I remained expressionless when I heard Ravenna's statement, but dismissed it. "Don't be silly, Ravenna. I'll be damned before I have anything even vaguely platonic to do with that scum." I spoke snarkily.

Ravenna walked up to me, looking worried. "It's been a while since you've looked so upset because of Nikolaus. Are you sure nothing happened? Is it about Aria again? Seriously, that girl is quickly becoming a–" She was about to say some more things that I was sure I wasn't going to like hearing, so I snapped at her.

"I am not upset, Ravenna!" My tone said otherwise and her arched eyebrow indicated she wasn't buying it.

I scoffed, trying to regain composure before I continued. "Nikolaus spiked the emotions of students in school today. Innocent students, humans, werewolves, witches, and even lesser young vampires... All because he was trying to create a distraction to spy on me."
