Chapter 8 - Ulric POV

When the helicopter landed on our helipad, we were all safely away, outside the fences that kept the area isolated from pups.

Angel wasn't the first figure we saw. A tall, upright pup, giving off a powerful alpha aura, stepped out of the helicopter and looked around until he saw us. He just stood there like he was protecting someone. Afterward, the pilot came out, carrying with him some bags. Finally, the most beautiful specimen of werewolf I have ever seen jumps out of the helicopter.

I'm not gay, but there was a werewolf capable of making heads of all genders spin. I know how to appreciate male beauty. We werewolves are very rarely ugly. Even rogues are attractive, either way, but there in front of us was the most beautiful of them all.

Dressed in light blue jeans, ripped above the knee, a white T-shirt, white sneakers and a jacket to match the pants, he was a tall creature with an athletic physique, slightly long blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. That one was Angel, his face was almost a copy of his mother. We can all say that we are seeing a true angel that just fell from the sky.

Side by side with the alpha pup, they started walking towards us.

My kids, Colby and Dominic, run towards him and nearly run over the young alpha as they launch themselves into their friend's arms. I had to laugh at the young alpha's annoyed face.

Without taking their hands off Angel, almost fearing that he would evaporate, they walk together towards us, and when they stop in front of my old friend, my children walk away, leaving them face to face.

- Father.

- My son. - my friend answered.

They hugged, but it was a weird hug. After 12 years, it seemed like they had a long way to go.

When it was our turn to hug him, the hug was less awkward.

- Who is this young man who accompanied you? Your mate? - I asked him.

- I don't think so. - Angel laughed - This is my cousin Cedric. The alpha son of my pack.

- The pack that created you. - I amended, and Angel smiled, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.

- He's 17, and I feel sorry for his future mate. He's a terrorist.

- hey! - Cedric says, clapping Angel hard on the back. - My dad sent you his best regards, Alpha Ulric.

- I thank you, and when you talk to your father, tell him I reciprocate his wishes. Are you coming to stay for some time? Angel didn't inform us, but we're going to get a room ready right away.

- It's not necessary. I just came to accompany Angel.

- I mean, you were hoping that I would turn back halfway through the trip. - Algel responds

The boy laughed and I had to laugh too.

- You can't accuse me of trying. I'll have to spend my first shift alone. You promised to be there for me. But I forgive you - the boy with a mischievous laugh says.

- Come. You must be starving. - I told them.

I led them to the packhouse, where I had the table set and ready for them to eat. Using the mainlink, I told the shewolves to get some food and water delivered to the pilot. Everyone was warned not to shift as long as he was there. The man was human.

After we were all seated, I motioned for Angel and his cousin to eat, but they didn't seem very hungry. The food might not be what they are used to, but it was very good. All the fruits and vegetables were from our production, as well as the bread and cereals from which they were made. The meat was wild boar, which was hunted this morning. Everything smelled so good, but they barely ate it. I suppose it's all new to them. Anyway, tonight we will have a party to celebrate the return of "my other son, from a different father," as Klaus likes to say.

Speaking of Klaus, I have to call him. I need to know if he is representing the pack well.

In less than an hour, Angel's cousin said goodbye to everyone, hugged Angel with wet eyes, and left. Angel was silent.

Even my children were worried about Angel's attitude.

After a short time, Angel asked to go to the room, because he was tired, and wanted to sleep a little until the time of the party. I thought it was normal. He just had hours of travel, he really needed to rest.

We helped him to get his bags to his room. He was on the second level, the Beta level, in the pack house. My Luna arranged the room as if it was for one of her sons. All new, pay by her and the beta, who refuse to let her pay for everything.

The walls were painted white, and the furniture was all dark. A desk with a computer and printer, and an office chair, a chest of drawers, a TV on the wall in front of a king-sized bed, 2 bedside tables with two lamps, a closet, a bathroom, equipped with towels and hygiene products. The window overlooked a terrace, where there was a lounger and several vases with flowers. He could change everything if it wasn't to his liking.

On the bed were several packages wrapped with bows. They were gifts from all of us. It was obvious that we were more excited about his return than he and even his father.

He told us he liked his room, and we went away.

I confess that I'm a little afraid that he will repent and return to England.

When I got to my office, I picked up the phone and called Klaus,

- What's up, Dad? - my son asked.

- How are things? I hope you don't start a war. - I said to him and I swear I heard him rolling his eyes.

- All going as planned, dad. What about your other son? Has he arrived already?

My son keeps pretending he doesn't like Angel. I know what has happened in the past. Dominic told me everything. I know Klaus repented it, but he's very proud.

- Yes, Angel's home, and he will challenge you for the shewolf's attention. The pup looks damn good.
