was sleeping
Kiara: “Good morning” I smiled at Nikolay opening my eyes. It had been a month since him and I started sharing his bedroom. I was laying my head on his bicep and his fingers were running through my hair letting me know that he was awake. “Good morning princess” he said gently. He had stopped me from sleeping in my own bedroom. Technically he didn’t say anything about it, he just kept coming up with excuses to stop me from staying there. Either telling me to come and watch a movie, or we’d be talking and I’d eventually dose off. In the end, I just realized that he didn’t want me to stay in my room and I just didn’t bother wanting to stay there, most of my things were here in his room too. “Sleep well?” Nikolay asked softly. His voice was gentle speaking to me, and I could tell that he was trying to make this work with us. Our marriage was somewhat working so far, we were going out on dates too. Though we didn’t really call it a date, we were just hangi
Nikolay: Kiara and I walked down the stairs, heading down to see my little sister who was causing me more trouble lately. “Nikolay, don’t be too tough on her. Your father already had his go on her, as did Adrian…” I kissed mom’s forehead stopping her from finishing what she was going to say, I knew that she would want me to be lenient with Claudia, she was her youngest. I couldn’t blame her, but I couldn’t be as lenient on her, if I was, then she would be crossing all limits. I couldn’t allow that. “I will do what needs to be done, mom. I can’t let her get away with running away, something could have happened to her” I said cupping mom’s cheeks, her eyes avoided mine and I frowned in confusion. Her face dropped as if disappointed “mom?” “Claudia didn’t just run away, Nikolay. When she came back, she was limping, she couldn’t climb her window, that’s how she was caught” mom said sadly. I frowned in confusion at mom’s statement, her body heated, and I r
Kiara: “Can you please book me one of the suites on the top floor?” I asked entering the hotel. It was one of those five star hotels that were a mafia’s safe ground. No matter what the feud between us outside the hotel’s grounds were, we were to sit like civilized people inside the hotel without harming one another, an IF one of us dared break these rules, then we all knew the fate of that ‘crime’. “As you wish Mrs. Ivanov. Do you wish for me to let your husband know that you are here?” The receptionist asked and I shook my head. I came here not to be found, another thing was confidentiality, if I wished to stay here for years without anyone knowing, the hotel could keep me here for as much as I desired. As long as I paid them of course, and no one would know that I was here if I didn’t wish it to be known. “I want no one to know that I’m here. Not Nikolay and most definitely not my father” I said seriously. The man nodded in understanding, his name was David
Nikolay:“Boss, she’s at the hotel” Anastas said calling me, I frowned in confusion, the hotel hadn’t informed me of my wife going there.“Which hotel?” I asked. I knew that it was impossible for her to go to any of my hotels, partner there or not, she would know that I would be informed and could easily tell them to bring her back here. The girl, Nadia, smiled softly on top of me, running her finger over my shirt as she kept her eyes on me while I spoke to Anastas.“She’s in Mafia safe grounds, she’s in Harry’s hotel, more specifically, with Harry in the restaurant” Anastas said and I frowned. But my frown quickly turned when Nadia began licking my neck making my pants tighten and my heart race, if she headed toward a mafia safe hotel, then she clearly didn’t want to risk me returning her here, nor did she plan on coming back tonight thinking that she would tie my hands down that way, or th
Kiara: I laid my head on my husband’s chest as he ran his fingers over my waist. The two of us having rented a house on the beach for a few days to be alone. “So, what do you want to do today?” Nikolay asked me. His lips kissing my temple as I smiled and I looked up at him. “Well, for starters, I want us to make up for lost time. Lost love hours and minutes, you know, that kind of thing” I said looking my husband in the eye, he smirked and laid wrapped his arms around me, bringing me closer to his chest. Bringing my lips to his own, kissing me softly. “You know, since we’re finally alone for the next few days. I was thinking that we could give Dani and Lia a little baby brother or sister” Nikolay said making me raise an eyebrow. “Our children are still babies, Nik” I said looking at Nikolay who smiled. “Exactly, they can grow with one another, having a near age range. They’d be our next generation” Nikolay said looking me in the eye “s
Nikolay:“So, do you want to politely tell me what else you did? Or do I need to break the rest of your teeth?” I asked Anastas. My fists covered in blood from punching him as hard as I did. I was currently wearing metal rings that I knew would break his whole jaw if I put the correct force into my punch.Anastas spat on me and I raised an eyebrow before punching his abdomen making him cough out blood. His eyes widened as he tried catching his breath, it having been knocked out of his chest. I was thankful for the walls being soundproof, otherwise, I would’ve have taken this elsewhere.“Again, what else did you do to harm my family?” I asked calmly. My voice was controlled as Vladimir pulled the man’s head back by his hair, forcing him to look at me. Anastas’s eyes were wide in fear as he saw the danger that he was in. But it wasn’t like he didn’t know it, he grew up with me. He knew what annoyed me, what did
