"There you are Iris!" Ashley shouted when she was done dancing.
Her face was so red already but her make-up was very on point. She stared next to me then her face went pale.
"Brother! What are you doing here?"
I felt like she also lost her intoxication because Zach wasn't smiling at her. Zach's grip tightened on my waist, seemed to remember the betrayal Ashley and I had committed.
"Ashley, what brought you here?" Zach asked innocently when Ashley sitted infront of us.
She drunk water this time. I wanted to laugh because she was uncomfortable. Her date must be too important for her so her brother was able to scare her like this. I would talk to him if he wouldn't help her.
"Cut it out, Zach!" Ashley said as she lowered the glass of water to our table full of cocktails. "I've done my part, you know. It's just..." She was looking for
"What are you doing here?" I asked him in shock. He wore his mask again. "Chilling like an ice cream, chilling."I rolled my eyes as he answered. I looked again at my wet clothes. "Everytime we meet I'm always getting lucky," I said sarcastically.I could feel he was smirking under his mask. "Of course, God sent me. Long time no see, yes?" He then stared at my dress. "If you didn't get because of your clumsiness, you look good tonight. You look very different than before. Woah?" he said as if we were close."You too," I turned to him and I suddenly remembered the magazine that had ruined me. "Thank you last time for lending me your porn."He laughed even the music was loud I could still hear him. "I told you, don't do that. You're the only one who insists.""You should have told me!" I argued. "Who would bring those things in public!?"&n
He was holding a black collar just like the last time. But it was much larger than the last. My heartbeat quickened. We did it before but why it was scary this time? Was it because he was really mad right now?Zach half smiled. "Are you afraid, Iris?" he asked as he played with the handle in front of me.I was almost catching my breath. "No," I lied."Do you still trust me?" he asked, then lowered down so we were in the same levelI didn't know why he's asking me that. He knew what my answer would be even in situation like this."I do..." I stared at him. "Even if you're mad at me right now, I still trust you."His eyes darkened. "Trust and honesty are big words, Iris. You can't just say you are when you're feeling not. You have to be honest so you'll avoid getting hurt."I swallowed. It was as if all the alcohol had disappe
"You seem too excited today," Zach commented."It's because I'm going to see my family after a long time," I said.I was arranging the clothes I would take to my family's province. I was so glad he would go with me. I know he was a very busy man but spending time with me, away from his office and his home was a huge stepped in our relationship.I bought a huge amount of clothes even we were staying there for a few days only. It was better to be ready than nothing to have when needed, right?"You miss them that much?" he asked and hugged me from behind.I got distracted instantly. Was this normal? Or a progress too? I could no longer concentrate on what I was doing. I could smell him. I just want to bury myself in his neck and not move. This Zachary Levi Esqueza smell was so addictive.I closed my eyes, putting my best
We found my mom serving plates. Since this house was almost open, you could see everything including the kitchen, living room, stairs to the second floor etc etc. Mom's face hadn't change at all but she looked younger than the last time I saw her. God, I missed her. I missed my mom."Mom," I whispered.Even though it was almost a whisper, Mom suddenly stopped arranging the plates and slowly turned her head."Iris," she said in disbelief.Did they really think I wasn't going? I couldn't move from where I was standing I just felt Zach's hand move to my waist telling me to go hug her.I slowly approached mom and hugged her tightly. I couldn't hold back my tears and she did the same to me."Oh darling," she said while caressing my hair. I put my head on her shoulder."Mom, I miss you so much!" I sobbed.&nbs
The moon was in full moon mode tonight. It was a few minutes left before Christmas. My family slept early because they were not into celebrating it in mindight. Dad wasn't allowed to stay late. We usually gift giving the next morning.Zach was roaming around my room, he was expecting everything he could see about me."Didn't you have a picture when you were a kid?" He asked while holding my photo album from high school."No, Dad said it got burned in our first house."Zach frowned at night "Burned?""Yes, I was still a baby then so I don't remember either. But he said that someone intentionally burned it to get rid of us since they wanted tu build a company where our house was."Zach's face got worried "Who did it, Iris? Where do they live? Do you know their name? And what job they have now?""Don
"Oh my God! What are you guys doing?!"I breathed a sigh of relief because I heard Anya's voice."Would you guys get a room?!" she shouted again. My face was really red. "A-ah, A-anya, Zach is just try—""Why can't you look?" she asked.I slowly looked at Anya and my facial expression changed when I saw who was with her."Why are you still together? What time is it?" I asked back. Now Anya's eyes were panicking, not knowing what to answer."Mark just helped me to get home!" she defended then bit her lip."Accompanied? At this time?""Y-yes," she said while stuttering. "W-we just bought something!" He kicked Mark next to herz "Didn't us, babe?" She then eyed him."Y-yes, we just bought something." Mark also stuttered.
We were just circling around the park. It was getting a bit crowded as the sun was about to go down. We were roaming from stall to stall. Zach was amazed how cheap the food and clothes here. He said he wanted to go back here every year since it's always like this every Christmas season."Wear this," I handed Zach the black mask I had chosen, it was only half up to the nose.We were in front of a stall now. I smiled when Zach took what I gave him. He didn't ask me why and trusted my plan."Like this, Mrs. Esqueza?" Zach asked when he wore it."You look perfectly gorgeous, Zach. Even though half of your face is still covered," I said disapprovingly.Zach took the silver mask and put it on my face."And you look perfect, Mrs. Esqueza. It's indistinguishable that a beautifu
I smiled at him, my most sweetest smile I could give."If isn't obvious you look dazingly beautiful, Mrs. Esqueza." Zach offered his hand to me.I held his hand and stared to his eyes. "Thank you, Mr. Esqueza. You look beyond perfect."He smiled sweetly and then kissed me on the forehead. I lifted the gown I was wearing a little first then we continued walking.I didn't know what's up with him and where he would take me. He said this time was his way, right? He was really full of surprises. We went straight in an unfamiliar venue. Who would have thought that he had already arranged a date like this? People were wearing gowns and tuxedos too."Mr. Esqueza, we're very glad you came." We were greeted by a woman. I guessed it was near Zach's age."You know I don't miss your event
