ARIA
*** "Are you shy? This isn't our first time, you know?" Orion, my boyfriend, and mate, whispered teasingly into my ears as he grabbed my waist with both hands. My cheeks heated up as I struggled to keep eye contact and not make this awkward. We'd both snuck out of family dinner to have some fun in my room. No, it's probably not what you're thinking. My father and I had moved into Orion's house a month earlier, after my eighteenth birthday. After... The incident. Anyway, my room was lit up with a calm blue light, and I had a decently large bed with a fluffy white duvet. Orion and I had been kissing when he suddenly wanted to take things further. "B–but I'm not ready yet," I muttered softly as I tried breaking away from Orion's hold to no avail. His clear blue eyes stared deep into mine and I could see the longing in them. His throat bulged as he swallowed saliva while trying to hold in his desires. A smirk crept up his lips as he whispered. "We've done it once, don't you think it's about time we did it again?" My eyes fluttered as I hesitated. Was I really ready for it? After that night? Last time, we'd both been drunk, and I regretted it deeply even though we were mates. Suddenly, Orion's hands trailed down my back before slowly lifting my shirt. His hands proceeded to crawl down my back until his fingers grazed my ass crack softly. Yup, that would do it. I finally mustered enough strength to turn Orion around and shoved him onto the bed. "Oh, uh... Will you look at the time? We really gotta go to bed if we don't want to get late for school tomorrow." Orion rubbed his head, probably because of the force of it hitting the bed. He looked up at me like I'd gone insane, his brows creasing into a frown. "Aria, what the–" he tried speaking but I wasn't about to hear it. I ran away, opening the door without looking back and stepped out of the room, forgetting the fact that it was mine. Crap... This was not my night. I rushed back into the room and left the door wide open before gesturing at it. I gave Orion an apologetic smile as he slowly got up. "I'm sorry... I'm just not ready yet." I heaved a sigh. I could've sworn I saw his eyes twitch but eventually, he nodded and walked toward the door. I stepped aside to make way for him and diverted my gaze in shame until he got outside. "I guess this is a good night, then." He smiled wryly, placing his hands into his pants pocket. I nodded sheepishly before adding. "Yeah... Good night kiss?" Orion rolled his eyes before stepping forward and planting a kiss on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I took in the taste of his mouth against mine. The strong scent of his cologne swept me up as our chests pressed together. My stomach danced and I felt like I was levitating. Eventually, Orion removed his lips from mine and winked at me. "Our nights wouldn't end with only 'good night kisses' for much longer, Aria." His voice was a low rumble, tickling the back of my head. I gulped as I watched him walk away down the hallway before I shut my door behind me. Ugh, moon have mercy! 'Sorry, Alpha. That would have to wait.' I apologized to my Alpha wolf, the most active of my five wolves. Yup... I have five inner wolves. And each of them had a name according to the vibe they gave me. There was Alpha, the most active and dominant one who's been with me since I was little. The rest started awakening after my eighteenth birthday. The others were Nightshade, Mystic, Lunar, and Chaos. The last one, chaos, was the least active and honestly felt non-existent sometimes. But I could always feel her, lurking deep inside. Anyway, Alpha growled in protest of my unwillingness to take things further with Orion than just kissing and touching, but I ignored her as I took off my clothes and hurriedly had my bath. My head could get really crowded sometimes with all the noises from my wolves. Funny enough, I could understand their animalistic sounds a little too well, since they were my wolves. I was a special case, kept a secret from the world. I was a five-fold werewolf, the only one in existence apparently. For years, I'd thought I only had one inner wolf... Which was my Alpha wolf. However, on my eighteenth birthday, which was the day a werewolf would finally be able to shift fully into their wolf side, I made a shocking discovery. I have five wolves inside me! Not one, not two... FIVE. And for some reason, the Alpha of my pack has been trying to hunt my ass down ever since this discovery was made, forcing my father—his