Missing Out On The Fun

As my fingers crackled with flames, the intruder remained calmly seated, watching me like a performer putting on a show.

The 'intruder' in question was none other than Nikolaus... Who was proving once again why he was the bane of my existence.

He sat comfortably, one leg crossed on top of the other on a sofa. MY sofa... In MY house that I bought with MY money.

The nerves!

"I will not repeat my question. What the fuck are you doing in my house?" I demanded, the rage burning inside me acting as fuel to the flames I summoned.

However, Nikolaus chuckled, raising his hands in mock defeat. "Relax now, Sylvain. I'm just here to talk. It's actually an observation." He spoke calmly, not threatened at all by me.

He stood up, his eyes fixed on mine, a malicious grin on his face.

"Why are you so threatened anyway? Back in the old days, I could visit you in your house whenever I wanted and you wouldn't even flinch." He mused, a cocktail glass in his hand.

Again, MY cocktail. From MY bar.