Kiara:“Hey” Maddie said peeking her head through the bedroom’s door. Turning my attention to her, I forced myself to smile and nodded at her to come inside.“Hi” I smiled at her, standing up from the floor. I was sitting on the floor with my back resting against the couch. Her eyes met mine and she sighed wrapping her arms around my neck. Hugging me tightly as she did and I embraced her hug. Thankful for her being there for me.“Don’t want to join us for breakfast, Kia? You’ve been dodging your meals unless Nikolay pulls you down with him, and you know that it isn’t good for you” Maddie said softly. She wasn’t blind, no one in this house was. I knew that I wasn’t being fair to myself or this family with what I was doing to myself. But I couldn’t help it.One part of me was still mourning over the loss of mother, the other was breaking inside for not being worth the time of this
Nikolay: “Come on” Kiara said smiling as she put the spoon of soup in my mouth. The fact that the nurse had told her that the less movements I made, the better it would be made her not allow me to move from the bed unless I wanted to go to the bathroom, and even that was with the help of one of the men. Though, I wouldn’t lie and say that I can’t see the sadness in her eyes. Despite the smile that she’s been putting on, I can see the exhaustion in her beautiful green orbs. That fact itself was bothering me, whatever it was, I knew that she was blocking it inside her as not to worry or upset me when I was in such a state. But that didn’t mean that I liked or appreciated it. I put my hand on hers when she was about to lift the spoon from the bowl making her frown in confusion as I studied her expression “what’s going on, baby girl? What are you keeping from me that’s having you this broken?” My questions seemed to catch her off guard as she put th
Kiara:I stared at Nikolay’s lifeless body for a second before turning my attention to my mother whose eyes were wide in both fear and confusion.“What have you done, Kiara?” She asked as she stared at both Grace and Nikolay “what have you two done?”“The task, mother” I said coldly. Her eyes were wide in fear when they met mine and I nodded giving her a cold smile, one which she taught me how to give for a long time. She had told me once that it was the way to survive in the mafia world, a cold smile which didn’t reach your eyes, but gave you a peace of mind. She rushed out of the podium through a door and I nodded at Richard to come with me, the two of us leaving the startled audience as we walked through the door. Ian was hiding somewhere, staying away from the spotlight, though that wouldn’t be for long. Mother would come and look for him, and that might not end too well for her, especially when sh
Kiara:“HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?” Mum yelled at the top of her lungs as she walked inside the dorm where Richard and I were staying. The two of us being the last contestants had the dorm to ourselves.“Hello to you too, mum” I said rolling my eyes. Crossing my arms over my chest, I waited for her to approach me.“You are writing your own death certificate, Kiara! Why the hell are you doing this? What happened to the woman who didn’t cheat on her husband?” Mum snapped. I stayed quiet as I watched her rant “you going ahead and announcing doing this publicly, IN FRONT of Nikolay and the other families, have you really become this reckless?”“So, it’s okay to do it without them knowing? Like cheating but hiding it?” I mocked rolling my eyes at mum whose eyes widened “my marriage is long over, mother. You made sure of it when you kidnapped me, you know, darkening my heart and eyes as
I waited for Kristina to report to me that the bodies of Lara, Emmanuel, Mila, and Joy were sent to their families before reporting back to them that their kids have taken the doses, and that they would be waking up after taking the antidote. My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw that Richard and Kiara were on the same team against four contestants who could rat them out. However, that fear quickly faded away when three of them died, leaving Kiara, Richard, and Yang for the last two levels. Though we didn’t know when they were going to start with them. The fact that they were going to stay in that place for a while longer than necessary worried me, especially since Yang was on edge as she believed that Kiara was with Richard, and that the two were cheating on me. We had two options, to either wait and see what would happen, or I could just give an order to shoot the woman, and we get everything done with. But as tempting the idea was, I knew that I couldn&rsq
Kiara:The games passed by in a flash.Though not as we planned for them to.Ella had died before we even managed to give her the injection. Stefan who refused to take it thinking that we would end up killing him followed a few games later. Lucas having taken it, is now safe with his family. Mikhail followed on the second game. Yang was down to two chances before she lost and was refusing to give up now. The games were literally becoming an addition to some of the contestants who were refusing the fact of losing, some even claimed that I wanted them out for me to win the games. Lara, Mila, Emmanuel, and Joy have been a great help in saving those who would end up losing their lives. Emmanuel literally grabbed one of the contestants and shoved the injection in his neck without his consent when he saw that he was giving me a fuss. Now we were down to ten contestants, and the final level was approaching soon. My heart ached whenever I thought of what was to c
Nikolay:“So, we’ll proceed with the injection?” Kiara asked and Sebastian nodded. Her and Richard were with us in the underground secret tunnel. Well, not so secret but anyway.“You’ll proceed with everything as you planned. However, Ella would be the first to leave, due to being injured. You’d need to have her get out of the games before she actually does die, and there’s the fact that you’ll need to be more careful about who you trust and who you don’t from now on” Sebastian said and Kiara nodded.“What about those who died in the other game? Why didn’t we give them the injection?” Kiara asked and Sebastian sighed running his fingers through his hair.“They had their differences with Nikolay and the Ivanov family. We had caught them wanting to plot against them, but that’s a whole different story. Just be sure that everything goes smoothly and that YOU regain your