brother— to flee with me to our current location... New Orleans. New Orleans was home to one of the most formidable and largest werewolf packs in the world, the Silver Moon pack. And Orion's father is the Alpha of this pack. Anyway, after I was done washing up, I dried myself with a towel and soon got out of the bathroom. I got dressed into my pajamas and was soon ready for bed. "Relax, Alpha," I whispered out loud to my most dominant wolf. "We'll just have to be patient. Don't worry, I'll be able to move on from that night and then we can allow ourselves to have fun with our mate." It had always been me and Alpha against the world. Among all my wolves, I was closer to her. The others felt more like "bonuses" or something and weren't of much use in my life. As I drifted into sleep, however, I was restless as my Nightshade wolf, the second most active among my wolves, began howling inside me for no apparent reason. Gosh, she always does that every night! I gritted my teeth as I tried ignoring her. This was my life now… like it had always been since I turned eighteen. I'll get used to it soon enough. The next morning, I had a quick bath but took my time picking something to wear. I ended up wearing a form-fitting black trouser and a denim jacket over a white T-shirt. After taking one last look at my reflection in the mirror, I rushed outside to go have breakfast downstairs. A few maids, all werewolves, curtsied when I walked past them... Something I still hadn't gotten used to even after a month of getting here. Being the mate of the Alpha's son did have its perks. When I got downstairs, I met Dad having breakfast at the dining table alongside Orion's father, Alpha Michael, and his mother, Luna Laria. My father, who had a well-trimmed beard, was the first to notice my presence and raised his head. "Ah, Aria." A warm smile stretched across his face as his gaze softened. "Good morning, darling. How was your night?" I smiled sheepishly before responding. "Good morning, Dad. My night was..." I paused, remembering the embarrassing incident with Orion. Ugh, someone bury me r
Whoever this mysterious guy was, his eyes were one of the most beautiful I've seen in my life. Scratch that, they were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen! His eyes were deep golden and seemed like they were staring into my soul. When his gaze fleeted to meet mine, time stopped. I couldn't hear anything except for my own heart beat which increased under his gaze. To make things worse, for the first time in forever, my Nightshade wolf reacted. She howled as if trying to tell me something. Luckily, no one other than myself could hear her howls, but it was still embarrassing nonetheless. Why was she acting this way because of this random guy?Nightshade had never shown any interest in a man ever since my other wolves awakened. All she cared about was keeping me awake at night... Until now."Pardon, did you want to read this?" The mysterious man spoke with a deep voice that threatened to sweep me off my feet. Sweet mother of everything unholy! He had this soft smile on his face as
"Anyway, girl, we gotta go for that General Biology class. I don't want to be late." Elizabeth stood up and started packing her bag all of a sudden.I arched an eyebrow at her. "Late? We still have like... Ten minutes left." I protested. She ignored my remark and simply blurted. "Ten minutes which I don't want to spend gossiping about your mysterious new crush. Come on, let's go." My face heated up with a blush. Rude!I got up when it was obvious that Elizabeth would leave me behind without looking back. I followed grumpily beside her as I finally let myself stop thinking about Sylvain. ..General biology class proved to be longer than I expected. I sat beside Elizabeth in the large hall and occasionally glanced around. Orion was missing. After the class was over I stood up and voiced my concern to Elizabeth. "Orion didn't attend General Biology lectures today," I muttered as Liz jotted down something in a notebook. She raised her head to glance at me for merely a few seconds b
With each thrust Orion made into the girl, I felt my chest tighten more and more. The two idiots were so lost in their sinful moment that they didn't even notice my presence. The disgusting smell of their pheromones filled the air, only adding to my sorrows. But soon, that sorrow morphed into rage. "Orion!" I screamed as I waltzed toward them. The two of them jolted just then and tried adjusting their clothing, but it was too late for them anyway. I grabbed the broken leg of a wooden table and charged at Orion and the bitch he was screwing. Meanwhile, my incompetent mate waved his hand in front of his face. "A–Aria, let me explain. I... I didn't –""Save it for your mother, you sick bastard!" I screeched before raising the stick. With a swift swing, I broke the table leg on his butt, causing him to yelp in pain. But I ignored that before turning my gaze to the girl. She wore a short dress and had blonde hair that looked like it was natural. Everyone knew her. "Cassandra!" I gri
SYLVAIN***"New Orleans?" I repeated after raising my eyes away from the letter Ravenna, my confidant and only friend, dropped on the table. We were seated in a dimly lit room, which was also my office and meeting room. Ravenna, who had long, straight black hair, snow-white skin, and lips redder than blood, placed her palms on the table from across the other chair where she sat. She wore a black tight dress that emphasized her curves and reached her knees. "Yes, Lord Darius has a deal to seal with the resident werewolf Alpha there," Ravenna spoke in a silvery tone before smirking. "Come on, Sylvain. It's been a while since we went home. I miss New Orleans and we can't ignore Lord Darius's orders now, can we?"I sighed, resting my back on the chair I sat on. For decades I and Ravenna had been exploring the world, keeping our distance away from New Orleans and the clan. Most resident vampires of the New Orleans clan made it a habit to move from town to town or city to city once eve
Monday came faster than I'd anticipated. And with it meant the first day of school. When I stepped foot into the campus, I was hit with the nauseous stench of werewolves and the delicious scent of humans and witches. It's been a while since I fed. Seeing all these youths—full of life and vitality—gathered around made my cravings spike up. Perhaps I'll find a human to snack on without killing them later. I looked around aimlessly until I had no choice but to ask a human girl for directions. "Excuse me, miss?" I spoke with the kindest voice I could muster, wearing a smile. The girl was sitting alone on a bench and turned her gaze to me. However, her eyes softened and she soon had the same look that I saw in most human girls and even some guys whenever I spoke to them. Desire..."Uh... Hi. I'm... I'm... How may I help you?" She stuttered, her face reddening as she fixed her gaze on my eyes. I smirked, deciding to have a little fun by teasing her. "Sorry to disturb you, dear. I was
ARIA *** Was this some kind of joke? Sylvain, the mysterious new guy from school, was the one who stepped down from the car. He wore a black jacket over a black T-shirt and black jean pants. He had a necklace on his neck shaped like a crescent moon, which I hadn't noticed the first time we met. "Don't you know you have to be more careful when walking on the road?" He suddenly asked, snapping me out of my trance. I blinked awkwardly before turning my gaze to his eyes. He looked at me with an odd mix of amusement and curiosity. My face heated up with embarrassment but I still managed to speak up. "And don't you know speeding on the road can get you in prison?" Sylvain arched an eyebrow and scoffed as he stepped closer to me. I wanted to step back, I wanted to turn away and run the heck out of there because of the growing embarrassment I felt. But I didn't. Instead, I stood there like a statue as Sylvain finally got to me. He stood tall, gazing down at me with an expressio
I couldn't read the look in Orion's eyes but it wasn't warm. His gaze trailed my body possessively, making me even more sick in my stomach. "Let go of me, you cheat!" I snapped, yanking my wrist away from his grip. I growled, shining my teeth at him. If he doesn't get out of my way soon, they will become fangs, and I will use them. I didn't care if he was the Alpha's son or even the fucking president's son. However, my Alpha wolf whimpered inside me, trying to get me to calm down. 'Just hear him out.' she muttered softly, causing me to roll my eyes. She could speak to me but her voice wasn't very active in my head... Thank goodness. I couldn't imagine how other werewolves could manage to talk to their wolves like they were other personalities or something. Anyway, my eyes remained staring at Orion, my jaw clenching when he still held on to my wrist. But eventually, he loosened his grip, allowing me to easily slip my arm out of his. He scrunched his nose with an annoyed groan.
